Welcome Carol. Gary Wood, I needs to get out on the road and get some more treasures. You are what I do this for, thanks. DVF100. I se a lot of videos disliked. This was from early in my learning to do this and not the greatest, mostly peeps just don't like the video and or audio quality, not the performance. U R kind.
Solid version of "Steal Away and Pray". Thank goodness for the Osborne Brothers: otherwise these folks would have to figure their own version of this tune, you know? Lol ...
Hmm, nope sorry but not exactly. This version is almost a note-for-note copy of the Osborne Brothers version. As for who made the 1st 'hit': this would be nobody yet: no recorded version sold enough copies to be considered a hit financially. Who actually 'recorded' a version of this tune 1st: yes, you are correct: it's the Louvin Brothers. Which version is the best? Personal opinion decides the answer to this question!
With the world in the condition it’s in....this song is so meaningful!!!!!

I swear that Jeff P went into a zone at about 2:0 that few singers get to go.
shenandoah cutups
WHO WILL HEAR YOUR PRAYERS ???????
I love the band and I like his voice, but he doesn't have the rock solid pitch of Jaime and Darrin.
I beg to differ. He belts it out without rarely any falsetto as Jaime uses. He's a true bluegrass singer.
who cares what they look like just listen
I do, !!! You look that way too do you!!?
That look? At age 74 that is my look.

The hit on this song's older than the Osborne Brothers .... try Louvin Brothers
@@FabbyGabby3 Exactly. Like this group better than the Osborne Brothers. Lovin Brothers were in a league of their own.
