The intro starts and Sina walks to the drum kit. Intro's still playing. Sina sits down, puts her earphones in, adjusts her hair just so. And then at the perfect moment picks up her sticks and belts seven bells out of the drums and cymbals. Such style, such perfect timing in one so young!!!😄 Judging by your enthusiasm during the rest of the track and the smiles crossing your face I gather you enjoyed that. So did I. Not "almost good enough", absolutely perfect!
>in one so young Sina is almost as old as Moon was when he recorded this song. She's 23; Moon was 24. It's easy to forget how young the stars of rock's classic era really were.
There are other girl drummers on TH-cam who more often than not are half naked and spend the whole song smiling and preening at the camera. Sina doesn't do that because she doesn't need to. She just sits down at her kit, brushes her hair out of her face, picks up her sticks and creates another masterpiece. When she smiles it's not because she's showing off for the camera. It's from the sheer joy of doing what she's doing. You're the best Sina! Don't ever stop 😀👍

I first heard about you in an interview with Neil Peart of the rock group "Rush". He mentioned that we should keep our eyes out for a young and upcoming new drummer from Germany named Sina Doering. That interview was many years ago while you were still very young, and he turned out to be quite right. Sina, I think you have it in you to to become one of the best and most respected drummers of all time.

"Almost good enough" is one of the best phrases ever. It's the perfect balance of what Sir Lawrence Olivier described as the secret to success "the humility to prepare and the confidence to pull it off" When I think of Sina, her history and her upbringing and personal character that comes through on her channel as well as how she approaches classic rock music, other musicians, and her followers, all I see is class, someone trying to be her best, doing it the right way, and with the confidence that she's really good, but always humble enough to honor those who came before her and want to do them justice. Almost good enough is the attitude of someone who is almost the best. Less than three.
Yes it is. Just hit anything and Who fans will love it. The live version of this song is hilarious. Moon doesn’t even know when to come in because he’s drunk. She’s really right hand dominant.

Sina is such a beautiful human being. So unbelievably talented and yet so humble. Such a huge presence and yet so focused on others. She has her own career to promote and yet she spends so much time and energy working with, crediting and promoting other young musicians. She's not just a talented drummer. She's a musician and collaborator to the core and takes no shortcuts in advancing herself musically and professionally. Her performances are always about the song, musicality and creativity, never about showing off hand speed and overdone riffs. She never overplays anything. She loves to educate and inform people, drawing attention to the musicality of percussion rather than the surface glitz, and always sharing her passion for the instrument and music in general. Perhaps what I love most about Sina is that she is completely organic. Yes, there is a beautiful organic look about her😂, but that's not what I mean. Everything we see, both as a person and as a musician -- it's all Sina. There's nothing artificial about her. There doesn't need to be. And that sets her so far apart from most of this cyber world where beauty comes from Photoshop, makeup tutorials, autotune and manufactured personas. If only this planet was made up of 8 billion people like her.
You are a wonder, Sina! And this video is the fulfilment and zenith of the master classics you’ve done. You have a sense and sensibility and knowledge of the history of rock music. And when you feel the time is ripe you perform these absolute milestones to the perfection. You don’t often see this piece covered, probably ’cause of the snare drum part..This is the 7th heaven for me. Many Thanks Sina!😊
Wow, Sina....just Wow! Your performance was awesome; it's such a pleasure to watch and hear you play. And a big thanks to Nils and the rest of the crew! The quality of the production is top shelf!
That's honestly the best drum cover I've ever seen of this song. There's so much difficulty in there, so many tempo changes. Hat's off to you, you f*****g rock!!!
Yup. I still remember that day she arrived home, strolled down to the basement studio and tore it apart with Whitesnake. Americans of a certain age might flash back to Mr. Rogers hanging up his sweater and smoothly revealing he's really Eddy Van Halen slipping into an epic Eruption solo on his Frankenstrat.
