That is how I’ve labeled mine since day one. One label on the back with all information. I do markets a few times a week. I don’t use the clear label, but I’ve contemplated it. I only put a couple of each soap out at markets, so they are not all exposed to the elements all the time. I’ve never shrink wrapped outside of Covid or stores that request it
Hi Jerika , I actually tried labeling about 3 dozen soaps like this, nothing between the back of the label and the soap....a few weeks later I went to get some of the soaps for a a shop and I notice like a cloudy look behind the sticker label, The labels adhesive had for whatever reason( they were just in my dining room) maybe some humidity) well when I peeled off one of the labels it was a good mess under there and had left very thin but noticeable bits of label adhesive, I had to unwrap and scrape off all of that from my bars as I didn't want a customer seeing that on a new bar of soap! So my thought is , it's a guick see-through way of labeling but maybe if the soap is stored in a super climate controlled room it wouldn't leave a glue film on the beautiful soap❤
what about using the thin plastic nylon wrap that used to cover the food .. it would cover the soap without hiding its colour since it is transparent also because it is will stick to the soap ..make sure to try it
Yup! For our direct customers we stick our labels directly on, but all white labels so that they're easier to read. The only thing I've found though, is that I can't store them with the labels on or the ink disappears where it touches the other bars. So we just label them as we pack orders.
Jerika Zimmerman I Love You Videos And I Hope To Start My Own Soap Buissness Some Day Thank You So Much For Thess Video And I Support You In Every Way Thank You!
Oh wow, I had always assumed it wouldn't stick to the soap. I've been looking for a new way to label mine, as I feel like my cigar bands have too much movement for me. I'm going to have to try this out!
Would that leave a residue on the soaps? For people that have sensative skin would the sticker/label residue cause issues? Use that star mold to make another astral/sky/moon/cosmic bundle!
I think my labels would fall off from the humidity. Jerika, be careful of copyright in the US. It's completely maddening but it's very easy to make that mistake. I started naming my bath and body products generically (strawberry for strawberry for example) because there's less of a chance of violating copyright and getting sued.
Some customers complained since they wouldnt use all the soaps for months. So it got tackier after a while and left residue on them. I too use online labels.

I really appreciate you highlighting a service like invantora,I was wondering how I was going to track my things since I’m doing my first craft fair in October and launching an Etsy shop. You continue to be a inspiration and guide to me.😊
Would you say you prefer inventora over craftybase? I found craftybase incredibly difficult to use, and it was about double the price of inventora. I haven’t tried inventora yet.
I don’t like the soap labeled that way! It looks cheap, unprofessional and if the labels get warm on the soap they will either slip or get really sticky and become harder to remove from the soap! The bags are probably ok to send to your golden bubbles , but not for professional sales! I loved the boxes you used to put the soap in before with the shrink wrap! Just giving my opinion. P.S. A lot of people are drawn to a product because of the cute or elegant wrapping it’s in! People continue to buy because of the quality and price point!
Yeah for sure! There’s so many ways to label soap! I you bring up tons of great points. There are a ton of ways to sell a product and packaging can definitely make that sale. When my business was open, my online soap product listings were just pictures of the naked bar of soap. Any packaging I did would’ve been after the product is sold. But I totally understand how packaging can sell a bar! 😊
Great vlog - and funny you are mentioning the sticker directly on the soap as I recently bought a few bars of soap and it was labeled with a sticker too 🙂 I need to try your new bath bomb recipe for my granddaughter - she LOVED the scoop from the Golden gift last month ! 🥰
It’s a great way that saves a lot of time! Glad to hear your granddaughter enjoyed the solid bubble bath! She’ll probably like the Barbie soap coming your way 😊
Looks great. However it must be hard to take those labels off as a customer, getting soap wedged under your nails. Barbie lotion looks super in those jars!
No! Glue on the soap is a terrible idea! I’m allergic to adhesives and I wouldn’t be able to use soap with label adhesives on the soap and I would never put an adhesive label directly on my soap. Just no!
Any recommendations on what type of paper to use and how to keep the stickers from getting cloudy or any glue residue on the soap? I want to try doing this, but I want to do it the right way.
@@trueseattleite6958 The glue on the label can get sticky from the water in the soap! If it’s hot when it’s mailed the label can move or curl up on the edges!
Beautiful products! You could also just put labels on the bags if you wanted. Shrink wrapping does take more time for sure. I prefer them for markets, but I’ve thought about shipping in bags as well. Everyone has their own preferences. I like shrink wrapping because it keeps the soap intact better without getting damaged as bad, keeps dust off, and I think it makes the fragrance last longer. Soap I leave out and don’t shrink loses scent faster🤷🏼♀️ But always looking for a quicker/cheaper way. Love that you show us your process and trying different things❤
I have been labelling my soaps in this way for many years. Simple straightforward, ingredient labels there, no cigar bands to shrink and fall off. Minimalist packaging which is in my wheelhouse
FDA says labels need to have certain ingredients and information on the product. Contact information as well. You can add the label on the outside of the bags. Or use a single postcard about your products.
@@JerikaZimmerman okay. I didn’t catch that on the video. Also are you still using Crafty base program with the inventory program. Basically are they running side by side?
If Barbie was a soap that soap would definitely be her! I love that labeling system! We can sell “naked” soap you don’t even need a label 😮 I bet you get can a stamp made and just stamp the bag? It’s something I want to do. I mean, if you sell a naked soap you can just print all the info on a piece of paper? Or a small card…. Idk it got my brain twirling 😆
I love naked soaps. I don’t think it’s unhygienic because soap is naturally antibacterial. I do shrink wrap (biodegradable) but I appreciate a naked soap ❤

I bought a bar from a local soapmaker who used the same method to label. Their labels were the brown paper kind of labels. I thought it was cool as I'm trying to reduce the amount of packaging I use. Also I haven't used that bar yet and the label is still ok 1 year later

Love the labels like that. However, my friend tried labels on soap at markets....the heat and humidity made the labels curl up.
Yea I wouldn’t do this method vending in person.
I don't like labeling the soaps like that
Ya it’s definitely not for everyone!
Why? Does it cause an issue with the soap or is it an aesthetic preference? Does it cause the soap to be sticky when you remove it as a customer?
