    • @ChooseAdventureCaliforniaStyle
      @ChooseAdventureCaliforniaStyle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I had my eye out for them. I think out of all the things dangerous on a hike, rattlesnakes scare me the most.

  • @mitziwhitworth4434
    @mitziwhitworth4434 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes, definitely rattlesnake country! About 2 years ago I was hiking along the trail, slightly ahead of where you mentioned “rattlesnake country”, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw a huge (7-8 button) rattle snake strike out towards my ankle, and then quickly retreat back into the rocks. He never even rattled, and thank God did not make contact.
    Thank you for your awesome videos, keep up the great work!

      That sounds terrifying! I'm glad it didn't get you. I think out of all the things in the wild, rattlesnakes scare me the most! I always try and look for them. Sometimes I get tunnel vision while filming and forget to look down 😵‍💫. Thank you very much! That means a lot 😊

    Great video!!!! And great info!! I did not know the percentage of people who visit actually visit hetch hetchy. Their loss!! I am an avid hiker but not a pro video blogger. We hiked hetch hetchy late June 2023. The water falls were amazing and strong!! You don’t see falls like this in Chicago! Again, great video!!!!

    Awesome video Paul, I had to rewind a few times because I missed some info I was laughing so hard 🤣. now I have to go check this place out, another one to add to my list. I say leave the lake! how long does something has to exist to be considered natural? don't get me wrong, a 300 ft waterfall and a raging river would be awesome too, but I love the calmness and stillness of the reservoir.
    Probably one of your best videos to date!

    Anyone know if water is still flowing on falls in late June ?

    • @ChooseAdventureCaliforniaStyle
      @ChooseAdventureCaliforniaStyle  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've read that June is still a good time to see good water flow. Bring lots of water!!! Sunscreen... the granite rocks along the hike reflect the sun and heat. It's very exposed. Though a short hike, this will dehydrate you and expose you to lots of sun/heat. So water water water and of course electrolytes so you can fuel your body back from the sweating. I didn't wear Sunscreen and burned pretty good. This is an amazing adventure!! My favorite waterfall! Hope you have an amazing trip 🤙
