They wont be any bigger in length compared to a size L, it will be wider which will most def give you an oversized look. All the shirts i have in my collection are size XL, and I am 6'2" 200 lbs.

DreiKeim it runs a little big but I reall recommend tts. The quality is a little better then Gildan, but it can definitely be shrunken in the wash/dryer if need be.

XXL should fit you fine. I got an XL in the collaboration tee and I’m around the same height but my weight is less.
