I get exactly what you mean! living in separate cities sucks! I confirmed my place last year at uni in Glasgow and then found out my boyfriend was going to Plymouth...so getting a 13 hour coach on saturday to go see him so at least you aren't hours and hours away from Tom!! xxx
For your uni project, theres a few documentaries on BBC , one called freshers in our own words and another freshers sex and suspicious parents 😊

I'm not sure what it was called but there was definitively a documentary on BBC 3 about freshers and it followed 4 first year uni students moving to uni and their first night or week there x
if the book's allowed to be fiction then i'd suggest Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell! I related a lot to the main character and her experience of uni which really helped me to settle in
You should do a full face of different make up and makeup looks everyday for a week for a video
Maybe put 2 sets of the small set of the Alex draws on your desk !x

there's a book called freshers by tom ellen and lucy ivison (which i highly recommend as a good read anyway) that is such an accurate portrayal of what uni life is really like!

I was exactly like you with my makeup! I watched shaaanxo’s declutters and it just inspired me to declutter and now I have gotten rid of so much makeup! It’s so refreshing. Just keep what you use and a few keepsake pieces like that ysl lipstick and get rid of the rest as if you haven’t used the products in the last year, you’ll probably never use it. I would love to see a makeup declutter! Xx

If you are looking for references for your project I would recommend going to a university library, not one which for example is in a city center. These books will be focused more on academia and studies than more domestic books. I imagine these will be a tad more helpful than you found in the library!
Love watching your vlogs!! They really prep me for my week at uni and I definitely feel wanting to be more adventurous with makeup. I have a fair amount of makeup but I almost never wear it unless it's a special occasion like a night out or something fancy, so I definitely want to start wearing a bit more this semester.
Love watching your vlogs as I feel I relate to you so much! We moved to uni at the same time and I had similar feelings about moving. Also we both got puppies at the same time! so watching Lottie be poorly is relating to me watching our puppy Rosie as they both been spayed xx

Hi, so I'm not sure if this would be too abstract because it isn't specifically a uni-related book but The Secret is pretty much all about this theory that if you're expecting to have a bad experience then you will inevitably have a bad experience? I know it might be a bit far-fetched to apply that to a person's entire university experience, but it was just a thought! (P.S: You're such an inspiration to me!)

I feel you with the Tom situation, me and my long term boyfriend used to see each other multiple times a week and now we only see each other once a month ish and it’s so difficult! I’m looking forward to summer so we can finally see each other a lot again🙌🏻

Riverdale is actually the story of a comic, so most of the story has been pre-written anyways. But i agree, I watch it for the sake of watching it now! The story has taken a weird turn, but i find it interesting! aha x
For your uni project you could look at Fresh meat, tv show from a few years ago which is about a group of students and their drinking and drug taking, it’s fiction but it really painted a weird picture of uni to me when I was younger

If fiction is allowed for your project then Starter for Ten by David Nicholls (a book but there's also a film adaptation) deals with being a working class person going to quite a posh Uni

Clique is a great show about uni life... however not very realistic haha (anyone who's seen it will know what I mean) also there was a documentary on BBC called Death on Campus about student suicides, really sad but worth a watch if you're looking for something re: Uni life and how sometimes it's not all it cracked up to be.