Probably listened to Baba O’Reilly at least once a week sometimes twice since it first came out. Thousands of times? Never, ever tire of it. Seen The Who with Zac a few times. One of THE great songs of all time. Flawless production, amazing playing, singing, colour and flair. Moon’s playing is perfection. Nice work Sina!
Saw the who with Zac in Leeds 2016. Never forget Roger saying as he walked on stage " Live at Leeds eh". Sina you do justice to Keith he'll be well impressed 👏
As a 58 yo WHO fan...guitarist....new drummer.... Holy Shit!....You, my dear, are incredible......not because of your ability to reproduce another drummers performance ( which is awesome ) but the PASSION in your drumming. Thank You.
Keith Moon would be proud. I was 13 years old when this album came out. Makes me feel good to see such a young lady covering the WHO greatest rock band ever. You sound great
That was awesome you look so much more happy and relaxed playing on your boat then you did in the basement looks like you've been set free great job Sina
I already wrote it in my comment on the oops cover "Break on through" a few minutes ago. Exceptionally musical with an outstanding of tones and a brilliant technique .Here too, better than the original performance of Moon and he was really great und unconventional. This is a channel that is really great, although I mostly listen classical and jazz and I love the Genesis revisited Band from Steve Hackett ( absolutely brilliant), I am really thrilled of this channel. Than later you will be not a band legend, but a you tube drummer legend. Bravissima!
Her occasional smile absolutely sums up what that whole video, her drumming and that Who song is all about!!!! it brought me back almost 50 years to a magical time in music!!! Thanks Sina😁
Watched again today - Its Brilliant. Being a Who fanatic and loving this track for over 50 years, and seeing them play it live again this past October, I always enjoy Zak Starkey's performance to carry-on what Keith created. The one wish I have now, is since The Who is still performing this year on your side of the pond, they give you an opportunity to bring this to life for the privileged patrons that can see them and you perform some of their tracks. I'm so positive Zak would not mind a break during the show. You are brilliant Sina
I was 17 when Tommy came out, and saw the Who play it in what must have been the summer of 1970 at Saratoga Springs NY. Will never forget it. Watching this and your Tommy video brought it all back. I forgot just how incredible it was. Thanks so much. Your playing is quite amazing, and that is a gross understatement.
Awesome work. I also noticed you played traditional grip on this cover and didn’t miss a beat. That’s a talent in itself. Many drummers can only play match grip. A subtle detail but cool none the less. Your dedication to your craft is obvious and much appreciated by this fan.
Now that’s powerful drumming, drumsticks and cymbals must be tough items! Fantastic drumming, Sina:) Love the intro and outro, the turbocharged performance, too. To me, the quality of your videos have always been first-class, but with this one, yeah, I agree, Nils and yourself did indeed up the visual impact. It was very gracious of you to acknowledge Keith Moon by saying you were “almost good enough.” Many thanks for all, Sina, you’re awesome in all ways:))
It's so difficult to emulate the unhinged freakish fills and playing style that Keith Moon did naturally. Moon's playing breaks so many drumming conventions and only the very brave ever attempt to cover a Who song from the Moon era
You really looked like you had fun with this one and you played it brilliantly. A great selection and I really enjoyed hearing this song from my past. It made it to my saved list before it was done. Unlike a few years ago when I was impressed with what you played and how well you played it at such a young age, that is no longer the case because you are at an age now where the originals we're about the same age. What does impress me most is that you really seem to love this older rock and roll now when most people your age have never even heard these songs before and your versatility in which you are able to play so many different genres equally well. That's what blows my mind.
