Just a note as an owner of a 992 manual GT3, a little tip to make this driving experience even better than you think it already is, this 992 Gen of the manual GT3 does have launch control, and also a flat shift function, so no need to lift off the gas when accelerating (also works changing down as well), just have a good look through the manual, (I believe they all had it as mine is a late 2022), Porsche actually recommends this method in there to get the best out of the car, it takes some getting use to, but once you try it will blow your mind and you will never want a PDK ever again, nice review, have fun!
@@carloshbprado hi, I use that feature mainly when I’m cruising along in a higher gear say an have to overtake or pass something, if I roll on the gas and the the car isn’t picking up as quick as I thought it would or need it to I just leave my foot flat to the floor on the gas while I change down to a lower gear with no need to lift off the gas, the car sorts the revs out to match on the auto blip function and it is a seamless operation, brilliant feature.
Beautiful car, beautiful owner. Anyone who thinks a GT3 is soulless fettles dogs. I've been lucky enough to spend time around that specific car and it is tremendous. Cheers Max!
Been there and noise novelty wears off on long tours plus drinks oil at an alarming rate. Turbo for touring all day, GT3 for track. Porsche have an art of making you need 2 cars and ‘man maths’ suddenly adding up!
Turbo S still the king especially given the price and daily usability as the GT3 RS and touring are just stratospheric prices and mainly kept in the garage racking very few miles given the rarity .
Glad to see Porsche got rid of the fish mouth front intake, overbite on the rear bumper & has real vents now instead of the fake VW vents on the 992.1. 992.2 looks so much better.
Hey mate wanted to ask, the 992 GT3 RS sounded a bit loud for my personal liking how would you compare this manual touring’s sound and turbo S’s sound compared to GT3 RS?
Bro, and you know why I like Porsches it’s because when there’s a lot of people go to Porsche events there’s tons of people that will fill with a football stadium and I don’t think Corvette or Lamborghini would do something like that. Porsche is much better car and remember there’s no substitute but Porsche and that’s proven for a fact Jack and we always come backand I know your name is not Jack
The suspension is very different between the 992.1 & the 992.2. Much lower spring rates and better dampers. Not driven the 992.2 yet obviously but the 992.1 GT3 is very unsettled on poor roads.
Solid NO! nobody dares talk about the pricing. Stateside ,out the door is over us250k? Even the base 911 OTD is $150k ? signed: CARRERA 991s owner and fan ;of engineering and handling, just not elephant in the room, they're charging too much. Stellla might taste waaay better than a lite beer ,and i don't mind paying the extra pound or two for it, but in Porsche terms it went from a pound or two to 20 pound a pint in last 4 years. But hey! if you buy one today...make sure to call it a "porshAA". Still love the car but happy i don't buy into drinking the $20 dollar pint nonesense.
Nope, all you need is the 991.2 GT3 Touring, much more supple car and no OPF filters. The 992 GT3 touring is over sprung and the rack is to quick. Also has a cheap interior compared to the 991. The 992.2 is even more compromised as it has a detuned engine. No question in my mind the 991.2 GT3 Touring is the one to have.
Not so sure . I’ve had both and I think the interior on the 992 is superior. Further , the turn in with the double wishbone suspension up front is miles better.
@@howarda4242 The turn in more track related plus quickened rack rate and the materials are far inferior on the interior of the 992. I don't think you understand how double wishbone works. There is nothing special about double wish bone the Miata has had it since inception and even the Toyota Landcruiser has it. I'm not impressed by any 992 so far - I've owned 20+ Porsche sports cars and the 992 is the least engaging. I had an early allocation on the 992 GT3 RS and having driven one round two fast tracks I felt the overall improvements over the 991.2 GT3 RS were minor and in real world conditions completely irrelevant. To be clear, EVO and Fifth gear took the 992 GT3 RS round Anglesey Coastal and put down times slower than the 991.2 GT3 RS as recorded by EVO. The reality is the 992 series has been compromised by emissions regulations extra weight, opf filters and in the 992.2 GT3 reduced torque. Porsche have done a good job managing this but if I want something special I now look elsewhere e.g. I recently added a 296 GTB to my garage.
Best 911 its turbo s and after na engines ones..na you stuck with that power..turbo s gains 120hp with 700 euro if you bored with power..and you will get bored of gt3 ..sound cant save it...and 10.2 stock its intoxicating of 992 turbo s and its cheaper too by 150k cheaper..no brainer
That's what I'm wondering"why the GT3 Touring? If you want ever naturally aspirated experience why not a mint condition 997 it 996 certified pre-owned? The 2025 911GTS out performers IFTTT so dudes the Turbo S. GTS is cheaper AG's there's no opening for the privilege of owning as they're is true 6 the current GT3
Take it from an owner. You don't want the bucket seats. I'll be building my 992.2 just because of the seats and overall interior. I really do put miles on my car so I can't stand the buckets
I know what you mean, I have 2 gt3 tourings, one with carbon buckets and the other with standard seats, I love driving the standard seats way more, but when I go out to special occasions or dates etc, I take the flair car with the carbon seats, it feels much more special, and looks way better
For me it's really the shape of the seat. I just don't fit well in it. My wife has no issues with the seat, although she hates the car overall. It's too much for her and she doesn't let me take her in it most of the time
Bro, and you know why I like Porsches it’s because when there’s a lot of people go to Porsche events there’s tons of people that will fill with a football stadium and I don’t think Corvette or Lamborghini would do something like that. Ah okay! I will give that a try next time I’m in one. Thanks for the tip 😎👍
…yes, it’s a great feature that’s rarely demonstrated in reviews. Was also on the 991.2 Touring
Wow I've never seen people flat shifting during a downshift. I don't think many people know that, not even journalists.

