Lol. I'm not sure how wise buying the doll was but here two weeks later I'm still glad I bought the doll. ♥️ I hope we can figure something out for the jukebox but it doesn't look good. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
@@MelindaMurphy, think about how pianos, baby grands, are moved and installed in 2nd floor rooms…. Yes, it can be done, if there’s a will, there’s a way. It won’t be cheap or easy but if it means that much to you both…..
@Melinda Murphy Make sure the mechanism is bolted down. Stand it up on one end and put it on a refrigerator dolly to transport it up the stairs. That is the exact way we moved a spinet player piano.
Hi Melinda, I would rather regret bringing the jukebox than regret not bringing it. I've learned over the years that there is a solution to every problem. Store it for a while and the solution will come. Look forward to the room tour. Best of luck with the move!
This will sound too "obvious", but as a guy who gets asked to help move a lot of stuff, just keep all your options open when it comes to moving the jukebox. Will it fit if it's turned up on its end - especially when you make that turn on the stairs. You should share a picture of the stairs. Can railing be disassembled, etc.? Anyway, where there's a will..... Good luck. I'd help if I could!
The jukebox can be showcased in one of your downstairs rooms as the ultimate test when meeting brand new friends. If they like it, you can take them up to see your music room!
Isn’t moving a joy?! 😂 I moved across the country recently, so I feel your pain. All I can tell you is - power through it and hang in there! Think of it as an adventure. Change is a good thing. Sorry about the jukebox. I hope you find it a great home. I’ve seen some videos of Stevie from this tour and I’m sorry I wasn’t able to go when she was here in my city. So glad you got to see her and got some great memorabilia. That T-shirt is really nice and that Barbie! Jealous! (I got the Bowie Barbie and I love it.) Here’s wishing you the best with everything. Look forward to seeing the transition to your new home!
Thank you for the encouragement. You have been in our shoes. It's a lot of stress and work but we are excited about the adventure. 🤗♥️ Stevie was even better than I thought she would be. Thank you and take care.
Congratulations Melinda!!!! Nothing more important than being close to family. Florida is beautiful! The new music room sounds wonderful!!! I’m sure you’ll love it when done. Too bad about the jukebox. I’m excited for you on the move!!!
Overall, I'm very excited about the move. The jukebox is a huge bummer but I am so excited to have my own designated music room. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
I'm so glad I was able to finally see Stevie. She still sounds great. ♥️ She's an amazing performer with a kind heart. Thank you for the kind words. Take care.
I know, buy a beautiful screen to put in front of the juke box when you have company over. Or in a closet of the office? Open the double doors and voila! Close the doors and no one is the wiser.
.. hope the move is all you would hope it would be .. your videos are just a joy .. wishing you all you would wish for yourself and your family .. looking forward to seeing the new music room
Thank you so much. 🤗♥️ I miss making videos. I have been at the new house making decisions for renovations so I have been away from my records and stereo equipment. I can't wait to set up my music room and go back to my normal life. I hope to be back soon. Take care. ♥️🤗
There has got to be a place for that jukebox even if it can't go upstairs. It would be cool for when you have guests over. Im sure they would love it and it would be a great conversation piece. Afterall, it sounds like you and your husband put a lot of work into it. Good luck Melinda on your move! Can't wait to see the new music room 😍
Congrats on the new home in FL. I'm in OH but have family down there and visited on and off over the years! Plus if you're close to the coast that's the best! Beach life 😃 Storms can be scary but they are pros down there and know what they're doing. I'm hopeful you guys will all be just fine! Sad to hear about the jbox not being able to come too 😢
Thank you for the encouragement. 😀 I am bummed that the jukebox is probably going to have to go but I am gaining a music room and beach. 🌞🌴 Have a great week.
Thanks Malinda for the video. I've always enjoyed Motown music. I think that they put out some of the best pop music in the 1960's. Hopefully you can figure out a way to move your jukebox to your new home. Best wishes on your move to Florida!
Oh I so hope you can keep your jukebox. It is so 😎. The Whitney album is one of my favorites from the 80's. Such a tragic loss of a beautiful talented singer. So enjoy your videos. I so wished I could have ran into vinyl shopping in Bowling Green. May God keep you safe in your travels and I pray that your new home will be blessed and safe. God bless you Melinda...
Thank you so much for the kind words. ♥️ The Whitney album is a wonderful classic from the 80's. What happened to her is so tragic. I would have loved to have run into you in Bowling Green. I will miss BG very much. ♥️ Take care and God bless.
Moving is sad and exciting at the same time. I moved from New England to Florida and it was a major step but it was the right decision. You can always put the jukebox some place else in the house like a furniture piece for family gatherings and guests to enjoy. Just my two cents. Love Stevie Nicks! One of my favorite female artists of all time! So glad you got to see Stevie Nicks. Cannot wait to see your new music room. I hope you will enjoy Florida as much as I do. So many awesome local record shops to visit. Happy Moving!
Thank you for the encouraging words. I'm sure that we will be happy in Florida but it will be a transition. I will definitely consider all options regarding the jukebox. Take care. 🤗♥️
Great video Melinda. I hope your move goes well and not too stressful for you. I love the idea of a music room where you will enjoy storing and playing your awesome record collection. You will love it I'm sure. So sorry to hear about the jukebox issue though. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that maybe you can find some way of getting it up into the music room and keep hold of it. If it was me I would actually put it in the living room downstairs, it would look so cool and will be the conversation piece of the room during family get togethers/parties. I would say take it with you anyway and see what you can do with it when you move, I think I'd rather regret bringing it than regret not bringing it if that makes sense. Good luck with the move Melinda, and please be careful with carrying boxes of vinyl. I know from experience they can be heavy. Take care. ❤
wow Melinda, I love those videos, you open up your life so that I really get to know you personally as a good music friend 😎 So sorry about that JukeBox, maybe there are other solutions? using a crane? getting it in through a window? Having a specialist dismantle a window so you will have a big enough opening? is there no veranda door or something in the 2nd floor? I really hope this would work out Melinda 🤠
Hey Melinda, I’ll say from experience. You will regret not bringing your jukebox. If it means that much to you. You’ll find a place for it on your new home. Jukeboxes make great conversation pieces. I own one myself and it’s in my office. My coworkers are jealous that I have the coolest office! Keep your jukebox. You and Phillip put a lot of work into it. Hugs my friend.
