- This building, the Devon Tower, is the tallest building in Oklahoma at 850 Feet tall. The highest rising elevator here travels 800 feet. Unfortunately, all of the other elevators besides the one in this video are behind turnstiles. I don't know if they would've let me go see the other elevators, because my dad didn't let me try. But the elevators I did ride in this video go to the restaurant known as VAST on the top floors of the building, floors 49 and 50. The specifications can be found below. Also, if anyone knows what the fixtures are, please tell me.

Very interesting cab and hall lantern in the lobby.
I like those unique lanterns that light up the whole length of the door frame!
+WestCoast Elevators I do too, I wish I got a better view of the whole thing in my videos.
Nice New Schindler!!!!!! I like 7000
+Superduper Julien These are very high quality elevators, very smooth and unlike most high-rise elevators, these didn't wobble and shake much at high speeds. I'd like to see more of these being installed in skyscrapers near me.
High rise OTIS and Thyssenkrupp elevators don't wobble or shake. KONE'S do because they are cheap temporary elevators. High rise Dover's and Westinghouse shake and wobble too but not because they are cheap.
Superduper Julien My general experience with high-rise elevators is that the faster ones shake more. The ThyssenKrupp elevators at Hyatt Regency Denver shake like crazy. The Otis at Wells Fargo Center Denver also shake a little bit too. The smoothest high-rise elevators I've ever ridden though were the double-deck Otis at the Republic Plaza. One thing to note is that older elevators also shake more than newer ones, which is why Dovers and Westinghouses are sometimes really shaky.
I've gone up some very tall observation towers that are more than 100 stories and they were perfectly smooth.
Superduper Julien Which towers?
Just three floor buttons? Wow
I will be dining on the 49th or 50th floor at Vast 750 feet in the air in a couple of days. The Devon Tower will be the tallest tower i have ever been in.
1:31 here we are at 49th floor everybody out
It has a large per floor ratio. It is like 17 feet per floor. Theoretically this building could easily have been 70 stories.
The height of the top floor of this tower is between 750 and 800 feet. Very tall floors.
@@ElevatingDenver 850ft tall Abd second tallest in Oklahoma is in Tulsa BOK TOWER is about 700ft tall
0:51 welcome to Devon tower we travel 1200 feet per minute in about 40 seconds this can take several seconds of if the elevator traveling at high speed
This is a lift I expect to find in a luxury hotel LOL
I think the First National Center in Oklahoma City has vintage Westinghouse elevators with pop-out buttons. Have you tried to film there before?
Unfortunately, I only got to film at the Devon Tower. My family is very restricting and only lets me go to one place when I visit a city. If that place ends up having turnstiles or something like that, I'm just out of luck. Plus, I can only go to a place if we can park our stupid 35+ feet long RV within like 2-3 blocks of the place.

Is 50 locked?
I don't think so, but I was here to go to the restaurant on floor 49. 50 is an event space.
@@ElevatingDenver ok was this modded or newly installed
@@elevatorkid4814 this is a new install from 2012.

what's the tallest building you've been in?
The tallest structure I have been in is the Stratosphere tower in Las Vegas. The tallest official skyscraper I have been in is the one in this video (Devon Tower, Oklahoma City).
Elevating Denver I live in Oklahoma City and this is the tallest building I've been in too
@@thunder6730 BOK tower with 52 floors I.n Tulsa is the tallest one I’ve been in
@@moopyfngaming6429 is BOK Towers high-rise elevator bank open to public?
@@ElevatingDenver yes it is I’ve been on them it should be and try some buildings in downtown Tulsa because they have a restaurant up at the BOK tower and you can try service elevators people say the elevators are fast and they are fast
Does it level fast?
The Elevator Daily I'm not sure. It's been like two years since I've been here, but I'd imagine it does.
If you come to Dallas there are a few nice elevators I know about.
@@elevatordailies I was looking at old comments and wondered if your channel was still around. I've actually been to Dallas now and visited the three tallest buildings. Let me know if you're still active or not, haven't heard from you in years.
@@ElevatingDenver I am not as active but that will soon change. I am about to quit Facebook and look for another platform. I was in Colorado last year and rode the Victor Hotel elevator. Loud door operator it has. Still a very nice elevator. Would love to chat sometime!
@@elevatordailies Yeah, that would be cool, I'm always available on my TH-cam channel and I also have Instagram and Snapchat. Glad to see you're still around, let me know if you want to connect on either of those platforms.
