Totally agree that people need to start to live within their means instead of living on credit. If you can not fit it into your budget look at is it essential if not put it on a wish list you will probably find in a couple of weeks you don’t even want it. If it is a need work out a way to save up for it. In my book debt is the route of stress and depression. Dragging you further and further down. Living below your means and saving every month is your route to freedom and peace of mind.

Robin, thank you so much for this video; it was providential that I found this this evening. I had just finished my weekly “financial check”, and was feeling discouraged by our situation. We are mostly on track but it is difficult to make wise decisions when it comes to spending our money. So I said a little prayer, asking for wisdom in my decision-making, and then sat down to relax with some TH-cam. I found this video of yours which I had never watched (which is odd because I watch ALL of your videos 😊). What an encouragement this has been to me, especially this months and especially what you shared at the end. God is certainly using you and I want to thank you for your courage and faith. You are encouraging many women, I am sure of it. And so, I will face tomorrow being content with my instant pot soup lunch (inspired by you!), my 10 item wardrobe (also inspired by you!), and by focusing on our family Christmas traditions rather than material things (again...inspired by you) - and know that we all rest in God’s loving care. Take care!

Wow....this word is an answer to my prayer, entering 2020, I have decided to make wise decisions regarding our finances. I always thought it is my husband's duty to take care of the finances although I carry the cards😊, Robin ,thank you for shedding new light on Proverbs 31. God bless you and your beautiful family. Maybe more of these encouraging videos? xxx

I have been following you for a while now but still have some of your older videos to catch up on. I’m so grateful I found this one today, it’s just what I needed to hear. I have always been challenged by tracking our expenses consistently and tend to overspend in the same categories like groceries and online purchases. I appreciate your gentle nudge to bless my family with sharpening these skills. You have a lovely way of speaking truth with so much grace. I’d love to hear more about the books you’ve found encouraging in this area. Thank you for sharing and creating lovely inspirational videos. 💗

Can you go over an example of a monthly/week meal plan? Do you plan by the month or week? Is it sale dependent? Thank-you, your voice is just so calming.. Helps me to think, pray, etc.

Hi Robin, I recently "discovered" you by way of Kay Harms, and am slowly getting to your older videos. Great tips and advice. I am a big fan of Dave Ramsey. We went through Financial Peace University and it's been so helpful. After some tweaking, I found that a two week budget works best for us. It's so exciting to find that you're not as "poor" as you've convinced yourself you are, when you take the time to make the budget BEFORE the money is spent! Have a blessed day, Debby

I agree with all of your 10 helpful hints regarding money. I have always budgeted. Never thought we would see the day to retirement, but we have always put away in our Thrift plans and it has paid off. But the big help with retirement, is downsizing with "stuff" and letting go of "wants". We have been able to reduce our expenses by not buying so much stuff and living "below" our means. thanks for the advice. The bible verses are a true testimony to what we should be doing to help ourselves.

HI Robin. I just found your videos and have been binge watching and enjoying your 10 item wardrobe videos since I live in the south and deal with similar temps.
This money video really has good advice. I'm a firm believer in Dave Ramsey's plan and have been able to pay off our home. I'm currently reading his book called The Legacy Journey which is Bible based and helps to explain the next steps after becoming totally debt free. Thought I'd mention it to you in case you haven't come across this book yet. Thanks for all of your videos!

I really enjoyed this video. I totally agree with all you said, especially on credit cards. Paying in full is the very best way. Having a card that has cash back is wonderful and will either pay your bill for you or give you extra money to put toward something you may really need. Love all your Videos!

I agree with everything you suggested. It’s good idea to own house or car but the most important is to choose house or car you really afford. I see so many people who bought house just because they want big, beautiful house but they forgot that economy can rapidly change and you can’t afford it. Be reasonable...
