- A theory as old as stone on this infamous campaign track, finally proven to be possible
The believers were far less than the doubters, because the speed available on this map is really low.. but that didn't stop us from trying
Thoman and mufat recently showed me their new start with an improved rampcut and a flip on the left side rather than the right side (crizpy's idea, to avoid the car to shift gears before the flip since it travels slightly less distance), and from it I found a really powerful rammbug on the flip's landing that puts the car in a nosedown position making it accelerate faster for a bit
The result was an incredible +8 km/h at the checkpoint line that sparked some of the lost hope for the uber dream
Thoman found a very weak uber from it, far from reaching the other road, but it was a light at the end of the tunnel already
After mufat improved the speed outcome of the rammbug up to +11 km/h compared to previous TAS, I tried the uber again and this time the magic happened: an uber that reaches the other side of the map
But it was far from over, after such an important breakthrough we needed a really good ending
So the 4 of us started working on the nosebugs sequence to keep as much of the uber's speed as possible, with the extra challenges of making the car also go smoothly through the bumpy transitions, AND in a good trajectory for flipping out of the last ramp for low airtime
After 3 more days of combined efforts and sharing inputs back and forth, we're proud to present the final product of our work: 20.86
Let this be a good example of not giving up even when everyone says something is impossible