Even though many of us are not musicians we know every note of the original artists of classic rock, having these iconic tunes imbedded in us almost our entire lives. Agree - impressive that Sina doesn’t just ‘play’ an old song fr sheet music but becomes one w/it , as cheesy as that sounds… and elevates it. Her originals are evidence she’s a true artist, creating music out of thin air seemingly : like a 6th sense, expressing what she feels. Whether rock or prog. or jazz, following Sina’s journey of prioritizing continued education, different artists & experiences is never boring ! Mind-blowing to me is the work-ethic & maturity to keep counsel with wise folks about her ‘business plan’ . Staying true to herself ✌️
@Nancy Slider very well said Nancy. I couldn't add anything to that. With what you and I just posted I don't think I'll need to ever make another comment. That pretty much covers everything I can think of.

I forgot just how powerful, joyful and defiant this song and many other Who songs are. Your playing is all of that and more. Thanks for making the Moon Rise!! I miss him.
I was your age when The Who wrote this. You do it justice. And thanks for not wearing distracting skimpy clothing just to get hits. You are a real drummer, girl !

Yep ..when I see girls guitar channels (being a guitar player .) when the thumbnail is her in skimpy gear I don’t bother watching ..I want to see and hear what she can play not what she looks like half dressed ..
Hi Z Mac! Disappointment must I cause to you. Why? This seems true, (what you say) but even you didn't see Sina's videos, "Behind the scenes". (not even one) Or what is made for inner circles (members) by Sina. In these she very cheerful, kind, cute, and laughs a lot.
I love how she casually walks up to her drums, sits down, put in her ear plugs. fixes her hair, gets settled in the seat and pic up her sticks at just the right moment to start rocking us. Just great.
You have a musical gift that projects through your soul. Keep up the amazing feel and energy of your playing. I see your real enjoyment at your craft. I’ve been a musician for 55 years, not as a drummer; but it’s obvious you can ride the beat with amazing timing and powerful accents. The kick drum is so spot on and pace and rhythm just so natural.
who else could do moon justice using traditional grip rather than matched grip. this prodigy is so good she makes things harder then shows complete mastery by making it look easy. Sina truly understands what she is playing to a degree that is unusual in the young. i also like her lack of flashy clothes and make up she is correct her natural looks are exquisite, but she just concentrates on showcasing her immense talent and looks fantastic anyway. we are blessed to have the oportunity to watch her. obviously even though she could cruise through all this she chooses to thoroughly research musicI'm repeatedly impressed by her who else understands what digital editing has done to suck the humanity out of modern music. very wise for her age at 70 and having been lucky enough to always had musician friends I have grown up seeing people play music, live both one at a time and in bands. I claim this makes me better able to see just how exceptional Sina is. Thank you Sina from the bottom of my heart for working so hard and proving real music lives and is healthy. I love what you do and how you do it. she deserves the best in life for giving so much pleasure to millions
Roy I was going to say that myself. She gets more using a traditional grip than many other drummers using a matched grip. This young woman is amazing and boy is she growing up fast.
matched grip both hands have rthe drumstick approximately in line with the forearm, traditional dominant other handat right angles drumstick across the palm to give finer control for more subtlecontrol@@kenl5034

Wow!!! I see some changes, good changes beginning with new tennis shoes and the set of the "floating studio". Really LOVE it As usual, a great and beautiful performance, wasn't expecting less!!!! You are simply awesome 😀🤩
After watching you for years now, the Camera work showing your face at different angels made me see something I didn't notice before. It seems you actually BREATHE in the song deep inside and then it comes out in your emotions which are then transferred to drums. I am in awe. I really see that the saying music has to come from inside you is true. Incredible cover of a classic. This may not be popular to say, but I believe you should be a Music Teacher. I believe you can bring out the talent that so many younger people have and are not using it. Your passion is lovely.
Sina could probably be a teacher; 30 or 40 years from now. What she has done and continues to do is promote young talent from all over the world. Her collaborators have received record deals and gained presence on TH-cam and other platforms. Sina has some difficult decisions to make. She is the second most viewed drummer ever on TH-cam and should pass #1 in a year and a half. It would have happened already if she had not cut back to bi-weekly videos. I don't think numbers are very important to her. She stays with TH-cam because she loves her fans. What does the future hold? Sina could probably play in any of the great Rock groups of the past; but the key word is "past". She is already bigger than most of the new groups. So my guess is that she will remain in music production and still do some youTube.
