Fourth and finally, Warzone should no longer be free to play, charging $40 or something to play the game would get rid of tons of cheaters, and with a solid anti cheat that functions as it should and bans accounts, no one will be making more accounts to cheat on when they then have to spend $40 for the game on a new account. This is simply my opinion on where I think the game should go, I’d love to hear any other ideas.
Agree 100%! The major map "events" was a big part of the attraction to Warzone. All the stadium changes to Verdansk and the 84 conversion and the tower updates. Super exciting to drop into an area that was completely changed. Caldera was really a fun map, spent a lot of time at Peak, Fields, Airfield, and Mines but I remember all the POI tweaks they made to Peak very well. Al Mazra was a fun map as well with Observatory, Hydro, Rohan, village, and No Name. The Observatory demolition was super fun. Out of all the Big Maps, Urzikstan is the least fun. Not only because they have done zero "events" on the map other than superstore for a brief moment, the map itself doesn't have a centrally located POI like Superstore, Peak, or Observatory. Urzikstan has skyscraper but that's not a large POI like Peak, Observatory, or Superstore where several players/teams can use for battles. Skyscraper is just too small. Old town has one concentrated but it gets old fast. What would be cool is to have a big map rotation by vote. My guess is the most maps played would be Verdansk and Caldera and then eventually the most popular map would be Caldera. The reason is that for some reason, Activision didn't do a good job of recreating the Superstore vibe. The Superstore in Urzikstan seemed smaller with few areas for fighting. It felt like most of the fights were on the roof where the Verdansk Superstore felt much bigger and most of the fighting there was inside. I think Warzone would be a much better game if they would integrate major POI changes with the Season drops.
Warzone makes big mistakes all the time. Like for example what did they do to the load out drops? Cant even interact with load out drops anymore unless im out in the open basically standing right on top of it. And not to mention it doesn’t matter what class i have favorited anymore its never at the top when i open my load out, the favorited load out only matters when the once in a lifetime opportunity for me to open a load out cache is presented. I cant mantle over objets or walls that don’t even stand taller than my chin, my weapons fall through the map when i die and land back on my stuff in desperation, my game lies to me about how much money i have whenever it comes to buying my teammates back, the game will never tell me when there is a precision air strike about to rip me and my team from across the map. This game is so bad and I’m on ps5 so it’s already hard enough to compete against players, even if i am at 120 hz it doesn’t matter because of how inconsistent this garbage is. I can watch the enemy take the same amount of bullets it takes to kill me and laugh in my face, turn around and put LESS shots on me and down me. This game is now completely unbearable and somehow there is still an argument about how they care, yet i still get some of the same glitches from day one of the integration that are still very well apparent. But hey, here is this new unicorn bundle though! 😂😂
FYI - Apparent stealth change pushed today that fixed the Global Camo Mastery calling card, which was previously bugged for me despite having all 3 mastery camos on the 33 base weapons. Wonder what other stealth changes they put in (good or bad)... Love the content Zac. I'm a fellow Coloradan and hope you're having a great start to the New Year. Fingers crossed the game can be in a better state in a few months. Thanks for advocating for the community, rain or shine.
You hit some really amazing points, besides the Halloween events I haven’t seen any type of map updates or live events since Caldera. It’s like they got lazy and said we are just going to drop new Warzone maps and not add any new poi or do something different to the map. I loved the Verdansk story line
One of the funnest times I had was Plunder on Rebirth when we could still shoot from the rip. What happened to Intel challenges or earning skins for your favorite character just by playing them. Why would they make the game LESS fun? Unreal
I agree with everything you said… plus it feels like the small maps have become first class citizens when it comes to updates and enhancements… while big map just gets stale. Even bringing back Verdansk will be fun for a bit…. But, again, more of the same and I can see it get boring fast.
Actually IW did the same thing in MWII WZ2, but in DMZ. It has some lore behind the maps along with these little missions that even affect your progression directly now
Yea they even use to make changes on rebirth island as well. Control use to be be way different it was like 2 different small buildings, living quarters didn’t exist, the ship outside of control center didn’t exist or outside of nova, and u also couldn’t go in the water!
