- To date, DINAGYANG elevated its status as the most successful and sought-after Street Dancing contingent in the country.
Here's why:
1.) The aesthetics is carefully planned
2.) Dinagyang "movements" already set a trademark and it evolved defining the nuances of its dance.
3.) The lavish display of props and sets that hold significance to the theme/story were maximized effectively.
4.) Most of all - Dinagyang's SUCCESS is brought about by the immense support structure of Ilonggos as one community: its LGU, DepEd, Private sectors and the whole community. Bringing a large contingent such as Dinagyang is a fund and logistical "nightmare" that other festivals don't dare invest.
For ALIWAN dubbed as Festival of Festivals, things has to be improved a lot in terms of curating the whole event. There were major flaws I personally saw in the observance of the event. (Plenty to mention.) One major thing: the organizers should carefully screen contingents by setting an ALIWAN standard of AESTHETICS so that only the best contingents will get to perform/join. Organizers can pre-SCREEN the performance by witnessing the actual performance in each of the festival (yes, it's quite far-fetched) or make the contingent submit a video and a committee screens who get to join. SORRY but ANDAMI TALAGANG NAGKALAT na contingents sa ALIWAN. :(

This is one of the hardest thing to do.. to make 100 people or 200 people put together.. u knw wat I mean.?,, make them as one.. one moves, one pace, one style, one click, one boom... damn so good. The rhythm. ? Sheekss.. im a member of US army... wa y back before in my home town In visayas I join in my school for our tribe to compete in our municipality... and I know how hard all these people have different personality put together... it creates one great performance.. amazing effort,

And you are all worthy to be called the best! But in every competition there should be the best among the rest! Congratulations again iloilo dinagyang festival! Dinagyang is so great with all the aspects of the performance but i have to recommend that we should all BE PROUD OF ALL THE FESTIVALS in the country. Dinagyang's organization is highly commendable as far as being able to submit almost every year in Aliwan. I have to feel bad that not all festivals are not as rich as Sinulog or Dinagyang. Festivals in streetdancing do vary in sense and cultural aspect, there is no grandest festival among all because they all reflect a particular culture.

And i do hope that the time will come, that Aliwan will grow as festival that can showcase almost all the best festivals in the country. Congratulations to all festivals in the Philippines! I hope that Aliwan will flourish into something bigger and more grand to something like that of world renowned Rio's Carnival.
