@@michaeldew7904 Oh Leo knew it, hence the deadpan. Fitz wouldnt be mad in that situation, but it does the Army vs Navy thing without being a thing, it does the civilian vs military thing (yes i know Leo is a veteran, but he's also an Air Force veteran, so you can tack that onto the Branch vs Branch subtext) and it gives just a little more nuance than "yeah".
There are a lot of HBO shows that will give WW a run for its money. Sopranos is a very good show. I just enjoyed how they portrayed them for what they were. Knucklehead bullies who didn’t want to hold a real job
I love the cheerful little ditty at the end of this clip. not at all juxtaposed to the tone of the last scene where the VP and the head of the Joint Chiefs are discussing the altogether hypothetical suggestion that a totally legitimate accident involved the "services of professionals"
I'm quite sure I'm not alone in thinking how each week I watched this show, it had the potential of being one of those "special" episodes that defines that season. The Topic of this particular episode was in fact one of those "special" moments....especially that look between Leo and Fritz @ 2:03---2:05.... Chills
Rules for thee but not for me is the 'murican mantra. If they kill a million civilians (actually happened) then they insist it wasn't that many and it wasn't their responsibility. Nor will they allow their own people be held for war crimes under any circumstances. Fuck the US.
Fun fact, the US cannot be tried by The Hague. We have an exception that leaves us outside its jurisdiction. Which seems relevant at the moment, for no particular reason
@maxsch8454 not really because NATO have agreed unilaterally to not support the US if they ever act alone on military actions. Meaning if nations decide to impose sanctions against the US based on military acts the 31 other nations of NATO within the UN will do nothing to support the US.
@@Vesperitis If you've watched The West Wing, you'd know that neither Josh nor CJ would probably be in that job in a reboot or sequel. Firstly, I know this is a tv show. But am i the only one who finds it somewhat disconcerting that an unelected individual seems to be making some fairly important decisions
If you have ever worked for an executive branch of government at multiple levels, you will find competent people making decisions for elected officials who actually do not know what they do not know.
Wow. If America does it, it's OK cause they were just in the way but if anyone else does it for there own reasons then America puts them on the shit list and makes a big fuss at the U.N. Got It.

"No offense Fitz" - such a great line.
I kind of wanted Fitz to respond with "I'm an Admiral, Leo." (deadpan, of course)

John Spencer and John Amos did incredible work on this series.
Yeah and with that stilted dialogue and continuous repetitions, they never let you forget it.
I love every scene John Amos is in. Acting awfully well done Mister Chairman.
John Amos was so good in this role
He has told a wonderful story about his "mutual admiration" meeting with Colin Powell.
Love the Jack Lalane line about the grapefruit. 😂
I had to look up who Jack Lalane was then it made sense and its a great line
The writing on this show was second to none.
None = Sopranos. Actually, Sopranos (or Billions) writing > WW if credit is given for realism.

Definitely. It's up there with Season 1-4 Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, Mad Men etc.

Love those two. The description should say Season 4, Episode 1: 20 Hours in America (Part 1)
thank you for this. :)
When you've got the Bermuda Triangle workin' with ya in yer cover-up, well, good luck, Qumar!
Just to point it out, the Season and Episode numbers aren't filled out in the description!
Edit: Fixed, thanks!

Rob Lowe as the President, Bradley Whitford and Allison Janney as Co-Chiefs of Staff, Dule Hill as Deputy Chief of Staff.

Why don’t we have reaction videos on this amazing show
There is one channel doing reaction videos. NBC fights them on the edits so they’ve had to scale back the TH-cam videos but Patreon is obviously good
Because reaction videos are shit