Honestly I think what made wz1 and verdansk so much better was the simplicity. They overdo it with the events and skins etc just bring back good gun camos and simpler game play
funny to see how mw 2019 warzone had lots of map updates and then mw2 warzone had a few map updates as well but barely anything happens when the other devs are on the main game
When i watch wz1 mw19 gameplay it always reminds me why i don't buy a skin or bundle in wz2 anymore. I mean like the guns and animations looking so much better pleasing to the eye in wz1 the colors the reflections textures reload animations everything. In wz2 and especially bo6 i don't care what gun or skin i have it looks all awful to me . The mw2 and couple mw3 guns in wz2 had some good looking skins but still would't pay for them maybe if some really really outstanding skin comes out. Don't see that for bo6 skins looks all so cheap to me. Also the fact i can't change weapon attachments skins anymore is really annoying bad. I still remember skins for wz1 but not really for wz2 they are boring and terrible looking.
@@x_mac3_xwayne785 no it wasent the map was fine the placement of the pois were the issue , blackout map all time worst cod br map random poi and then nothingness for miles till another random poi then more desert

I think they rested on their laurels and got lost on the way trying to reinvent the wheel. Verdansk was fun, but it did have some bumps and bruises along the way that got fixed (vehicles, the grau being OP meta, the C4 distance throw to counter vehicles) but it was simpler. I liked the dynamic maps and they didn't really take things away to add new things. It also felt more communicated (we are changing ground loot this week) and it just felt better. I didn't feel like I was getting shot around corners as much or that someone could lazer me at 60 meters with a 100 round M4 or getting 1 shot killed while free falling at 100mph. Something just felt better about a win back then compared to a win now. The game being harder to land shots made it more rewarding when you won, but also made it so that you could escape someone that camped a building to pick you off in a field.
Good old days playing blackout. Wish someone would buy the map and bring it back but to play in a Resurgence with self revive, buy stations, mesh mines, grapple gun, kool vehicles and actually earning kool characters. Awesome.
I feel that other than grinding camos there is no reason to play plunder I remember there was blueprints you get for doing Easter eggs in verdansk you open bunker 13 after doing the codes there was stuff other than just hunting kills it was fun
Well said, you really did bring back some memories of how alive and ever evolving Blackout and verdansk were. Caldera and Al Mazra had a few changes that were decent, but Urkistan has been worthless, only thing i can remember was super store, which is gone, and some stupid green shit on the ground, of and a couple bunkers opened up
My theory is that Warzone got too big and began siphoning too many players from the premium product that they intentionally started killing WZ slowly. They have stated they never expected it to succeed and when it did and they saw the player base only use the premium product as a weapon leveler they got salty and started killing it season by season and turned it into the casino style gameplay it is now with MTX being the only focus.
The live events they did in warzone during mw19, Cold War, and vanguard were awesome and enjoyable. Those events brought in more players and attention to warzone. But I know warzone for bo6 is still new, I’m just hoping they add those live events into it, we can only hope for that in the near future especially with how distraught the trust between devs and players have torn. We’ll just have to take it like a grain of salt.
This. This is a video I’d watch again for the sheer fact of information long since forgotten. The game used to be so great. An I understand the need to evolve and try new and risky things for the sake of growth. But this game is virtually unplayable and for the og’s that’s the saddest part of all this. But knowledge is power and this game despite all its flaws does still have an ever growing player base of new and ignorant users unaware of just how bad it’s truly become. Hopefully videos like this offer clarity and context for them the new players. As for the og’s at the very least a call back of nostalgia that really hits home and makes you realize how good we actually had it back then
You’re completely right and as of right now Warzone is non existent with these current maps especially because resurgence is not actually Warzone hopefully it’s not too late by the time they actually start trying
I know covid had a huge impact in the player numbers but at the same time i think warzone at launch just felt so smooth and fun aswell from the movement to the gunplay. Map updates felt like they had a real impact like the train, stadium, train station opening and the Subway's. For me when superstore was brought back it just didnt feel like it changed much maybe just because of how many buildings urzikstan has. I hope they remove a lot of the extra stuff theyve added since season 1 like gulag entry kits, redeploy flares, respawn tokens. Make the Battle Royale more tense and make it more tense trying to get to a buy station 😂 love the cobtent bud 👍
the issue is activison/cod doesnt do updates/dlc they do new games so warzone maps update with new games. warzone needs to be its own thing it needs to start with verdansk as a base map and be expanded and changed over time instead of taking away things they should build upon add a section of map to be a jungle area for like caldera etc
MW 2019 and Warzone 2019 was overall a much better game. The lighting was better, the audio was better, the movement was better, the guns felt better. The servers were better, the cheating wasn’t nearly as bad. Even at the height of calderas cheating it wasn’t this bad. I think the closest we’ve come was MW3 warzone in the final two or three seasons. Warzone before BO6 integration was pretty darn good overall.
