Exterior primers from Sherwin Williams

I have a question, I used to paint new baseboards trim and doorr but for aome reason any paint ending pop up or seen the tiny scratches from the previous sending... I heard that can be primer with shellac but is too much smelly or it's voc .. Will you recommend problack primer? Is like new apartment units ...