I'm from Lexington Kentucky and My Daughter and just moved to Augusta Georgia and we are slowly adjusting. We hope You enjoy your new home and God Speed. Bless You Guys!!!!
We just cleaned out our daughter's old apartment yesterday. I can't even imagine how emotional it would have been if we weren't moving close to her. It's very tough and I feel for you. I hope you get to see your daughter often and I hope she loves Georgia. Thank you and take care. 🤗♥️
Hi, Melinda. I’m a Florida native and live 10 minutes from where I was born. Just an hour nw of Disney World. I have been here most of my 68 years. I wish you and your husband and daughter all the best. I hope your move is a positive one. As for the jukebox, remember, where there is a will there is a way! Love your vids. Good luck and take care ☀️
Thank you for the kind words. We are waiting on some renovations before we can start the move. I think this is going to be an awesome adventure and a great place to live. Thank you and take care. 🤗♥️
@@MelindaMurphy If I may make a suggestion for a future video, there are a lot of great bands and artists from Florida, such as, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Allman Brothers, KC and the Sunshine Band, Ray Charles, Jim Morrison, Gloria Estefan, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, etc. Any albums you may own? Just putting a bug in your ear, lol. Take care 😎🍻
I couldn't believe the Stevie doll was available at the concert venue. It's so cute! I almost talked myself out of buying it but in the end I just couldn't resist. Thank you and take care. 🤗♥️
Jukebox would fit through an enlarged second story window with a cherry picker or sky crane , like lifting commercial AC unit to a roof . Expensive , impractical & possible .
Welcome to Florida. We're glad to have you here! ❤ BTW - Keep the jukebox. It can go anywhere in the house. Take it apart and move it upstairs in pieces if you have to.
I would really love to keep it. My husband is concerned that once it is taken apart, it will be hard to put it back together in good working order. He spent so much time on it last time and I think he doesn't want to do that all over again.😀 We'll see what happens. Thank you for the wonderful welcome. I think I will love it here once I have my furniture and comforts from home. Take care. ❤️🤗
That B.B. King record looks really good! You should try to find a space for the jukebox on the first floor. You said your stereo will be upstairs in the music room so you will need some music on the first floor! You can find a spot! Great video and take care!
Thank you for taking the time to post this video! Being in the process of moving, and assisting your daughter in her move, I can’t imagine there being a lot of free time. Moving is the worst job on earth in my opinion. I wish you well with it, and hope everything arrives at the new destination undamaged. Regarding your juke box, don’t give up hope! Where there is a will, there is a way! If it means disassembling the stair railings, to make the bend, go for it! Contact a professional piano moving service and see if they can get the juke box upstairs. Have it lifted outside and brought in through the window! I myself would be grasping at any possible solution, before I’d give up that juke box! I really feel your pain! 🥲. Again, best of luck with your move! If they can put an astronaut on the moon, they can put that juke box in your music room! 🙏
That would be a great idea. Our staircase has an actual wall instead of a railing so that won't work. I need to make video footage so that you can see what I'm talking about. I do appreciate the suggestion. I wish we could do that. Thank you and take care. 😀♥️
That is the coolest shirt I have seen on you yet! As for the jukebox, my humble recommendation would be to try and put it as close to your entertainment/party/dinner area as you can, because it would not only provide you with the ability to play music nonstop (I assume) but it would provide your guests with a pretty cool visual experience as well. And I'm not the only one living here that would warn you about our insurance rates which are driving many people here to flee the state. Still, I would love to have you as a neighbor.....that is, until I'm made homeless myself. Great video, thanks for the distraction!
I would love to find a new spot for the jukebox. My husband and I would have to agree on a location which might be difficult. Thank you and take care. 🤗♥️
I would have a hard time letting loose of a jukebox if I had one, so I feel your pain. I also want to echo your comment on Stevie Nicks, as I got to see her a few nights earlier in St Louis on May 7. The story telling and Leather and Lace with her vocal coach duetting with her made it a special show. I also had never seen her so it was on my bucket list. Good luck with the move, Phil
Yes, Stevie was great and enjoyed hearing her and her vocal coach singing Leather and Lace as well. ♥️ I hope we can figure out something for the jukebox. If not, I hope we find a good home for it. Thank you and take care.
Sorry to hear about the jukebox. I know this sounds made up, but when you announced your move a couple of weeks ago, that jukebox was one of the first things I thought of because I was thinking what a pain it would be to have to move that thing 😳. That BB King album looks very cool! I was lucky enough to see him a couple of times. Stevie! I love her. Been a big fan for years. I never got to see Fleetwood Mac either but I have seen Stevie three times. So glad you were able to see her despite the chaos in your life at the moment. I still cherish the live album you sent me. Congratulations on finding a new house so quickly! Awesome news. I wish you and Phillip all the best in your move and hopefully it goes reasonably smooth 😁
The jukebox is a heavy beast. I don't think it can be moved to the upstairs so unless we are able to place it downstairs somewhere, it will have to go. 😪 Stevie was wonderful. I'm so glad we got to see her. I have always wanted to see her in concert and it doesn't look like Fleetwood Mac will tour again so that makes seeing her even sweeter. In the way I wish our favorite movie couples would stay together, I wish her and Lindsey would get back together. ♥️ Thank you for the kind words. I will be glad when this move is over with. Thank you and take care.
