This coverage is now very important because of the destruction in Nov. 8, 2013 by Supertyphoon Yolanda (Haiyan). I will forward this to the DOT for attention and faster tourism development. AURAPHIL thanks for sharing. God bless!!
I been there once and even to Homonhon Island. It's true...historical place; the old Catholic church, the biggest air field by the G.I. of U.S.Air force, the Japanese Monument of their fallen comrade, and the mountain of catseye shell cap in the pier near the market...Guiananon are wonderful people. In Alingarog (barangay) you can see the century old Chinese cemetery, so sad the it was looted by the locals the historical artifacts are lost, The Pearl Island...and much more. You can also experience the Manicani Island, it's sand was quarried by the SMC for making bottles so the island sinks and vanished during high tide. People working for people are the Guiananon...really very nice people, from public officials to the simple cab driver. I love Guian and Guiananons.
