    A beautifully made & I imagine, very tactile bit of kit. I’m way too anal to let my van get in any kind of mess that would win this competition so I’ll bow out right at the beginning. Good luck everyone.

    We got the first SpaceMate in Germany thanks to your initial review and Simons great support. We had the luck to already get the redesigned plastic latch months ago and we absolutely love the drawer! Thanks for showing it and connecting us to Simon! 🙏🚐👨‍👩‍👦🐕

    Love the concept and this looks a quality piece of kit ... but I'm not prepared to lose the 'ski locker' space which is perfect for my rolled-up Thule rain/sun blockers!

    • @CampervanTime
      @CampervanTime  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's always a challenge trying to decide what the best trade off is. Would the Thule kit fit in the small drawer if you fitted that?

    • @SpaceMateMHL
      @SpaceMateMHL ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think the Thule kit would still fit as the tray is only 1/3 of the height of the long load space.

    @dayslikethis9788 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Couple of questions, are you still able to access tool/jack set at rear of lounge seat and secondly I’ve read this kit for the 6.1 May not allow the lounge seat to slide back as much as it should normally. Not too clear on the comment on a Cali web site but it seems the van lounge area on a 6.1 is a little larger than the 6? Grateful for a view. Great video

    • @CampervanTime
      @CampervanTime  ปีที่แล้ว

      Simon is probably best to answer this but I certainly had our tool kit out whilst this was still in place. I put the bench forward and could get my arm in behind it to undo the screws that hold it in, then went in the boot and unhooked it.

    Great video, Will !
    It’s hard to tell from the footage - is the drawer fitted over the top of a carpet ? We have a Brandrup one, which covers the rails in the rear, so am wondering how/if the drawer could fit without having to make holes in the carpet itself ?

    • @CampervanTime
      @CampervanTime  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it is fitted over a Brandrup carpet, but I'm not quite sure how, as this was Simon's van. I am sure he will be along in a second to explain !

    • @SpaceMateMHL
      @SpaceMateMHL ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Stewart, yes mines over the T6 brandup carpet, I just pulled it forward by 10mm as it shown in the video. Not required but a nice to have.

    How can I order one of these, if they are available in Europe because the website seems to only support shipping in the UK? Im living in Dublin, Ireland and would love to have one of these for my Cali. Thanks for producing another excellent video.

      It's from Halfords, a twin socket one. I've had a look on their website this morning and I can't seem to find it now but it might be worth popping in.

    Can you sit on the potty with the shelf pulled out? Will it take your weight?

    • @CampervanTime
      @CampervanTime  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ha! Erm... I haven't tried that, but it depends if your weight and that of anything on the tray is more than 100kg I think..

    • @SpaceMateMHL
      @SpaceMateMHL ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Graham and 😂😂😂 if that's how you're going to use it - I'll make an extra strong version for if you. All joking aside, I regularly load mine with over 100kg of tools but they're evenly distributed (ish) not 90kg sat on the edge on a potti 🙈

      What a great thing though. I am forever heaving up the shelf to get to stuff so would save a lot of effort. Also with it being a tray it prevents stuff falling out when you open the boot.

    Thanks for the video. I have hankered after a tray for a while and now just ordered!
    Great that the pp fits under the back shelf. I use a “Drona” IKEA box to store “stuff” it is 33cm high so think it may not fit. Any feedback on that and if not alternative suggestion. Thanks!

    Just checked the original video for this and what you mentioned on the original video was tha wasted space between the slide out drawer and the wardrobe but you haven't noticed and mentioned that the new drawer is wider and that gap is significantly less.

    • @CampervanTime
      @CampervanTime  ปีที่แล้ว

      I honestly thought I did mention it was wider, but if I didn’t I apologise. It certainly has been widened to the maximum now which is really possible.

    I'm shocked about these prices...the main drawer is all ready way overpriced, but if you charge 35 pounds for a piece of plastic or a couple of eyelets, you're just a sharper.