With the Map evolving Thing. I Loved MW 3 Warzone Season 4 so much because of that. We got that cutscene Thing and Urzikstan Changed. Or Season 5 with the Return of Valerie and the Launch of Super Store. And even Season 1 and 2 of warzone 3 where the Story was fight8ng of Konnie and makarov getting them Out of Urzikstan and Fortunes keep.
I've been going back and watching old Verdansk gameplays vs anything new. I am curious if this is a trend among others who have fallen off the new content.
You know I may be wrong about this but I remember warzone mw2019 days… you could use any gun for the most part and be successful. I miss that. The meta bs is annoying, and no lore like you said. Man we had it good before activision took it away from us
It is that same old paradox: 'Give us something similar but different. Make the game different but similar.' For the love of all that is holy, stop reminiscing about that point in CoD where they happened to have a global pandemic that caused everyone to be shuttered indoors for a year fall into their collective laps at the right moment. It's never going to happen again.
haven't played warzone in weeks, feels great. Went back to Multi ranked, that got stale. Now im playing Marvel Rivals waiting for Delta force to have controller support lol
Thanks for this, it has reminded me of features I forgot they had in warzone 1. Yeah man I really miss it now, I don't care that the game used to be a terrible mix of elements that made it what it was. It was that love they put into the community that shined through, what happened to their love and listened to the community.. where'd the core warzone 1 passion to make a enjoyable game go? Very sad, we need a time machine. Lol. It's sad especially that after all these years we've been missing the old warzone 1, it says a lot to what it did to the cod community, the fact that they thought they could go back to the classic style of making games every year and focusing on the things we used to like, but yet you can ask anyone and they enjoy zombies etc, but warzone 1 and what it did to the community was just too big to massive of a change that the fact we go back to wishing we had that, I'd say I hear that more than people saying they want black ops 2 back, says a lot!
just imagine warzone now with improved wz1 lighting and all operators, maps, weapons, skins from wz1 with omni movement that would be best battle royale game now but no they decide to remove all stuff to force people buy everything again but.... no one is playing game right now i hope it get worse to they start make good decisions
They should just terminate this game and dust off Warzone 1, update it a bit and we're good to go. I just played a game of plunder, the loadout I just made changed to completely something else ingame. The movement is currently so slow, without getting hit and with 120 fov it just feels like 80 fov sooooo slow. When going from walking to tactical sprint I end up in doing a dolphin dive, which isn't even activated! I pick up a vest to carry more ammo, I can't collect extra ammo whilst I'm stuck on 90 bullets in total. And during the last couple of minutes there was gas closing the final circle, it was in plunder and not BR. Even the time of the squid game event is changing from 2 days yesterday it's now back to 3 days.
Warzone was better back then because there was no new warzone to compare it too. Things were fresh. Maps were fresh(again nothing to compare them too). We have years of better or worse to compare it to now
WARZONE Did a lot right back in WARZONE 1, and for whatever reason, they just... went away from it as the years went by. Hope they start being back some of what made WZ1 feel so unique! Thanks for watching!

Being able to switch from Blackout to WZ1 was peak battle royal play
WZ1 Straight up looks BETTER, I HATE Absolutely HATE That TAA (Temporal Anti-Aliasing) has been on By Default since WZ2 in 2022
Warzone makes big mistakes all the time. 😂😂
Those intel videos were how I found your channel. Shocked they stopped doing those. We’re so fun.
ahh you're a legend
100% agree! I used to get excited for the trailer to see what changed on the map. I’m a plunder guy but miss modes like Rumble/ Clash and King Slayer.
The whole Warzone is a big mistake lol. Hey hi how you doing
Does anyone have a clue why they took away the Spectator count?
No clue :(
One of the funnest times I had was Plunder on Rebirth when we could still shoot from the rip. What happened to Intel challenges or earning skins for your favorite character just by playing them. Why would they make the game LESS fun? Unreal
This whole video and gameplay makes me more excited then actually playing now. The devs need to see this one man and bring back the fun crazy twists.
I’m glad someone said this cuz I’ve felt this way since Al-Mazriah
Activision, Treyarch, Sledgehammer and Raven NEED to see this video… so sad how far Warzone has fallen
Remember in game events? That helped keep the game feeling fresh..