Hi Melinda, Thanks for the video once again. I guess the big day is closer than ever. Any move can be such a big upheaval to your life. I hope you can come up with a solution for relocating the jukebox. Would be very sad to leave it. I know a new move is a new start but it’s still nice to be able to retain something’s from your previous life, especially something that is full of memories. Take care, I’m off to a Vinyl fair this Saturday. Regards Dave.
I hope you enjoy the Vinyl Fair. That sounds like a lot of fun. 🤗♥️ This is a life consuming event but we are excited for the adventure of living somewhere new. I will be glad when it's over. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
The Jukebox is a dream... but more is the love for the family... is true, is difficult to choose, but the music room is the best choice. Congrats for your daugther.
I love the jukebox but even if I can't keep it, I am gaining a music room and I will be close to our daughter. ❤️ There's so much to look forward to. Thank you and take care. 🤗❤️
Moving to Florida huh? I have lived here about 50 years. Thinking about moving out of Florida. The hurricanes suck really bad. Almost every house in Florida gets flooded at least 6" of water in the house every 5 years or so. Also the home insurance rates double EVERY YEAR. Just 4 years ago we were paying $1,000 for our Home's Wind Policy per year. In 2021 it went to $2,100, in 2022 it went to $4,000 and in 2023 it went to $7,500. I expect it to be $15,000 or more next year. Impossible to live here anymore. And we have NEVER filed an insurance claim and live inland, in Central Florida away from the beaches. Might want to think twice about this move.
Some Vocalist Still Have It~And Sadly Some Don't...I Didn't Know Stevie Nicks Was 76~But I Don't Doubt Her Singing Abilities...Jon Anderson Of YES In 2024 Still Sounds As Good As He Did In 1974...And He's Unbelievably 79...
You guys got this, Melinda! Think of how good it’s gonna feel when it’s finished….Not the juke, but you are getting a designated listening room. Best of luck and strength to all you guys. 😊🔊🎶🎶🎶💜
Melinda, how’d you end up shipping your records? U-Haul boxes? Are there any records or pieces of gear you love or you’re attached to going in your car?
We have hauled half of my records ourselves and plan to personally move the rest along with the stereo equipment. I didn't open the boxes that we have already moved so I hope they didn't get damaged in the move. 😀
It’s fun to relive the nightmare through you lol. I did leave our largest bedroom to us as I did not want to get divorced but I definitely get a bigger room that already does not seem big enough lol. Best of luck with the move.
I wish we were as far along as you are now but I guess in a couple of years, you will be buying a house and doing this once again. At least you will be moving in the same city. This stinks. Lol.
Hi Melinda, will keep my fingers crossed for you and your jukebox. Can’t wait to see your music room. The records you shared were fabulous. Just saw Diana Ross on tour and she is still great. May need to check out that The Supremes sing Sam Cooke. Amazing. Thanks for sharing and wishing you the best on your move.
@@MelindaMurphy Hi Melinda, just a thought, do you have any second story windows or doors the jukebox may fit through? You could maybe rent a lift like they use to put tiles on a roof. Know you and your husband will think of something. Good luck!
My husband is very concerned about taking apart such an old and temperamental machine but we may have to take that chance if I want to keep it. It's a risk. We will have to decide. I just don't want it be broken beyond repair. Thank you and take care. 🤗♥️
Afternoon Melinda. So chuffed everything has dove tailed for you regarding buying and selling your home. Moving is so stressful so to find somewhere and fall for it, then to sell yours so quickly without the upset of loads of strangers walking through your home is great news. Whatever you do, don't get rid of the jukebox. Keep it in the garage for a while if you have to. It means too much to let go right now. Take time to settle in your new home then make big decisions about stuff but right now, could be a mistake that you regret. Like the Stevie doll, regret buying rather than not..... regret holding onto your jukebox for few months rather than letting it go now. Sorry this is like an essay, i do waffle on. Anyway, im so chuffed for you all that things are heading in the right direction. All the best Melinda. Floss.
This is great advice. We have a very narrow garage but if we can store it in there until we figure things out, we will. Like you said, it is a very stressful time. I'm very grateful to have sold our house without having to put it on the market. That was incredible. Thank you and take care. 🤗♥️
congrats on the move and sorry about losing the jukebox.. I have a Seebuerg VL200.. love it and it looks so cool. I bought the Elemental lp TOM ZÉ - TODOS OS OLHOS you recommended.. very cool stuff.. now I need the OG!!
I'm glad you picked up that Tom Ze record up. It's so catchy and good. I've never seen an original. That would be an amazing find. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
My brother has his Jukebox also a Seeburg heavily renovated in his Garage adjacent to the Courtyard so he can play it during Barbecues and other Family affairs - it weighs over 200 lbs with 100-45s in it so mobility is problematic - if not the garage maybe your daughter has a place for the Jukebox - please don't just leave it behind! Great video Melinda❤Have a safe move - see you next week!