Whoah! Where did you go girl!!’ You mad this all your own… not only is your playing superb, but also your presence!! You are always moving as you are playing, and that’s just wonderful! … and wonderful smile !
Sina is always great. When I listen to this music I can understand what an incredible time to be alive was the belle epoque of the 60 70 and 80's, the ones that called this "nostalgia" are only showing their ignorance ....this is called AWERENESS!

And that sets her so far apart from most of this cyber world where beauty comes from Photoshop, makeup tutorials, autotune and manufactured personas.
If only this planet was made up of 8 billion people like her.
👋👍 bravo una grande signora sina 💓
Baba O’Riley is a timeless song. Listening to Sina after a few years, looking more grown up and sounding even better
Likewise. It's been a while since she showed up on my feed and I like the growth in her nature.
I love how you so casually walk up, sit down, arrange your earpieces, toss your hair back, and then ROCK!!!
I think it's so cool the way you toss your hair back and rock out. You are so cool 😎
Yep it has been a treasure to watch this young lady mature.
Predator detected😶😂😎
😍
And she just loves playing anything from Keith Moon
@@stephenbrown4211 and we love hearing anything she plays from Keith Moon!
I think we love hearing anything she plays!
So well done!
@@opahogie and Ian Paice. I love it when she plays Ian Paice!
Sina, you are a time machine. You bring something so powerful, brilliant and beautiful from the past to us today, thank you.
That would be awesome!!!!!
I've been watching her for about 6yrs and she amazes me every time. Absolutely love her drumming.
Sina,. I have kept up with you since 2016 and I am honored to see your growth as you are a professional drummer.
Thank You Sina.
Awesome work. I also noticed you played traditional grip on this cover and didn’t miss a beat. That’s a talent in itself. Many drummers can only play match grip. A subtle detail but cool none the less. Your dedication to your craft is obvious and much appreciated by this fan.
You are missed Keith Moon! (RIP) Once again, my favorite German drummer does a fantastic cover!
It's not just the talent that is beautiful to watch, it's the enthusiasm. She puts her heart and soul into it!
It's so difficult to emulate the unhinged freakish fills and playing style that Keith Moon did naturally. Moon's playing breaks so many drumming conventions and only the very brave ever attempt to cover a Who song from the Moon era
Keith certainly was the epitome of unconventionalism. What a character! My mentor…..
"I could play drums before I had a drum kit. I was a mental drummer" - Keith Moon.
💣 The Moon Era 💣
Not to mention that he was drunk most of the time.
Well evidently it isn't that tough.
Thank you so much for covering this song. It is one of my favorites. You are an incredibly talented young lady and I wish you all the best.
@@rickkucharski3211 yes sir- we can just tell Sina to reference our thoughts here lol! I always look forward to what you share… have a nice weekend 🌴
@Nancy Slider and you too my friend. We're going into a deep freeze up north, -13 Sat night -17 Sun night.
@@rickkucharski3211 That’s ridiculous!! I’m leaving shortly to spread hubby’s ashes in the ocean and it’s going to be a brisk 60-65*…. Our Saturday could not be any more different lol !! Stay safe …. 🌞☀️🔥
Oh yes the new studio and equipment are definitely working, love the lighting and all the different camera angles. Video quality and sound is amazing! And a good bit of pleasant nostalgia having my favourite drummer doing an incredible solo performance! Love it Sina, you have yourself a wonderful week!!!💕💕💕
Yes, its totally unnecessary the way some of them dress - like little hookers. Nauseating. I don't know why their fathers don't say anything???
