I have a Jund version of this deck. When you have a Valakut Exploration and Squandered Resources on the battlefield, the game goes crazy. Doesn't have any combo kill garanted, so i have to find ways to win in the middle of a ton of triggers. I love this deck.
Yep, this for sure earned a subscribe! Awesome deck tech, great video. Though, one thing I do notice with some other videos is that they include average prices on the cards that you show on screen, could be a worthwhile include for some extra things to look at while you explain the cards
I was already thinking of brewing a deck very similar to this but with Flubs. You get access to blue and even a card like Copy Land as well! Still like your list as well too!
I’ve been thinking about converting my Flubs deck to win like this. Blue gives you access to Magical Hack (and the other card that does the same thing) to make Yavimaya and Urborg turn all lands into Mountains
Great pick of commander! It's especially good that the "Return a land to your hand" ability is in the cost so no one can respond to it. I'm also brewing a deck around a flip land, but it's Westvale Abbey strictly because I love Ormendahl as a character so much. It just sucks that he doesn't have his own card yet. Till then, I gotta rule 0 a land as my commander 😂
Case of the Locked Hothouse: 3G Enchantment - Case You may play an additional land on each of your turns. To solve - You control seven or more lands. (If unsolved, solve at the beginning of your end step.) Solved - You may look at the top card of your library any time, and you may play lands and cast creature and enchantment spells from the top of your library. This card is great for this deck. It's similar to Oracle of Mul Daya, but only you can look at the top card of your deck instead of being public, and it's an enchantment instead of a creature so it's harder to remove. But it's a bit slower because you can't play from the deck as soon as you play it, you have to wait a turn.
I built a variation of this deck not expecting a lot. But holy shit it absolutely carried games. My opponent always felt like they couldnt outvalue my board. Even removing mina and denn didnt matter after a point.
As someone who TRIED to run Amulet Titan in Modern, this archetype is CURSED! I couldn't get the deck to work. I sold it to someone else - who ALSO couldn't get it to work, and he eventually took it apart. With that said - I run Ashaya regularly, and it's great fun.
I really like this, it sounds fun and effective. What do you think of Koth, Fire of Resistance as extra Mountain draw, removal and maybe extra valakut effect in this list?
got a very similar deck, but my commander is temur omnath, sooo strong, blue opens you up to fun copy permanent effects as well as shenanigans like magical hack (its effect lasts forever) on urborg or yavimaya (yes those have colorless identity)
Why would you ever put dark dephts in here, if you want to copy valakut usually. This isnt ''dark dephths commander'' this is ''valakut commander''. You want as many mountains in your deck as possible, putting a random dark depths is just kinda weird and seems out of place
I think he's referring to the dark depths being copied by thespian stage. Which @theosan4613 is incorrect if so - if thespian sage is already on the battlefield, and then copies dark depths, it does not copy the ice counters or the ETB.

Ooh that’s def an interesting version
I'd love to see your list Joao, care to share moxfill/other website?
Do you have a decklist?
Deck list?
I’ve been brewing this in my spare time for months lol. Awesome to see a vid on it.
Haha that’s awesome! Good to know other people are interested in it too

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback I’ll keep that in mind

Thanks! I didn’t even think of adding blue until I saw a few comments about it. That deck would probably be really interesting as well
Yep. My combo finish idea is of course ramping a ton for massive Doppelgang. Make more multiple copies of Valakut and my mountains. @@levisdeckbox
That’s a pretty funny combo lol

Hahahha well that’s a card I’ve never seen before that’s awesome

Thanks! Mina’s like the perfect fit lol.
Nice that sounds like a fun deck!
Checked the deck list and personally I would add a Zuran Orb, Spelunking and Mirrorpool so you can combo off with Worldsouls Rage even harder
Definitely some good adds. The land sac/recursion is definitely an option to further explore

Oh yeah that’s perfect actually, thanks!
Damn, this is spicy. Half expected to see a Koth Planeswalker in there as well though
Ooh yeah that actually isn’t a bad include
Bro. I absolutely love this. I had to pause a minute in to say this.
Thanks man :)

That’s awesome lol. Good to know it’s gotten good results

Hahaha I’ve had decks like that, ones that just refused to work right

Thanks! That’s definitely a great include, didn’t think of that my first go around, nice pick!
9:25 Mirage Mirror can also copy Dark Depths!
Yes! Another great reason to run that package haha so many cool synergies

lol that’s a cool direction, maybe even animating the valakut then cloning it with blue clone effects 😂😂
How about glacial cravesses? You can fog and sac lands to use recursion on.
Definitely an option! I don’t think I’d like to play with it though, seems a little unfun
elvish reclaimer would carry in this- and zuran orb, and conduit/crucible of worlds
I can see adding a more sacrifice land/ graveyard package could really help the deck
This is god damn peak
Thanks man :)
Did you mean pinnacle?
Damn it seems so damn fun
Hahaha thanks man
Levi!!! What’s good bro??? 👀
Yo yo! How you been
I’ve been aight my man, how you been boss?
Can’t complain, excited for cold weather finally hahah
@ Oh yeh? Hehe you like the snow and stuff eh?
Not really, doesn’t snow where I live. I do like the cloudy weather though haha

Because if I have Valakut out and I draw a crop rotation what am I gonna get, a mountain? Would you rather have 3 damage or 20 damage?
Sorry 😂but no a copy still contains as etb, if it triggers enter then it counts as such😅
Nothing is entering the battlefield with Thespian's ability since it becomes a copy rather than makes a copy.
Which card are you referring to?

Seems like a lot of effort for very little gain lol
Mm lightning bolting your opponents every time a mountain enters is a little gain? To each their own I guess lol
@@levisdeckbox When we are in the realm of infinite damage combos, yes. lol
It’s a casual deck lol I don’t play cedh, all of my videos are geared for casual commander
So this is a blatant lie.
How so?
