Actually there *_IS_* an answer to the "Impossible" Question. And it's not related to actual math but one of the greatest jokes/ unanswered follow-up questions from Douglas Adam's _Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy_ Sci-Fi Comedy about a bunch of people on the quest to discover the answer to the age old question: "What is the Meaning of Life Itself?" The joke I'm referring to is this one brilliant scene where this race of beings built the universe's most advanced supercomputer, called Deepthink" to formulate the answer in the shortest, most simplest to understand way, to make sense of the madness the seemingly contradictory viewpoints, religions, philosophies, cultures that have led to wartime atrocities, schisms, conflict, angry debates, and other evils involved in trying to establish a singular unifying answer that no one can argue against. After spending millennia pondering about what the answer was, the one it gave the people who made it... only confused them more because of how utterly random, how trivial and infuriatingly simple it seemed. And before you even ask: NO. I'm not going to reveal the answer to you, as 1.) it would spoil the joke. 2.) it's so simple, so miniscule and random that if I told you the truth, you still wouldn't believe it, you'd be staring at my words blankly like I was just making it all up to see the look on your face. But remember: Baldi's a "troll" game in terms of any lore, deeper meaning, and answers, because you try to find clues as to why this is all happening to you, but few-to-none exist. It'll throw the weirdest enemies and obstacles in your way to try and trip you up (the annoying Principal of the Thing to give you detention for breaking any of the school rules; Playtime whose attempt to play jump rope with you inadvertently eats up most of your time in a chase; It's A Bully who demands that you either give him something of yours he wants or he refuses to let you past him, being a mobile threshold guardian, a roadblock of lumpen features ; and Arts and Crafts who... actually I don't know what his deal is, he's basically a giant evil sock-puppet that spies on you from around corners and will try to run up on you in the final chase, helping Baldi to catch you), but it wont bother to give you a definitive answer as to just what the hell's going on; why Baldi is compelled to beat students who get his math questions wrong with his ruler? Why does his third and final questions on most of the quizzes (barring the first one) end in unintelligible gibberish? Why do many of the students and faculty seem glitchy and warped and deformed? How does Baldi make the doors seemingly vanish at will when you get too close to some of them? Are they traps or did he teleport the door somewhere else to throw a wrench in your escape attempt? Why does the School turn blood red in the finale? None of it is explained, is elaborated on in the slightest beyond some tantalizing snippets and hints of what's in store for you. It leaves you to try and figure it out, because anything you could personally come up with would be more disturbing than anything the game could ever lay out in no uncertain terms. The closest anybody's got to an answer is what happens if you deliberately get _EVERY_ answer wrong on the math quizzes, allow Baldi to reach his highest speed and manage to still make it to the exit with all the notebooks. Instead of the game ending there as usual, it instead places you before a green door, Baldi's office (as he calmly, in contrast to the roaring GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN' he gave you in the prior run for your life, asks you to come to his office). Instead of Baldi however is a bizarre, previously unseen character called *filename2* who's speech is a glitchy, mostly undecipherable mess of words placed amidst squelching, beeping static, with a few keywords being 'Game,' 'Don't tell anybody else about,' 'Destroy it,' 'Get out while you still can (especially creepy given the _last_ time someone told us those words ended in the world turning into a roaring, nightmarish hellscape),' 'I'm not trapped in the game (a suspiciously specific denial he wasn't even asked about),' and 'Just Close the Program and Never Come Back!' Baldi himself is lying inexplicably on the floor, stretched out, distorted, as if his code is beginning to deteriorate and devolve into frame lines and loose polygon textures. That's all the "explanation" you're given.
