This definitely sounds reminiscent of the sound style often heard in Konami/Ultra games of the 80's! They always seemed to make the most of the NES's music capability.
That's the beautiful thing bout internet, you can share stuff. And do 8bit remix of copyrighted song without original band bothering you with royalties (sometimes)