It has some lore behind the maps along with these little missions that even affect your progression directly now
yup, just had a different feel for it when the mode was built around it, rather than built into it
@WhosImmortal can't argue with that
Yea they even use to make changes on rebirth island as well. Control use to be be way different it was like 2 different small buildings, living quarters didn’t exist, the ship outside of control center didn’t exist or outside of nova, and u also couldn’t go in the water!
The only problem is that it's not a stand alone game. Every new version the game needs to be made from scratch.
Honestly I think what made wz1 and verdansk so much better was the simplicity. They overdo it with the events and skins etc just bring back good gun camos and simpler game play
Oh and fun sniping!
funny to see how mw 2019 warzone had lots of map updates and then mw2 warzone had a few map updates as well but barely anything happens when the other devs are on the main game
Caldera era was still great but lets not forget the laughable ground loot builds when caldera dropped mp40 with a 8x sniper scope anybody?
😂
Caldera was the worse map of them all imo
@@x_mac3_xwayne785 no it wasent the map was fine the placement of the pois were the issue , blackout map all time worst cod br map random poi and then nothingness for miles till another random poi then more desert
@@x_mac3_xwayne785 caldera was fun played well with all the different games weaponry and had the best big map ltms of all time champion of caldera and titanium trials , plunder was better on caldera than it was on verdansk
Game was way better back then
I think they rested on their laurels and got lost on the way trying to reinvent the wheel.
Caldera and Al Mazra had a few changes that were decent, but Urkistan has been worthless, only thing i can remember was super store, which is gone, and some stupid green shit on the ground, of and a couple bunkers opened up
Game is super stagnant right now. I feel this is the first time we went a whole season without a meta change ? Its crazy what a let down
My theory is that Warzone got too big and began siphoning too many players from the premium product that they intentionally started killing WZ slowly.
They should’ve just gave us Avalon because right now the Season cinematic trailers keep mentioning it and we’re not even playing on it
As for the og’s at the very least a call back of nostalgia that really hits home and makes you realize how good we actually had it back then
Not a single thing in Warzone is better now than it was 4 years ago.
The fact they still ain’t brought back verdansk is crazy. They just money whoring at this point.
If they just got rid of the strict SBMM players would flock back but their too stubborn to realize that
5:50 yes, the intel missions were awesome and different than the other games!!!
loved em, genuinely always looked forward to them releasing new missions
Worst mistake is going to be on jan 28th when they fail to deliver on the anticheat , game will be overrrr
They even added a cool POI and then removed and and put back the literal nothing back in it's place..
verdansk was great, caldera was good, should have been followed by al mazrah on that engine
You’re completely right and as of right now Warzone is non existent with these current maps especially because resurgence is not actually Warzone hopefully it’s not too late by the time they actually start trying
Should've let us keep all previous skins purchased. Including all the ones from warzone 1!
Look how much better the game looked!? How have the graphics gotten so much worse?
Battlefield should take note of this video for their upcoming BR…
very excited to see what they do
I've been going back and watching old Verdansk gameplays vs anything new. I am curious if this is a trend among others who have fallen off the new content.
We should expect it not be the same
You know I may be wrong about this but I remember warzone mw2019 days… you could use any gun for the most part and be successful. I miss that. The meta bs is annoying, and no lore like you said. Man we had it good before activision took it away from us
It is that same old paradox:
'Give us something similar but different.
Make the game different but similar.'
For the love of all that is holy, stop reminiscing about that point in CoD where they happened to have a global pandemic that caused everyone to be shuttered indoors for a year fall into their collective laps at the right moment. It's never going to happen again.
They should bring back mw2019 audio to bo6 as a trial run and if the community likes it keep it in the game
haven't played warzone in weeks, feels great.
I think the stuff fans were asking for got out of hand and the devs capitalized on that
RIP COD, I really miss the good times of Warzone.... Time to move on and let the past go b/c Activision won't give the community what we want.
just imagine warzone now with improved wz1 lighting and all operators, maps, weapons, skins from wz1 with omni movement that would be best battle royale game now
but no they decide to remove all stuff to force people buy everything again but.... no one is playing game right now i hope it get worse to they start make good decisions
We have years of better or worse to compare it to now
Nerfed the xm4 twice, still not enough
I stopped playing around 5 months ago, but I didn’t miss any of your videos!!
At this point, I’ll take Warzone on Caldera any day