Manual without the wing, perfect spec! Great review!
Thanks a lot!
Can you buy an automatic GT3 touring ?
Yes
Amazing review ❤
Thank you Nosh
Beautiful car, beautiful owner. Anyone who thinks a GT3 is soulless fettles dogs. I've been lucky enough to spend time around that specific car and it is tremendous. Cheers Max!
Biggest reason for me to get the .2 is to be able to get it with backseats. Perfect for shorter trips with the kids.
The perfect car. And a dream to shoot 😍
Thanks, lovely car and review. What is the colour? Dark Olive Green?
Thank you! The colour is actually just black
She´s the one to have for sure. Nice review.
Thanks!

i could never get used to driving on that side of the road.

Great review Max! That car is mega.
Thanks!
The 992.2 has suspension closer to ST right?
Think you’re right
Beautiful Porsche👌
We agree!
Good review as always.
What's your opinion on the 992 gt3rs prices going forward.
Thanks! I think they will continue to depreciate. The car market is starting to correct itself
Thanks for some of that Beautiful engine noise.
Any time!
Stock exhaust ? Tips?
JCR tips
Glad to see Porsche got rid of the fish mouth front intake, overbite on the rear bumper & has real vents now instead of the fake VW vents on the 992.1.
992.2 looks so much better.
I think the turbo S is the better looking car, but if I had the choice I would still pick the GT3!
Hey mate wanted to ask, the 992 GT3 RS sounded a bit loud for my personal liking how would you compare this manual touring’s sound and turbo S’s sound compared to GT3 RS?
Unfortunately I can’t give you an answer due to not driving a 992 GT3 RS, but I’d imagine the RS will have less sound deadening

If you're gonna have a Turbo S as well, might as well have the downforce of the wing car.
The suspension is very different between the 992.1 & the 992.2. Much lower spring rates and better dampers. Not driven the 992.2 yet obviously but the 992.1 GT3 is very unsettled on poor roads.
Love it
omg can't handle all that dust inside triggered my OCD 😵💫🤣
You’ll live
I've always liked Ferrari, better, and I've always respected and liked Porsche .But wow, that Porsche gt3 is a beautiful car .
Trouble is they have been reviewed to death 😮
There’s always room for another
Take your word for it 😂.
Testing 0-60 in the rain… 🤪
Getting one? 😀
I don’t have the money! But if I did - of course

Buy one. Put in garage. Wait 10 years and it will be worth millions

You should drive my 992 GT3 clubsport with full exhaust and headers. Pdk over 560bhp. You don’t need any other car.
That would be awesome!
992.1 is the pinnacle. It's only worse from here on out.
To say a Porsche is going to be worse from here on out is just plain ignorant. 🤡
Wow the torque figures are quite low
It’s naturally aspirated. It’s always going to be lower compared to a turbocharged engine
Take it from an owner. You don't want the bucket seats. I'll be building my 992.2 just because of the seats and overall interior. I really do put miles on my car so I can't stand the buckets

The buckets don't bother me, I did 5k miles across Europe this August with no issues. I am tubby though so maybe my natural padding helps.
For me it's really the shape of the seat. I just don't fit well in it. My wife has no issues with the seat, although she hates the car overall. It's too much for her and she doesn't let me take her in it most of the time

Depressing spec