I know. I don't want to leave it behind. It would be a beast to carry upstairs and can't make that pivot. I would really love to keep it but I don't know where it can go. The garage is extremely narrow and hot. I will give it a lot of thought because I really do want to keep it. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
Hey Melinda, sorry to hear about you potentially losing your jukebox to the house move. I can relate to furniture or other items not able to be used where intended. I hope there's a way to salvage the jukebox situation. I note the suggestions of tipping it on its side to move it upstairs. However you might want to ensure those 45's are firmly secured and won't fall out of their slots. You might need to consider removing the singles from the jukebox to be safe? Whichever way it goes good luck. I really hope there's a positive result for you. Best wishes with the move. Cheers 😘❤️👍👍
That's a wonderful suggestion. I have already removed the 45's which lightens the load a little bit. This jukebox is an absolute beast. Lol. It is so heavy that taking it upstairs in an optimal situation is already difficult. This narrow pivot makes it even harder. I won't let it go without a fight but it most likely can't go upstairs. Thank you and I hope you are doing well. You seem extremely happy these days. ♥️🤗 Take care.
Best of luck with the move. We moved out of London down to the West Country some three years ago and are still realising that some things don't appear to have made the journey with us. They appear to have disappeared into the ether. Hope that doesn't happen to you. All the best.
Hey Melinda, God bless you & your family with this Move. I sure hope you have anticipated all the Florida storm possibilities? I never want to watch one of your video's where your talking about losing your collection to a bad hurricane. but I do look Forward to seeing the future video of how you folks figured out a way to keep the Jukebox! Just one question, how big was the spoon that came with that Stevie Nicks Barbie? LOL!
Oh my goodness. That Stevie joke was harsh. 😄 Lol I hope I never experience a hurricane like that. We are not in a flood zone and my collection will be kept upstairs. That doesn't mean a hurricane can't destroy my home though. We are taking the risk so that we can be closer to our daughter. I hope you're right about the jukebox. I love the positive thoughts. Thank you and take care. 😀♥️
I'm so glad you got to see Stevie!! I've love her for decades and I've seen her many times. And that shirt is awesome! So sorry about your jukebox. There's got to be some way to keep it after all the work you put into it.
I hope we figure something out about the jukebox but it isn't looking very good. Stevie was amazing. I'm so glad to see her. ♥️ Thank you and take care.
…very impressed that you could even sit down to do this great post under the circumstances ! So sorry to hear of possible jukebox issue…hope other options work and you can enjoy it forevermore…the BB looks great ! and agree it’s impossible to find og Motown in pretty good condition…
Thank you for the kind words. Life has been very crazy and we still have a long way to go. These videos are a lot of fun for me so I want to continue on as much as possible. 🤗♥️ Thank you and take care.
Love stevie nicks, saw her a while back and she was great. One of my Facebook friends scared me the other day saying she had died, then I realised she’d called her parrot Stevie Nicks and that was what had died. Phew! Enjoy the concert, love your videos ❤😊
Good luck with your move: I understand family comes first and that's what's important. Couldn't pay me enough to live in Florida, however. Will be a big change from the beautiful state of Kentucky.
It's such a bummer about the juke box. I want one so bad and have tons of 45s, but I just don't have a place for it in my home either. Maybe once the kids are moved out I can find one, but it just doesn't work right now. Rock on!
I bet you will have one someday. 😀 Kids grow up so fast and then you will have extra space. That's one of the few bright spots about our kids growing up. 🤗❤️ Thank you and take care.
My son and I are heading to your neck of the woods in KY at the end of June for the record show and the Jerry Garcia exhibit. I'd be happy to hold on to your jukebox for you. 😆
Good morning Melinda! Oh man your video title scared me! I thought something happened to part of your record collection, in transit to Florida! Phew! Lol. You guys probably thought of this already, but I agree with another comment, that I’d keep it in the garage while I disassemble it, take it upstairs in pieces and reassemble it 🤷♂️. If that’s possible. As for me though, half of my garage is a man cave, so I’d probably just keep it out there, myself. I was fortunate enough to see Fleetwood Mac when they reunited in 1997. Great concert! Have a great day
I wish we had a large garage. A man cave with the jukebox would be a good idea. ♥️ Sadly, my jukebox can't be disassembled in a way that it can be brought upstairs. That pivot in the staircase is just too narrow. 😪 We haven't moved the entire collection yet. I hope that nothing goes wrong. One of my bookshelves did receive some damage but I think it can be repaired. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
Glad you found a place you both like. My wife and I just put a bid on a place in Florida too. Her Requirement(s): nice kitchen, mater suite and pool. Mine: place for my vinyl or enough lot space To build a storage space.
We had the same requirements. We are going to renovate the kitchen and change out the floors. This house isn't "move in" ready but the layout is great and is the perfect location for us. Best wishes to you. I hope you get the house. 🤗♥️🌞🌴 Take care.
I feel the same way. I will definitely miss KY but I'm up for the new adventures. 🤗♥️ Our daughter is excited that we are moving as well. Thank you and take care.
Just found your channel. Couple of ideas to save the jukebox. You dont think it would look right in the kiving room but what about the family room. Also, is there may e a den or a nook in the lower floor that you could move it to? And though not ideal, what about in the garage?
The garage is very narrow so it probably wouldn't work there. I will have to think about the downstairs as an option. I definitely enjoy listening to music in my living room/kitchen so maybe there is a place to put it downstairs. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
My wife had the very same problem as you have (with that juke box) with an antique display cabinet that couldn't turn the stairs, Melinda. In the end, my father-in-law painstakingly dismantled it then re-assembled it once inside our living room. Is that an option?
It is an option but my husband has warned me that there is a strong chance that we may not be able to get it to work again once we do that. This juke box has been playing well but can be temperamental. It's a risk. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
I feel your pain about losing something you really want to keep. Giving up the jukebox is a letdown, but focus on what you'll gain by giving it up, eg, closer to your daughter, something else more meaningful, etc.. RE: Motown - yes, finding original copies that are in decent condition is a challenge. I'm regretting not picking up a lot of them at a local record store last Sunday. When they're open again on Wednesday, I'll be there to pick buy them. The prior owner really took care of their records.
