HELL YEAH! One of the most underrated R&B Vocalists ever. Some people are SINGERS but singers of the highest order are VOCALISTS! MICHELE' IS A VOCALIST! With a voice like hers she can sing any GENRE of music! Also, musically speaking. I think this is DR. DRE'S best work as a producer! Great Video! Great Reaction.

Finally! So glad you're reacting to Michel'le. Please check out the official video 'No More Lies' her first hit from 1989! Dr. Dre produced. You should also watch an old interview on Video Soul and hear her actual speaking voice!
You should definitely listen to her song 'Nicety' or 'No More Lies'. Both are more dance songs but still shows off her vocal range and she talks in both as well so you can hear her regular talking voice, such a contrast. Also, added bonus, Dr. Dre is on both of the tracks.
Back when I was in music school I worked part-time at a friends rehearsal studio. Michel'e used to rehearse there and she sounded so good and a real sweet woman. Every now and then Dr Dre showed up to Michel'le's rehearsal. Workin there was great experience while I was in music school.

One interesting thing about Michel'le is that her talking voice is starkly different from her singing voice. No lie, she sounds like a 9 year hold girl when she talks, but (as you heard) when she sings, it is mature and sophisticated. I'm not sure what this scenario is called, but it is common. Singer Al. B. Sure, when he sung he had a high, almost falsetto voice, but when he talked his voice was as deep as Barry White's. Very interesting. I remember, back when both Al B. Sure, and Michel'le first dropped their debut songs (which were both hits), and we all heard them on their first official interviews, it was such a shock to hear how very different their talking voices were.
This whole cassette was good. Used to listen to this all the time. She has a kid with Dr Dre.

She used to date Dr Dre and while that relationship was not a good one, Dr Dre was in his bag when he produced this album for her. It's always surprising to people that he could make such a soft, sensual song.
The strange thing about Michel'le is her actual speaking voice sounds just like a baby talking its the cutest ...Next checkout her No More Lies 🙂

This is one of the BEST R&B performances of the 90's!! Her other hit is very different, a dance floor jam, "No More Lies". She was both discovered and held back by Dr. Dre, when there relationship went bad, he blocked her career after this album.

R&B magical. I am a huge fan of R&B and I have never heard of this artist before. The song is not new to me but she has a very sexy cool power house voice. I love surprises. I worked as a PA on a bio pic about her. Met her on set, she was very sweet and an under rated voice in RnB.
