I like Allegiance but i think that INSTINCT was the best album, they already had a charasteristic, solid and matured style. The riffs on that record are proof of his polished talent, something that in Allegiance si not appreciated much.

Lol I mean there were plenty of bands releasing albums at the same time as early ABRB or earlier that were in drop B or A#. Veil of Maya, I Killed the Prom Queen, Bleeding Through just off the top of my head. Even bands that toured WITH ABRB at this time like For the Fallen Dreams. Drop C was like the standard tuning everyone was using. The "heavy" bands had already moved to B before ABRB got big. Not a "modern" thing at all.

There was alot of good melo-death bands that came from the early 2000's . But they competeď against bands like tbdm and kinda fell under the radar of most listeners. As blood runs black always reminded me of the first tbdm album unhallowed . That was the sound of the early 2000's. Would have loved to see abrb live back then.
Freaking timeless song, I still blast this album in full on the reg. I dug the playthrough, just my opinion but a few too many cuts away from seeing what is being played, but excellent quality. This is what Death- Metalcore always should be. My only question-- is there prospect of a new album? We crave the CHUG CHUG :)
