This came out amazing! It’s funny that I always like to use black and white photos to start my album every year too! Just beautiful Amy! 💕💕💕

I thought I did the same, but last year I used color photos. Thank you!

It is so disheartening to hear scrapbookers say that because of their empty nest they have less to scrap about. As someone on the other side of infertility I can tell you it has no bearing on my scrapbooking. I have no children, no pets, my family lives far away and I’m still able to fill about 5 albums per year. It’s all about perspective and mindset. There really needs to be a paradigm shift in this community concerning making our scrapbooking not be all about the children.

I'd love to see your albums Junell. I don't have children but I do have a lot of things that I love to scrap about. I like to see inspiration from scrappers who have similar lifestyles as me.

I’m sorry you found my comment disheartening. I did not mean to offend. I’ve said in other videos how much i value telling my own story as well as that of my family. I don’t plan on stopping to tell my story now that my children have grown, but the way I choose to document will likely change. Right now I’m not sure what that will look like - Maybe i will just do some of the bigger projects each year, but it may not be in the weekly format as I’ve done for the past 10 years. You absolutely don’t have to have children to scrapbook and didn’t mean to imply that. Life evolves and my life is transitioning and it’s only natural that my art will as well. ☺️

Happy surprise to see that you're doing a variation on PL for 2023. I had decided not to in favor of just completing a few years former that had varying degrees of success. After doing a major operation purge & organization in my studio space this week, I was reinspired & I started a 2023 album. As an empty nester I don't find it too hard to complete a weekly spread but most of the time go with the flow of monthly versions with full weeks mixed within when I've had more to share. I've been able to fill one 9x12 for the last two years with this method, but wanted a bit more room this year with having grown my journaling & photography recently. Excited to see your project unfold as I find your layouts so inspiring!

Is it weird that I clicked on this for the little trimmer? I stayed for the process and I liked both the ribbon and the twine.
