Looks like a excellent solution. Am I right it is very similar to say the sawyer mini but filter virus also? I know the rated life of the sawyer is a ridiculous amount of gallons I thinks in the tens of thousands. Yours has a much short life of the filter element but yours am I right in thinking is a three part filter/purifier and has the added ability of virus protection much harder to do which sets it apart form all other portable straw and gravity types? What is the weight of the set up flow rate I think I heard 16 fluid oz (which is about 450millilitres a min I think?). I expect the competition to also going to bring to market this type in the future. I was thinking of buying the MSR Guardian Purifier (very expensive) but yours is now in consideration. The key is virus etc and portability and usability. Good luck. Well done. I think you are onto a winner.
Thank you for your comments. Water One has been manufacturing personal water purifiers for more than 25 years. In fact, Water One's first personal water purifier 25 years ago was the first one ever registered with EPA. The key component of all of the previous personal water purifiers as well as Pure2Go and even our larger mobile water purification equipment is ViroBac that has been tested by leading universities and independent laboratories worldwide and clearly supports that ViroBac "kills" waterborne bacteria and viruses. You are correct that because we use ViroBac and that it does "kill" bacteria and viruses, on contact and on demand, that is the reason the amount of gallons per cartridge change are limited to 300 gallons. Of course if we were just filtering water we could do more gallons but water one is a true microbiological water purifier that meets NSF/ANSI P231 and 53 worldwide standards for a water purifier. The flow rate is between 450 - 500 ml per minute when you are using it with our gravity feed source water bags. When used like a straw or with a hydration back pack the water will be purified instantly as it is sucked through the straw. All of the testing data on ViroBac and the Pure2Go water purifier is available on our website: www.pure2gopurifier.com Thanks again for writing and safe travels.
No, but it removes the suspended solids that are the problem. TDS (dissolved solids) are not always an indication of contaminants. For example the TDS of of mineral waters such as San Pellegrino exceed 1100. Pure2Go removes or kills suspended solids and particulates greater than 0.10 microns, cysts such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium, waterborne bacteria and viruses, organic chemicals, pesticides and herbicides, as well a radioactive contaminants.
Besides killing waterborne viruses and bacteria and eliminating cysts such as cryptosporidium and giardia, Pure2Go removes the following: Sediment, organic chemicals, VOC’s, pesticides, herbicides, chlorine, radioactive contaminants

Cool