Finding great Motown records in decent shape is a challenge. You should definitely pick the ones you found up if they're still available. I enjoy these releases from Elemental Music. ♥️ Motown is hard to find here in Kentucky. Thank you and take care.
I hope you're able to find a way to get the jukebox upstairs in the new home. Maybe it can be turned up on its side and navigated up the stairs/landing? I'm sure y'all are looking into that and good luck. You might even be able to contact a company, and piano movers come to mind, that has more experience in moving heavy, hard to move or navigate objects? Good luck either way! I saw BB King at Rockefellers down in Houston in either 1985 or 1988 when I was young. A late friend of mine was going with his parents that had bought some tickets and they had an extra one and asked me if I wanted to go. I still have my ticket stub saved. It was a great show and I got to briefly meet him after the show too. We had great seats and a great night and it's a memory I'll always remember. Good luck on the move and congratulations on the new music room too! I'm not sure what part of Kentucky you might be in but thankfully it looks like those recent tornadoes didn't affect your family. This has been a crazy storm season so I hope y'all stay safe :-) Brian in Fort Worth 🎶
Thank you for the kind words. Based on the comments, I may just go ahead and bring the jukebox with us to Florida and see what we can do once we get there. I will definitely look into hiring professionals and see if they can find a way to bring it upstairs. Thankfully, our city was spared from any tornadoes, just bad winds and storms. We are grateful. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
Hi Melinda! I know exactly how you feel. My jukebox collection as well as my record collection are my children. My wife would have no trouble with putting everything out on the curb. Now, jukeboxes, they all come apart. On the 'burgs, you screw down the retaining tab to lock the carriage in place. Unplug the wiring looms, take the retaining bolts out and the whole mechanism slides out. I like to remove the records first and put them in a old fashioned record carrier box for safety. All the other components unplug, unbolt or unclip. Box 'em all up. You can remove all the upper and titlestrip panels. You are left with the basic box with the speakers and wire loom attached to the inside of the box. One person should be able to move the basic box. You can turn it on end, upside down or whatever it takes to move it wherever you have to. Where there is a will there is a way. It will be easier moving the jukebox than moving your shelving units and record collection. Good luck and best wishes!
My husband isn't crazy about the idea of taking it completely apart but it may be the only option to get it upstairs. Thank you for the suggestion. We'll see what happens. Take care. ♥️🤗
I think the doll is sold out everywhere so I was surprised to see it at her show. As far as I know, that's the only place it's available. The Tina Turner doll is very cool too. ♥️ Thank you and take care.
Thanks for the suggestion on the BBKing live in Japan, I found it new on eBay from a Bklyn, NY seller for forty one and change. I did see him live at a Jones Beach concert many many years ago, so it’ll be nice to have a good live recording from 1971 in my collection. Thanks again.
Good luck with the move Melinda recently moved myself and set up a great new music room but had to sell my giant framed Johnnyv Cash framed poster! Bummer but not as much as your beautiful juke box! But hey progress means change I guess Juke Box in your new garage or kitchen maybe?
I'm sorry that your Johnny Cash poster didn't work. I may run into that along the way as well. I hope you are happy at your new home. Thank you and take care. 🤗♥️
Wow Melinda Florida!! But, the Jukebox must be with You, even if it is in your garage!! All my Loving for You and good luck in your new home!! Love from Sweden!!🥰💛🖤😋……..
HiMelinda and welcome fellow floridian. Yes I'm here in Florida also. Hope you enjoy it here. It's so nice to have a music room i had one in my house that i use to live. Sorry about your jukebox but you have your music to listen to. Have a good day!
Sorry about the jukebox - it’s a beauty. I knew some people who had to move a piano upstairs and they hired some professionals who used a block and tackle arrangement to hoist it through an upper window - if you have a big enough one there. Anyway - best to you and yours.
Good luck with the move! So happy you can be there with your daughter. Bummer about the jukebox. I’d hate leaving that behind as well. I’ve always wanted one of my own. That Stevie doll is so cool! Cheers☘️
Thank you very much. We are so excited for the new adventures and would be heartbroken if we didn't live close to our daughter. I'm sad about the jukebox but when moving, sometimes things just don't work out. I'm bummed but still excited for the new music room. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
I have a 3 LP set Supremes anthology. That We Remember Sam Cooke album seems like it might be a real gem. BTW, great hair in this video, it looks very nice!
Good luck with everything Melinda, you deserve it! You also deserve to remove a window upstairs and get a crane to throw the jukebox in the room!😂 there's always a way... Best wishes and thank you for the great videos.
Hey Melinda you will have the memories of the juke box if it can be moved up to your music room,.and the great singles 45's. I also love your words of wisdom " I'd rather regret buying it, then regret not buying it.". As for the Supremes we remeber Sam Cooke I have og on mono that in world 's greatest shape maybe I will buy the new one , Best of luck on the move .
Everyone is different but I tend to regret what I didn't get versus buying something I really didn't need or want. The Stevie doll is adorable. ♥️ I love this Supremes album. Elemental did a great job on it. Thank you and take care.
