I think everyone should spend a week, a month or even a year living off the grid. My time was 1989. Most of my friends were homeless and yet attending college. I couldn't get that high up. I was amazed they were in college.
You sure bout that cozenedd? That was fuckin' awesome man!!! I love the trio thing (I'm kinda partial, got a similar kinda trio and also do the solo thing). He's definitely a force by himself, true, but that was great!! I think the band lived up to the Seasick Steve standard of beautifully dirty excellence. Holler. - peace fo'real, Sidestreet Reny
robmiles, its a basic blues progression built around an e soi fuck about with the chord notes themselves or an e blues scale (minor pentatonic plus some chromatic notes) . You'll get it pretty quick, its more feel tan technique as RamFT says.
@disgruntledgrrl Amen to that ! I quit this country (UK) for 'the road' in 1982, spent an age wandering round Europe, busking, begging, fruit picking etc. I'm a married man with offspring and a mortgaged property now, but what would I give to be sitting at a crossroads in the warm sun, flipping a coin, trying to make up my mind....
@almcg2 listen to the album Fat Possum, starting from R.L. Burnside, Juniour Kimbrough, T-Model Ford, Aise Patton and many more are the real thing. Seasick Steve sings about jumping on freight trains but he actually hasn't seen one of them for decades. As already happened in the sixties, white men are cashing on the music of black men, forgotten in a Porch in Greenville, Mississippi.
Talking about the great black bluesman that I love, for the most part they played the best guitars at the time. Seasick Steve no doubt plays the worst guitars ever built but this dude has killer tone like no one else. Love him

@Butcherguitars HAHAHAHA..... I've been following Steve for a few years. This is the way he's always been and it ain't no gimmick son. He's about as real as you can get. Lived the way most of our old school blues legends did.... only even more down low. Dig it and get the message or move back to Disneyland with the rest of the sociopathic nut cases that are the majority these days.

Nobodys owns the blues, jazz, rock or country or what ever. Everybody has right to play what ever they want. I love Seasick Steve, he´s white, so what? I also love John Lee Hooker, Muddy, Jimmy Reed.... Come on guys. If you dont like Seasick Steve, stay away and let us enjoy, right? Different strokes for different folks.
