You guys have to add each other as friends
You can make an xbox live account, but if you want the server public, for instance, if you need to go to school so you leave pocketmine on so that ur friends can join when ur at school/not home then you have to port forward.

If you want to play mcpe with only a few friends (up to 5) i recommend creating an xbox live account, (search it up on how to create one if you need help) you have to go join a world and then press the pause button (has resume,settings, save and quit, etc) and on the side it should have your username and say "invite to game" or something like that. Press invite to game and then press add friend. You will have to type a friends xbox live account username. Then add them as a friend and then you can invite them to your world. Once again there is a tutorial about this.

cmd baseline is simply to make a dedicated server. because its command based and can customise the hole server default coding which makes it dedicated if done the cmd baseline step you have made a fully functional dedicated server.

whenever im on my phone, I go to the "servers" button, and I try to add a server that I know of, but it won't connect.
You have to make sure that the server is for your version and it's for mcpe

Most of us say "Pocketmine is so stupid it wont work!" Well all it need is a little update so it will work. Find this by google, search PocketMine latest phar. Then replace the old phar thats installer by default with the new one. Enjoy your server with friends or alone, But scince the great Better Together update. Your almost never alone. I tried all the steps you stated in this video on my phone and EVERYTHING worked accept the part where I can actually log in to my Xbox live account or to successfully make a server.
