Thankyou for sharing this, I know Golders Green well as I attend Marc Bolan's anniversary passing memorial service every Sept. I had the pleasure of meeting Yootha in early 1980, I saw her in a chauffeur driven car in the Marble Arch area whilst on my lunch break. The car stopped behind a bus in the Oxford St traffic near Hyde Park, I walked over and waved to her. She wound down the window and said "Hello dear, how kind of you", I'll never forget that moment. In August of that year on the 24th she passed. A wonderful actress and lovely lady, I've met Brian Murphy at showbiz events and Richard O'Sullivan when he played football for a charity team in 1974, I was just 14! He now lives at Brinsworth House actors care home which is local to me and gave me a signed a photo. I'd like to meet him again one day!
Thank you so much. My mum, my late father and I loved watching Yootha in George and Mildred. She was a beautiful lady gone too soon. When I think of her, I smile. Thank you for the video and showing Yootha's resting place. Much love from Melbourne Australia XX💞🐨💞
@@TravelWithLisaMH from what I've read the carry on stars were supposed to be very good friends, but they're all buried at different cemeteries, Hattie Jacques and joan sims are scattered not far from each other in the same cemetery(not sure, i cant remember which one) and Kenneth Williams and Charles Hawtree are scattered in the same cemetery(not sure which one), frankie howerd is buried i weare Somerset
Great video, well presented and very entertaining, loved Yootha in Man About the House and Gorge and Mildred. What I’d like to know is how no one noticed her alcoholism, she worked with so many people and had many friends.
Yootha we miss you always come back to us you made us laugh with your own Lina's Georgia Mildred Man about the House episode steptoe and son how many more❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ true legendary girl never forgotten about pure goodness at its finest ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I just read a bio about her, her ending was really sad. She began to hate playing Mildred and wanted to scream even seeing the name 'Mildred' on her scripts. Fans persecuted her and Brian so she barely went out, she preferred spending time at home with her pets. She hid her alcoholism well though and was always very professional. A family friend worked at Thames studios and said she was always lovely and showed no sign of any problems. So it's probably difficult to lay blame really, most heavy drinkers you can spot easily but she used her acting skills to hide it I expect.
@@nonnayoubuzinnes1669 still quite sad.. mentally her second persona was in a bad way of which was screaming 😱 for help? Her true self being Low with zero esteem for practically..ST
Oh yes, I remember that show man about the house, the US version was “Three’s company” I’m one who loves Brit-coms 👍 open all hours, keeping up appearances pretty much any before 1995 were great 👍
Great video. One of my favorite actresses as a child and into my adult years, if there's an after life yootha is one person I could happily spend eternity with, she was such a likable person, on TV anyway, didn't know her personally. Shame there's no headstone😢
I was only watching George And Mildred this morning.
A much missed actress.

@RayPhillips6061 Interesting. I guess, though, the families have the final say on where their loved one goes, even though they were friends.
I love this 💗 I love Yootha so much she’s my all time idol and favourite actress
Thank you. She was definitely an underrated actress. So talented 😁
What an actress. God bless her soul.
She was such a lovely soul 🥲

Thank you, David. Alcoholics are very good at hiding it. Those close to her, I guess, had no clue. Thank you for watching, I appreciate it 😊

really enjoyed this thank you lisa.
And yet nobody noticed any difference in her persona or if they did they never gave her a helping hand..?
