Hi guys. Thanks for this great video! Had a right total knee replacement last November and need to keep up my physio as I continue my recovery. Am waiting for the left knee to be replaced too so am hoping these exercises will be good for both knees! Thanks so much for great channel. Best wishes from Anna in London England. 🙂
Thanks Anna. Strengthening your legs before surgery has been shown to improve your post-op recovery, so you are certainly thinking right. And these exercises would be a great way to do that. Just ease into it and gradually build up.
These exercises are perfect for me!!! I'm 70 years old with bad knees. Finally, an exercise program I can actually do!!! Thank you so much, you are so awesome!!! I am so grateful 🙏
Good to hear they are suitable for you Allison Let me know what part of your body is injured and I will point you in the direction of any videos that may help.
Hi Neil. Thank you for your thoughts. We are also big advocates of challenging yourself, no matter your age. In fact we have clients 60+ who have also deadlifted over 100kg. And we encourage them to do so! If you have watched some of our other content you may see us educating about the importance of lifting heavy as you age. However, we do also have a variety of content to meet different people where they are at. And this is one of those videos. There are so many different ability levels and we want to help more people get started with exercise. Good on you for already being so far along that journey. Keep it up.
These are great and very doable. How many reps and sets should I do? Also my knee replacement surgery is at the end of the month. Are any of these exercises NOT recommended after knee surgery ? Thank!
Great question. We recommend starting with 3 sets of 12-15 repetitions. Start at a very manageable level and progress slowly. Regarding post surgery exercise, these will certainly feature down the track, however follow you physio and surgeons guidance as they will be assessing you closely.

I have a pelvic tilt which is bad ,I cannot get on to the floor
Perhaps a sit to stand would be a good alternative for you

I find it difficult to do the bridge
Have you tried doing it lying on top of your bed?
