    What all did you have to change for the swap. Info on where you purchased your items would be great

    I need help in getting the 5.7 wiring harness to install into the 4.3 fuse box. The 5.7 came with its own fuse box on the harness. What's the best way to get the wiring done with this swap? Thank you.

    ok i know its a old video but in your fuse box i have a difference in mine from v6 to v8 with no brake relay pins. Did you have and of that issues everything hooked right up its just im missing brake relay wiring in fuse box on the v8 harness

      Your going to need to swapp harness cause your running a 6 injector harrness vrs the 8 injector harrness youll need. This swap is a little more than the tbi swap in my video

    Does that truck have the 4l60e? And if so could I use the harness in my truck for the 350? Or the 2 into one deal? 94 Chevy is the truck

    I did this same swap on a 95 GMC and the computer from the v8 wouldn't fit the harness for the V6. Swapped the chip out instead. The only problem I am having is a high idle. I'm thinking the chip is for an automatic and I have a standard and that may be causing the problem. Any suggestions?

      Marvin Green yeah you need to find a conputer for a v8 manuel trans. Thats why the one you have didnt pkug in but thats deff your high idel problem

      Man In 2007 I did a 4.3 rebuild on my 93, been having some issues here and there. Now i think i have a CAm lobe wearing down or dead lifter. I used all comp cam stuff, and starting to wonder about comp cam stuff being any good. One cylinder keeps having rocker chatter. Been to a couple diff shops, and it quiets until i drive it awhile then chatter returns. I suspect cam lobe wera. Who knows but my ol truck is letting me down. When it ran right it was pretty awesome. Lots of time and money invested. Just swapped out a bad rear end and beefed up the springs last summer, and a tranny rebuild. Not sure on mileage had to swap original cluster but im sure its under 70K from rebuild.

    Ive been wanting to swap the 6 out for a v8 in my 93 c1500 and I don't know what I need.

    • @chancevoss8496
      @chancevoss8496  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ben Caron all you need to swap is the motor mounts and the old ones just unbolt and bolt the new ones in theres a pic in the video. And youll need tp swap radiator hoses, and the ecm behind the dash. Other than that everything bolts up transmission included

      I'm thinking about doing the same thing. Putting a 350 into a'93 Silverado that currently has the 6 cylinder. Is there any modification to the rearend or suspension necessary? Besides what you previously mentioned (wiring harness, radiator, etc), is there no significant mechanical upgrade needed? Thanks in advance for any information.

    • @chancevoss8496
      @chancevoss8496  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dylan Stallings it was mounted just like the 350 just facing straight down cause the 350 was out of a 4x4.

    I know I need mounts computer and engine obviously anything fuel wise that I would need

      @chancevoss8496  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Daniel Contreras-Lopez if your going cammed 350 upgrade the fuel pump to the 96 vortec fuel pump it plugs right in and supports upto 430hp where the stock 93 350 fuel pump dont go over like 250hp

    • @chancevoss8496
      @chancevoss8496  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Daniel Contreras-Lopez i got my from the wrecking yard i got the motor out of. But you neex to find a 350 manual trans ecm. Stock will be fine everything else swiyches over minus the distributor.

    Want to swap my 92 silverado 4.3 to a brand new 5.7.. what do i need?

    • @chancevoss8496
      @chancevoss8496  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Youll need new motor mounts, raidator and hoses. Alternator will work off the 6. Wiring harrness is the same. Make sure you use the v8 tbi. Air fliter will be different. Water pump can be the same. Pretty much everything else swaps over youll deff neex the ECU (computer behind the glove box) i think that covers it all if im missing somerhing else just ask lol

    • @chancevoss8496
      @chancevoss8496  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh and youll need to find a v8 cluster cause for some reason the tac ends up being up 500 upto 1000rpm off. Like mine shows 3k but is running under 2k

    • @jeffdavis4032
      @jeffdavis4032 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That doesnt sound too bad. Do you think it would be worth it? My 4.3 only has 135k on it, but I want more power. I know the 5.7 tbi is probably the easiest swap.

    • @chancevoss8496
      @chancevoss8496  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Deff the easiest swap well worth it youll deff like the extra two cylinders. I would go ahead and put a mild cam with heads and maybe rebuild the heads all on a 5.7 and do it that way you wont even need to change the wiring harnnes everything plugs and plays. You will need to exstend the knock sensor tho.

      I have replaced most of the bolt ons on my 1992 4.3 but am getting ready to buy a 1996 5.7. Would it be worth my time to pull all of the new parts off the 92? How much of it will bolt right onto the 96 5.7?