Word... 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
@@BlackMambo Hear, hear - so sick of these young women /girls trying to look as sexy as anything, wearing skimpy clothing just to get more subscribers - (basically prostituting themselves)
Yep ..when I see girls guitar channels (being a guitar player .) when the thumbnail is her in skimpy gear I don’t bother watching ..I want to see and hear what she can play not what she looks like half dressed ..
Sina always looks so chill and calm when she speaks to the camera. I just now realized why. She takes out all life's frustrations on her drums!!! 😜
Hi Z Mac! Disappointment must I cause to you. Why?
This seems true, (what you say) but even you didn't see Sina's videos, "Behind the scenes". (not even one)
Or what is made for inner circles (members) by Sina. In these she very cheerful, kind, cute, and laughs a lot.
Indeed!
Maybe ?
I love watching your videos, the different views , angles of view. You make it look so easy just amazing ♥️
I was fortunate enough to see The Who three times from 1980 to 2002. Thank you Sina for the awesome tribute to Keith Moon!
Excellent comment.
I love how she casually walks up to her drums, sits down, put in her ear plugs. fixes her hair, gets settled in the seat and pic up her sticks at just the right moment to start rocking us. Just great.
Your pretty RIGHT! MARVELOUS!! T..
Yeah a real pro 👌👌👌
Not only does she nail it, but when I saw Traditional grip, I was GOBSMACKED.
Please explain the different grips for us non-drummers out here.
matched grip both sticks along the palm in line with the forearm. traditional one stick is held across the palms@@kenl5034
matched grip both hands have rthe drumstick approximately in line with the forearm, traditional dominant other handat right angles drumstick across the palm to give finer control for more subtlecontrol@@kenl5034
I love how you hit the kick drum so hard, your butt comes off the stool! It's like a trademark!
You are a good drummer and musican , self I play Keyboard, I groove up with that group "The Who" i recently lissen to the melody "Who are You" and other groups my favorite are The Ventures and Shadows especially the Guitarist Noki Edward very skilled.
Absolutely perfect. Keith Moon is definitely smiling down on you. Sina, you truly are one hell of a drummer
Narh he's dead. grow up.
Yes, Keith moon whenever baba O'Reilly is played arises and judges for a moment and gives his nay or yay.
And I will 23rd that sentiment !@! XXIII
@john house lol...but the sentiment is valid. You are your own
" god ". the end.
You can tell a true musician by their last statement saying 'almost good enough' when you just watched and seen it was beyond good enough... But I hear you Sina... Always striving for musical perfection... Godspeed...
I'm 60years old I play drums and I am totally impressed by this amazing young lady I can see the pleasure of music in her face as she plays it made me feel good keep it up young lady and God bless you
YES!!! The WHO! that blew me away. one of the greatest rock bands in the world. Sina, you nailed it!! Classic rock is where i live, and watching you is pure joy!!
So refreshing to see gen z kids appreciating actual music still! I'm a "retired" 55 year old drummer and seeing this really makes me miss playing. Great job young lady! One of the best songs ever recorded.
People who think Moon did little more than smash the hell out of his kit are way off. I doubt it's easy to play the drum parts of Who songs.
Powerful and expressive performance and drumming, Sina that's incredible greatful art.
They don't make music like this any more. It's great to see a new generation discover great rock music. Thank you for keeping it alive, Sina.
Probably my favorite Who song! Excellent job, Sina, even though you just thought it was passable. I think it seems you're getting the video figured out, very good video quality! Great video!
An accomplished teenage drummer steps into the ring & dukes it out for 5' with an icon & gave it the life & power it had 50 years earlier. You moved me.
She's 23, but I hear you. She traveled to the UK in 2017, age 18, to film a documentary about drummers, describing how she emulated Keith Moon on "Pinball Wizard".

The only thing missing is thrashing the kit at the end of the song. Outstanding cover and a joy to watch. pure talent
One of the finest sounding drum kits I've ever heard. A total, complete well tuned world class instrument. And the cymbals decay perfectly. Bravo~!
