@@123KevinJohn Then the Dolphins should have let him hold out and should have planned ahead by bringing in a more competent back up QB. Not only did you have him on the 5th, but you also could threaten him with the franchise tag 2025.
His only leverage was threatening to ruin the 2025 season. And how did that turn now? Our season is STILL ruined and now we are on the hook for 120-160 million.

It's the gamble a team takes. The whole issue here, is that with Ryan Tannehill, we knew, he was not going to get better. He shoud have NEVER been paid. Fins front office knew this and should allowed him to walk, and get the comp pick. Draft a QB in that draft or get on via Free agency OR both. With Tua Tagovailoa, he showed flashes, and gotten better every year. And yet again..what was the Dolphins backup plan? Plus, Coach McDaniel was brought in specifically for Tua Tagovailoa. So both Coach & QB are now bound. Well, that may change.

Idk, that 1999 playoff loss to the Jags, was really bad. And we had a better defense too. That game forced Marino not only to retire but Coach Jimmy Johnson to quit. The organization would never be the same. It literally marked the end of an era. This loss was really bad but if Tua never played again, McDaniel still has his job. And the defense, is by no means, great or good. It's average, imho.

The most upsetting thing is that all sadly predictable. The team with the most concussion prone qb can't be the same team with an undersized, oft injured less than talented starting oline. When Hill and Waddle are open, it's great. When they're not? It's a problem. It's not enough to get the ball out fast. You need to make sure your fragile QB isn't getting murdered when he needs to go to other receivers. Grier’s cavalier approach to the oline (and trenches in general) is a horrible matchup for a guy like Tua. It’s been this way for years. All our olines get pushed around and tonight the Bills tooks out the QB and two lineman. When is this madness gonna end with these horrible oline builds???

Tua is not and will never be a complete NFL quarterback, the complete collapse of this team the past two years in December should be adequate to illustrate this. He cannot extend plays, he cannot put the Dolphins on his back against quality teams and win, the fact he got a fat contract extension only shows that Ross and Grier lack the mindset to make winning decisions. Another forgotten example, the Dolphins once had Dan Campbell on the coaching staff and as an interim head coach and let him get away. I have been a Dolphins fan for over 50 years and the health of this organization is not good, if fact this organization is not even mediocre.

And it's not being insensitive nor cruel hearted. It's facts. We are not Tua Tagovailoa nor know all the information that he is getting, from medical staff. Tua Tagovailoa, will make the best choice he has to make for himself and his family. Prayers and Good Thoughts, go out to him, and fans just have to accept any choice he makes.

I love Tua and wish him the best recovery! I've always been supportive of him being our QB. We now have to imagine the team without him, even if long term and I think Mac Jones (if attainable) would make this situation less disastrous and he'd keep us competing in the AFC East, & could be our future! He was arguably the best QB in the Jaguars camp and in the preseason. He's very smart, as athletic as Tua, and would pick this offense up in very short order! If Shanahan didn't have Purdy, he'd be on the 49ers roster! The problems in NE were 'their' issues and that's become apparent. It would be like a re-do on choosing a 1st round QB, and wouldn't cost much.

As you know the reason why Chris Grier survives, is because he rarely will make a higher draft pick. He will say "the head coach wanted this pick" so, when that pick does not pan out, the blame shifts to the head coach. Which, both are to blame. Grier can't draft, and the head coach (Flores mostly, McDaniel to a lesser extent), don't have an eye for talent. 2020 should have been the year, that the Oline got fixed. I get so sick of, come draft time, and all the Fins fans, are going gaga over all the draft picks. Do they forget that Grier's track record is not very good? It's like holding our breath. It’s not just one game. We are approaching the better part of a decade where this organization completely owns us. We are no closer to beating them than we were with the last 3-4 coaches ago. It’s time for these guys to step aside if this is the best they can do. It was a truly pathetic effort.

With the situation not being great obviously and leaving trades out of it, i'm inclined to think C.J. Beathard would be a good pickup. He played with McDaniel in San Francisco, so at least there is familiarity with the offense.

Buffalo only had 247 yards on offense for the following reasons: 1. Miami turnovers set up short fields or directly led to a score. 2. The Bills went vanilla on offense up 31-10 with 9:00 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. 3. A pick 6 on defense and a 49 yard run by Cook resulted in the Bills only running 42 plays minus the kneel downs and barely 23 minutes of possession time. The Bills averaged 6 yards per play and Allen had over 100 yards passing early in the 2nd quarter and executed a key 4th down play and a 3rd and 12 play that led to a first and goal at the 1 yard line. If Allen had to do more, I'm pretty sure he would have.

Everyone gets injured. We sign OBJ, on IR, we draft Tahj Washington and he gets hurt in camp, we draft Malik Washington and he's out the 1st 2 games, Cracraft injured in the 1st preseason game, Eze injured neck. Mostert injured, Wynn injured, Armstead injured, Robert Jones injured, Jeff Wilson got injured last night and of course, Tua. This team is old, and overpaid. They pay a qb a big, top 3 contract who finished 1 full season, who never won a division title or playoff game and has a concussion history. We're already down Chubb, Philips is working his way back, Poyer is 33, Armstead 33, Calais 38, Ramsey paid a top 3 deal and he's 30, Hill a top 3 deal and he's 30. They spend all this money and have no insurance plan just in case your big money, fragile qb gets injured behind an average to below average oline. Poor decision making in the front office and outright negligence by risking the present and future of your franchise with such irresponsible decisions and no vision. This wreaks of a desperate front office scrambling to save their jobs by putting together a roster full of aging, injury prone, washed up players in the twilight of their careers.

He always thinks he can get cheap labor that’s almost as good. They aren’t. He finally figured out he needs stars so he signed the. What he didn’t figure out is how to draft WELL and make that cheap labor. Rejects and old injured players should not be the cheap labor. Before last year we only had 2 draft picks after 5 years. Most traumas half their team is draft picks. This is griers problem. He drafts people not even on the board and thinks he knows better

I would love to see the NFL institute some kind of buy back program. Basically, if the player decides to leave the league, the NFL pays a portion or 100% of the guaranteed salary. The team is free or any and all cap implications. Lastly, the team gets back the draft pick that they used on the player. This way the NFL wins by looking like the good guy, the team isn’t penalized for having a player go down and maybe the player makes the right call by retiring and not feeling like he let down his team and family.

Did OBJ have other teams trying to sign him? Most probably so. Was OBJ or his agent, trying to push for a higher price, and a sense of urgency to get a deal done in May, knowing full well, that OBJ would not be ready to play the first four games? Alain Poupart, my issue with this, is why is it so hard, for the Fins to develop more WRs? Maybe I am giving Coach McDaniel too much credit, but he should be having an eye for offense talent all over. He should be finding solid backup WRs via UDFA. These WRs not only getting injured but the point, where they can't play, it's a broken record. It's nearly like every single year.

Tua is here due to superhuman anticipation with throws with sliding and running out of bounds, not so much. At the end of the day the NFL will have to save Tua from Tua let's face it he does not have QB measurables by stature. Huge Dolphin fans however Chris Grier must be held accountable by body of work and fired. McDaniel cool dude yes, yes strange antics and quirky, but that doesn't win games in the NFL. Hope Tua makes the right decision for his health.

OLine should have Grier’s attention now. But it won’t.
McDaniel and Grier consistently field an undisciplined, injury prone team, that flops in big games.
