In July 2010, Josh and The Royal City Band performed a two-hour show at the Iveagh Gardens - a beautiful park of public gardens - in Dublin, Ireland. This was the first time there have ever been a rock show held there. And this 2 CD/1 DVD set is the result of that show.
..its one of those 'lifetime achievement' songs, he can be very proud of it...
This is so beautiful, just like poetry I get emotional every time I hear it
This song never gets old.
this song makes me happy to be me. Is it popular? No. Is it upbeat? No. Is it illuminating? At best indirectly for those willing to investigate. But is it awesome? Yes! And only you and I, + the other fans know that. That makes us unique. Love you guys. :)
I just saw him in Toronto. This song has never been performed more beautifully. He made them turn the lights waaaaayy down, "like second dynasty Egypt". He has us all mesmerized. I cried immensely. It was too beautiful.
What a song.
this is my new favorite song, a masterpiece in my opinion. It is fantastic live based on this video but the puppet video they made was incredible as well.
The moment where he smiles takes my breath away. 03.37
The realization on that last line... "He hoped that she'd forget that question." Hurts so good.
Beautiful song!!
Among the finest singer/songwriters I've ever witnessed, and I've seen a lot! Stunning performance and song!
I always liked this song until I heard him play it live earlier this year... then I loved it.
Something made me search for this video today. I was at that concert and the timing of the gulls call at 3:28 was perfect. It was a lot louder at the gig than it sounds here and was the reason for the smiling after.
i didnt follow that what happened some seagulls? Sorry i am slow maybe lol
th-cam.com/video/_FGhbSefsGI/w-d-xo.html a little clearer on my video.
Josh makes me happy
Brilliant
A true American treasure. Josh plays The Kent Stage on July 22.
Kent Stage comes through again :)
See ya there!
Esta es una de las mejores canciones jamás escritas. No estaría mal algo de Josh Ritter en La Mosca.
Comparto tu oponión! Es una obra maestra! la "Change of time" es otra maravilla. Uno de los grandes!
If angels sing..... and such a sweet spirit.
Just saw his concert in San Diego last weekend. Was hoping he was going to do this song, but didn't. Amazing performance, though. Loved "Getting ready to get down", "Seeing me 'round" and "Homecoming".

Awesome! We need you to visit Chicago soon, please!