Yeah, moving house can be awful. The last time for me was nine years ago, and I had accumulated much and ended junking quite a bit of it (mostly kitchen equipment I wasn't using and videos). Regarding the juke box, I'm not sure if any of my suggestions would be applicable, but I'll give them anyway: 1) Put it in your garage and make that part of it a rumpus room. 2) Put it on your back porch, if you happen to have a screened one. 3) Hoist it into the upstairs through a window or door using a crane of some sort. You would need, of course, a wide and tall window or door to do this. BTW, this is how they move furniture in Amsterdam. 4) Disassemble the juke box, carry the parts upstairs, then reassemble it. This would be a lot of work, but maybe it could be broken down into six or seven sections. I'm impressed you played tenor sax in high school. That was a great experience, and I'm sure you hear things that others don't as a result. Best of luck on your move. Will enjoy seeing what your new music room will look like!
Thank you for the ideas. As a last resort, we may have to take it apart. My husband is hesitant to do that due to the age and temperament on the jukebox. It's difficult to repair when something goes wrong. I do have a screened in back porch but I worry it would get some rain. Thank you for the advice and kind words. I loved being a band nerd. ♥️🤗 Thank you and take care.
You should be able to remove most of the mechanisms from inside the machine, remove the lights and anything else from the inside that will easily fall. Then take it up the stairs as you described and when you get to the landing turn it up on its side and walk it around the corner. Lay it back down and continue on up. It will also be much, much lighter. Could work and I would certainly give it a shot with my MM6 before I thought about getting rid of it.
I will read this comment to my husband and see what he thinks. He told me that he can't dismantle it in a way to make it fit through the pivot area. I would really love to find a way to make it work. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
Bummer. losing valuable things sucks . the room really looks so empty. it will take ; some time to get used to seeing you on your new home in Florida seeing your videos in another place. ive been a subscriber for almost 2 years. good video beautiful melinda
I think if you can’t keep the jukebox take a picture of it and frame that picture to remember it. When we moved a few years ago I left a lot of my lifetime collection but it was so good to lighten things up and have more space. Moving is so stressful. I am looking forward to seeing your new videos from Florida. Safe Travels! Thanks for sharing, and that Stevie Nicks doll is neat. Never knew about that.
I will definitely take a lot of pictures of it. I will be sad to let it go. I have been clearing out closets and letting a lot of things go. I agree, it feels good to let certain items go. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
Hi Melinda from the UK. Some great suggestions on moving the jukebox. I have a staircase like the one you described and my jukebox lives in the entrance hallway under the stairs downstairs and looks great. In that position it fills the house with music. I am sure you won’t have to part with yours removal men have a wonderful knack of getting pianos etc upstairs!! Good luck I love the channel.
You are moving states, in the middle of it, and talking about your new house you are talking about "the new music room" LOL!!!! You so belong in the VC M!!! The one place where we all get it and think the exact same way lol. All the best in the remainder of the journey. :)
" I'd rather regret buying it, then regret not buying it." Words of wisdom!! I hope your move goes well. Phil must save the jukebox!
Lol. I'm not sure how wise buying the doll was but here two weeks later I'm still glad I bought the doll. ♥️
I hope we can figure something out for the jukebox but it doesn't look good.
I will run this idea by my husband. That would be cool. Thank you. ♥️🤗
Hi Melinda, I would rather regret bringing the jukebox than regret not bringing it. I've learned over the years that there is a solution to every problem. Store it for a while and the solution will come. Look forward to the room tour. Best of luck with the move!
Thank you! I will hang on to it until all hope is lost. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
Melinda…….best hair in the VC! 🤣🤣🤣
Awww! Thank you! ♥️🤗
The jukebox can be showcased in one of your downstairs rooms as the ultimate test when meeting brand new friends. If they like it, you can take them up to see your music room!
Great point! 🤗♥️ I will definitely consider it. Thank you and take care.
Jealous! (I got the Bowie Barbie and I love it.)
Here’s wishing you the best with everything. Look forward to seeing the transition to your new home!
Thank you for the encouragement. You have been in our shoes. It's a lot of stress and work but we are excited about the adventure. 🤗♥️
Stevie was even better than I thought she would be.
I like your stories. I am glad you saw Stevie Nicks and the doll.
Moving can be stressful. I hope things will get better soon.
I'm so glad I was able to finally see Stevie. She still sounds great. ♥️ She's an amazing performer with a kind heart. Thank you for the kind words. Take care.
I’d take the jukebox anyway. You guys worked hard on it! Put it in your living room if you have to! Love your channel! Good luck!
Thank you! I am definitely considering all possibilities. Take care. 🤗♥️
I know, buy a beautiful screen to put in front of the juke box when you have company over. Or in a closet of the office? Open the double doors and voila! Close the doors and no one is the wiser.
.. hope the move is all you would hope it would be .. your videos are just a joy .. wishing you all you would wish for yourself and your family .. looking forward to seeing the new music room
.. the new videos will be as great as before .. take care .. David
I will definitely consider putting it somewhere downstairs. If I can find the right spot, I will definitely keep it. Thank you and take care. 🤗♥️
Cue up Chandler from friends "PIVOT! PIVOT! PIVOT! 😂
Lol. Exactly! ♥️🤗 That was Chandler, Rachel and Ross. Hilarious! Thank you and take care.
Thanks Malinda for the video. I've always enjoyed Motown music. I think that they put out some of the best pop music in the 1960's. Hopefully you can figure out a way to move your jukebox to your new home. Best wishes on your move to Florida!
Thank you! 😀
Convince Phil to let you keep the jukebox downstairs. What a conversation starter for your new friends and neighbours!
I agree. Let's hope he thinks that's a great idea. 😀Thank you and take care.
It’s okay to let things go, both and bad things! It all moves around. Looking forward to seeing the new setup!
I'm looking forward to getting the new room out together as well. ♥️🤗 Thank you and have a great weekend.
Take care. 🤗♥️
Good luck on the move! Compromises always happen in a move. Fingers crossed about the jukebox!
