I can't believe Disney+ has been out for more than 2 years and there is still no feature to remove something from Continue Watching. Most of the time I actually finish the titles I watch and still Disney+ doesn't register that I finished and keeps them in Continue Watching with 20 mn left or whatever even though I let it run to the very last second. So annoying.
TLDR : - For movies, skip to the end of the movie and let the final seconds of it play - For series, go to the final episode and skip to the final seconds of the credits and let it play out In my experience, you don't have to let the final seconds play; you can just skip right to the end. He also suggests deleting your entire profile (not account) and starting over but that's a lot of work to re-add shows to your list.
I don't know why. But I have now tried letting the credits play out 3 times on a variety of shows and movies and it still won't remove them from my 'continue watching' section
Unfortunately I'll have to delete my account because jumping the series to the credits doesn't work when the series isn't finish. Every time they release a new episode it appears on my continue watching..

Sadly, this only comfirmed what I had discovered. Also, using the slider doesn't consistently work. I suspect the amount of time you leave to play through may be the culprit. But the main reason they need to address this is the credits for all Disney+ originals. Every one is produced in at least a dozen languages, and the credits run for each of these productions! Again, sometimes I just push the slider along and it drops off the list, but sometimes not. I really hope Disney addresses this. I really can't imagine that this would involve complex programming to accomplish.
Allowing an episode to play thorough the entirety of its runtime doesn't always remove it from continue watching. Star Wars Blips for example, the last 'episode' of the series is.... 32 seconds long. No matter how many times I sit through this half minute of my life it remains in my continue watching list. Mocking me. I didn't realize you could jump to the last EP in a season to remove an accidental "started watching while I wasn't paying attention" thing. Good tip!
So I watch a movie, I finished it and whenever I log in the movie restart from the beginning and I try to end it but it’s say continue watching. It’s so annoying.

Yeah this doesn't work on all programs. I started watching Life in Pieces & dont wanna watch it anymore, Iv tried this method like 4 times but when i get to the end of the last episode it goes back to the first one so now im stuck with it on my continue watching x

How do you wipe it when it's on your MAIN profile? I do all my watching on my main profile, not a secondary profile. I can't delete my main profile, until I set a different profile as my main profile. But I don't know how to set a different profile as my main profile, if that's even possible. I just deleted my profile and created a new one to resolve my issue, as finishing watching was not fixing the problem. I wound up with four different Simpsons episodes that wouldn't go away no matter what I did. That "continue watching" system is more like a permanent record of every time I've fallen asleep in front of the TV. Absolute garbage system. How is their interface this terrible? It's buggy, it's a monstrous resource hog, it crashes more than any other streaming service I have, and now they want us to pay ANOTHER $30/mo for "premium" access. Unreal.

I think the reason Disney doesn't change this is because if you're on ad tier, to skip to the end you have to watch two series of ads so they're financially incentivized to make this process difficult.

Yeah that's what I did had to play the very last episode of the season just to get the video to go away. Disney should give subscribers a option to remove videos like how HBO Max does.

Doesn't work with the Star Wars Vehicle Flythroughs series on the PC, phone app or Microsoft store app. Extremely irritating. You'd think they'd simply have a "remove from cotinue watching" option like Netflix does.

Open the Profile & Parental Controls settings for the profile you want to manage. Change the Viewing Restrictions setting. Enter your Disney + password. Under Title Restrictions, type the name of the TV show or movie and click on the title when it appears. Like Netflix I don’t like Turning red cuz it’s bad such a bad words, puberty, nightmares (one eye), and violence Please update
Didn't work for me.....someone watched one of the star wars movies on my account & it shows 5 mins remaining. I clicked on it & let it run the last 10 seconds hoping that would work. But when I go back to the home screen it still shows the same way with 5 mins remaining. I even clicked on it & let it play the full 5 mins of credits until it went off completely on it's own & it still shows up as "continue watching 5 mins remaining" Grrrrrrrrr
For the movies it’s easy for the tv shows it’s hard but to get rid them u have to go to the very last episode and rewind all the way to the end and the episode that ur in middle and trying to rewind it but there still more again go the very last episode and rewind to end the episode should disappear.I was trying to remove a episode I didn’t want to watch but I tried rewinding it to the end and thinking that the episode was gone it showed me the next episode cuz I must’ve clicked a episode and there was probably more after it so I tried to go to the last episode in the last season of the show I was watching and rewind it the end and it was gone I was happy so this was a good method so if ur reading my comment try it it works instead of deleting ur Disney+ account and it works on any device so try it.😁
This does not work on smart tvs.. Its so frustrating.... Other unwanted hows automatically start within seconds once what youve watching has ended.. So there is a growing list of things Ill never watch filling my app.. It sucks.. There needs to be a clear cache option ..pronto. edit.. this seems to work,, but apon restart.. they are all back. It's now 2024 and there is still no easy way to delete things from the continue watching list.
TLDR :

No, you can NOT watch the entire MCU on Disney+. And we probably won't ever be able to watch the whole thing on Disney+, either.