Your recordings are so good, they absolutely deserve to be available in full dynamic range, plus your tremendous video performances should be made available for ALL TIME.. not just on TH-cam, which can vanish in the blink of an eye ❤❤❤.
Kiddo i'm 60 now but when I was young man I was one of the best high school drummers in NY, I did some studio work and did the band thing, I know drums and you are excellent, I like your lite touch and snappy rudiments, stick with it you will be somebody in the music world💖💖
Been subscribed for 9 years now, and can really see a big difference in Sina's playing. She has always been a great drummer but, her confidence really shows now.
Sina, you and Moonie are two of my favorite drummers ever. This was a great looking video with you really having a lot of fun. Excellent!
This was a perfect performance in every way, godness mine 😂
Never saw Sina so happy during play, so beautiful, like a supermodel , shining like an Angel , blessed with drum skills 10 times around the world and back!
This Who Song was for me a surprise....like it like 🔥
That's what I'm talkin' bout!! Some real broadcast quality 4K video there. Nice Keith Moon flow also. What a team, you and Nils make! 🧡
100% Gold! Sina is of my all-time favorite musicians!
You are extremely talented and a true gift to the music world by keeping some of the best drum tracks ever written alive and thriving! I’ve known a few drummers over my 60 years in many different musical settings and you outclass them all ! Keep doing what you do and the world will be a better place! Warmest regards from Toronto Canada ! 🇨🇦
Definitely a step up again in the overall production, Sins and Nils. A great video and brilliant drumming.
Well done Sina. You put some extra into this classic Keith Moon -Who song. It shows....Thanks Sina
As a complete WHO follower for my entire life, as I am 70 years old, you young lady played this song to PERFECTION. Keep up the great work and May God bless you in all of your future endeavors. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
PEACE.
Wow!!! I see some changes, good changes beginning with new tennis shoes and the set of the "floating studio". Really LOVE it
As usual, a great and beautiful performance, wasn't expecting less!!!!
@@gregbr100 30 or 40 years???? She is 23 now. Sorry I disagree. So we part

Tremendous, “ Who’s Next “ One of the Greatest Classic Rock Albums of All-Time. Keith Moon is smiling Down from Rythm Heaven 💕✝
THE greatest!
Oh my gosh. This just made my day as im sure you may remember my love for The Who. Brilliance Sina, absolute brilliance.
Whoah! Where did you go girl!!’ You mad this all your own… not only is your playing superb, but also your presence!! You are always moving as you are playing, and that’s just wonderful! … and wonderful smile !
Finally a young person who believes in playing real music with real instruments, you rock Sina and are an inspiration to other young musicians
Sina is always great. When I listen to this music I can understand what an incredible time to be alive was the belle epoque of the 60 70 and 80's, the ones that called this "nostalgia" are only showing their ignorance ....this is called AWERENESS!
After cranking a few Who songs I have one for you " Love Rain O'er Me" drum that up and see what a total drumming nut Keith Moon was God Bless him and what a thought process to deliver such drumming. ....Sina, You can do it !
Another excellent performance, Sina. Keith was one of the most explosive and unpredictable drummers around which helped give the Who their unique sound. You really attacked this song with the power and dynamics it needed. Well done.
Spot On is what I'd call it! Thanks, Sina! It's been a while since I've heard that song. Hair flying, seat jumping, rock and roll! 🤘♥
So good to see Sina channelling her inner Moon. You can see the enjoyment and love of the music. Thank you Sina wishing you all the best.
I bought this album the day it came out and have listened to it thousands of time . Sina that was bloody awesome 👌
I love how Sina casually gets ready, and then crushes it on the drums. Just another walk in the park.
...never gets old watching this talented drummer - she's amazing...
I gotta praise , beside your great drums, the beautifull photo in the video "thumbs"
Your drum talent has skyrocketed to unprecedented levels in this incredible drum cover.
I just love it to see someone this young on the drums. You are the best in my opinion.