Thank you for the kind wishes. I really appreciate it. Thank you and take care. 🤗❤️
You're a sweet lady..... It's nice to tune in every once in a while to see what's up with your vinyl collecting, etc.
Thank you so much for the kind words. ♥️🤗 Take care.
Take care. ❤
Thank you so much for the kind words. I really appreciate it. Take care. ♥️🤗
wow Melinda, I love those videos, you open up your life so that I really get to know you personally as a good music friend 😎
So sorry about that JukeBox, maybe there are other solutions? using a crane? getting it in through a window? Having a specialist dismantle a window so you will have a big enough opening? is there no veranda door or something in the 2nd floor?
I really hope this would work out Melinda 🤠
Thank you for the kind words. I hope we are able to figure something out as well. Take care. 🤗♥️
Well said, sir! 👍👍👍
We sure did work hard and I had so much fun and spent so much time buying the singles for it. If we can keep it, we will. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
Thanks for sharing! I grew up in Deland, Florida. It was fun going to Daytona Beach
Daytona is a wonderful area. I bet your memories are terrific. ♥️🤗 Thank you and take care.
@@MelindaMurphy thank you honey!
Melinda, always remember; When moving large bundles of vinyl, take your time. Your collection AND your back/muscles will thank you!😊
Exactly. Those boxes are too heavy for me to lift. My poor husband has been lifting most of them. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
And beware the heat while they are on the road. Heat and vinyl dont mix.
@@MelindaMurphy You have a great husband!
Excited to see your new setup. And if you’re not able to keep your jukebox that’s just more room for records!
That's a good way of looking at things. I will be so happy when it's time to put my new music room together. Thank you and have a great weekend. ♥️🤗
Sweet! You got the Stevie Nicks Barbie! It is already VERY collectible. We have it too! Good luck on the move!
The expensive part is what I'm afraid of. Lol. Thank you for the suggestion. Have a great weekend. ♥️🤗
I hope your floors are strong enough to hold your record collection upstairs!! Good luck with your move
Me too! Lol. They are heavy. Thank you and take care. 🤗♥️
Welcome to Florida. We're glad to have you here! ❤
BTW - Keep the jukebox.
If I can find a spot, I will do that. Thank you and take care. 🤗♥️
Thanks for the tip on the B.B. King Live In Japan. I just ordered a copy from Acoustic Sounds.
Very cool! It's wonderful. ♥️🤗
Congratulations to your family! I wish your daughter a long and successful career, and you and your husband a long and happy life close to her 😊
Thank you so much. ♥️🤗
Awesome! My father has a winter home in Crystal River and loves it there. Some great fishing all over Florida if you ever do that.
I think my husband may do some fishing. I think we will like it in Florida too. Thank you and take care. 🤗♥️
Hi Melinda 🌞 ! Good Luck in Florida 🍊. #SaveTheJukebox
I love the hashtag. 😄 Thank you. 🤗♥️
Good morning Melinda, I hope that no new videos is just related to your move to Florida. Looking forward to a new one. All the best.
I just put a new one out this morning. The move has been quite time consuming. Thank you and take care. 🤗♥️
Always like your show. Best wishes on your guys move. Love and peace.
Thank you very much. ♥️🤗
I hope we can figure out something for the jukebox.
Stevie was wonderful.
Hope you enjoy your new house Melinda -sure it will all work out in the end!
Thank you! I hope so too. 🤗♥️ Take care.
Congratulations to your family! Your kid looks just like you, you must be proud of her accomplishment! Sorry about the jukebox!😮😊
We are very proud of her. ♥️ Thank you for the kind words. 😀 Take care.
This is a life consuming event but we are excited for the adventure of living somewhere new.
That's a very scary thought. We are near the coast but not in a flood zone. I hope you're wrong for both of our sakes. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
That's a very scary thought. We are near the coast but not in a flood zone. I hope you're wrong for both of our sakes. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
That's climate change for you.

I am so excited to have my own record room. Thank you for the encouragement Nick. 🤗♥️ Take care.
Lol.
Hope
your move goes well ,and good luck setting up your hi fi .
Thank you so much! ❤️🤗
All of the records in this video are great. I love hearing The Supreme's harmonies singing these wonderful songs. ♥️ Thank you and take care. 🤗
@@MelindaMurphy Hi Melinda, just a thought, do you have any second story windows or doors the jukebox may fit through? You could maybe rent a lift like they use to put tiles on a roof. Know you and your husband will think of something. Good luck!
Great video-best of luck in Florida. Have you considered taking the top half of the jukebox off and taking it up that way?
@@MelindaMurphy thanks. Yes amazing how one's life can be brightened randomly out of the blue by a special person 😘. All good 😊❤
Best of luck with the move. We moved out of London down to the West Country some three years ago and are still realising that some things don't appear to have made the journey with us. They appear to have disappeared into the ether. Hope that doesn't happen to you. All the best.
I hope nothing goes missing, especially, my record collection. Lol. Moving is such a pain. 🤗 Thank you and take care.
😄 Lol
I hope I never experience a hurricane like that.
Looking forward to seeing the new space. Sad to hear about the jukebox, it looks amazing! I would be bummed too.
It is a bummer but I am also looking forward to the new music room.
Oh my goodness. That would be a scary moment. Stevie was great. 🤗♥️ Thank you and take care.
Good luck with your move: I understand family comes first and that's what's important. Couldn't pay me enough to live in Florida, however. Will be a big change from the beautiful state of Kentucky.
It will definitely be different. I will miss KY but I'm looking forward to the adventure. Thank you and take care. 🤗❤️
Very cool. I hope to get to go to the record show. 🤗❤️ Thank you and take care. ❤️🤗
Her
Requirement(s): nice kitchen, mater suite and pool. Mine: place for my vinyl or enough lot space
To build a storage space.
We had the same requirements. We are going to renovate the kitchen and change out the floors. This house isn't "move in" ready but the layout is great and is the perfect location for us. Best wishes to you. I hope you get the house. 🤗♥️🌞🌴 Take care.
So sorry for your loss, of your Jukebox. Great video as always, looking forward to seeing your new music room!
Thank you! I'm very excited to have a new music room. ♥️🤗 Take care.
I find you to be incredible, Melinda, as a wife, as a mother and as a music lover. I never miss a video.
Wow! Thank you very much. 🤗♥️ Take care.
I would miss The Blue Moon of KY but a new place and new people and being close to your daughter sounds exciting
I feel the same way. I will definitely miss KY but I'm up for the new adventures. 🤗♥️ Our daughter is excited that we are moving as well. Thank you and take care.
Good luck in your move hope you have a great time keep an eye out for some rainbow albums all the best from Phil in England x
I don't have any Rainbow albums in my collection. Hopefully, I will find some at the record stores in Florida. 🤗♥️ Thank you and take care.
My thoughts and love are with you during this stressful time mick in the U.K. xxx
Thank you very much. ♥️🤗
I'm sorry about the jukebox, The only thing I can think of is adding a room and I know that's expensive. Good luck with whatever you do.
Thank you. I appreciate the suggestion. 🤗♥️ Take care.
My old Kentucky home.
Good luck in Florida- I hope you like it there.
I know. That song will have a new meaning for me from now on. ♥️ Thank you and take care.
This has been a crazy storm season so I hope y'all stay safe :-)
Brian in Fort Worth 🎶
Take care. ♥️🤗
I envy you and that doll! 😆 I have a small specialty Barbie series collection and I’d love to get my hands on that.
I think the doll is sold out everywhere so I was surprised to see it at her show. As far as I know, that's the only place it's available. The Tina Turner doll is very cool too. ♥️ Thank you and take care.
@@MelindaMurphy I had a Cher doll once. My puppy chewed the hands off😆
Sorry to hear about your jukebox. Perhaps a miracle will happen. Hope your move goes smoothly as can be. Take care.
Let's hope. I love my jukebox. 😪 Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
I'm so glad you are enjoying it. What a fantastic performance. It's amazing that you were able to see him in concert. ♥️ Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
Good luck with the move Melinda recently moved myself and set up a great new music room but had to sell my giant framed Johnnyv Cash framed poster!
Bummer but not as much as your beautiful juke box!
But hey progress means change I guess
Juke Box in your new garage or kitchen maybe?
I'm sorry that your Johnny Cash poster didn't work. I may run into that along the way as well. I hope you are happy at your new home. Thank you and take care. 🤗♥️
Wow Melinda Florida!! But, the Jukebox must be with You, even if it is in your garage!! All my Loving for You and good luck in your new home!! Love from Sweden!!🥰💛🖤😋……..
I agree. I want to keep the jukebox. ♥️ Thank you for the encouragement. Take care. 🤗
HiMelinda and welcome fellow floridian. Yes I'm here in Florida also. Hope you enjoy it here. It's so nice to have a music room i had one in my house that i use to live. Sorry about your jukebox but you have your music to listen to. Have a good day!
Hello! I can't wait to live in Florida. 🌴🌞 I'm bummed about the jukebox but I can keep all of my 45's. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
@@MelindaMurphy Well good luck on your move and it is a pain in the butt especially the music i know i have done it recently lol. Have a good one!!!
Sorry about the jukebox - it’s a beauty. I knew some people who had to move a piano upstairs and they hired some professionals who used a block and tackle arrangement to hoist it through an upper window - if you have a big enough one there. Anyway - best to you and yours.
If we can determine a way to do it, we will. I would love to keep the jukebox. 🤗♥️ Thank you and take care.
Thank you for the kind compliment. 🤗♥️ I love this Supremes album. Wonderful songs and beautiful harmonies can't be beat. Thank you and take care.
Make sure you get some hurricane insurance for your collection
Did you keep the house up there by Louisville area or did you leave completely?
We sold our KY house today. We will definitely be getting insurance in Florida. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
Good luck with everything Melinda, you deserve it!
You also deserve to remove a window upstairs and get a crane to throw the jukebox in the room!😂 there's always a way...
Best wishes and thank you for the great videos.
Lol. I wonder how much that would cost? 🤔 I hope I do get to keep it but I'm also preparing for the worst. Thank you and take care. 🤗♥️
I love this Supremes album. Elemental did a great job on it. Thank you and take care.
Yeah, moving house can be awful. The last time for me was nine years ago, and I had accumulated much and ended junking quite a bit of it (mostly kitchen equipment I wasn't using and videos).
Regarding the juke box, I'm not sure if any of my suggestions would be applicable, but I'll give them anyway:
1) Put it in your garage and make that part of it a rumpus room.
I love the shirt ! good luck with your move !
Thank you very much. ♥️🤗
Yes, it will take time to get used to the new room when we move. I hope it will look great and sound even better. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
@MelindaMurphy no problem beautiful melinda
Before letting the jukebox go, I will consider options downstairs so thank you for the suggestion. ♥️🤗 Thank you and take care.
Can't wait to see the new music room
I'm looking forward to it as well. ♥️🤗 Thank you and take care.
You are moving states, in the middle of it, and talking about your new house you are talking about "the new music room" LOL!!!! You so belong in the VC M!!! The one place where we all get it and think the exact same way lol. All the best in the remainder of the journey. :)
Lol. 😀 Thank you! I can't wait to have my very own music room. ❤️ Take care.
