The last big draught in the U.S. was in the mid to late 1990s. I was driving tractor trailer then. I was delivering Ontario hay to horse race tracks and breeders through out the U.S. (i.e. the race track in New Jersey) for over 100 dollars per 50 pound bale of hay. You can imagine what that would cost today.
Glad to hear that you try to use whatever is available when building a new structure ; it saves on the cost .........but better yet it keeps things out of land fills . ( Yes , I know metal can be sold for scrap and recycled ) . The old metal siding will still serve the purpose and can always be updated when the budget allows if desired or necessary . '' Waste not , want not is a good old adage '' that many people do not employ because they are just much too concerned with appearance of a new structure and I find that needlessly wasteful . Kudos for the family of A Stable Life !!! Thank you Joel for another good video as you take us along on your day's work and I hope the Chinese food was delicious - ENJOY !!!

Hello Don & Jonathan and Leah & Melissa love your horse. Your mom tried to get Leah out of mud then she got stuck in mud your dad had to put her out and saved her shoe as well .
You should put a camera that runs 24/7 "Donkeycam" and let people watch it. "Pond Shade" is a blue dye you can put in your pond at it kills algae be stopping the light from allowing it to grow. I thought of that when I saw all that green in your little pond. Poor Joel can't even go eat lunch and his parents are getting into trouble!!

I'm a new subscriber and just nearly finished binge watching Veggie Boys and now I'm working my way through yours. I go back and forth between the 2 channels lol. Weather is my favourite horse. They're all gorgeous but Weather reminds me of me because we both move slow (I have disabilities/chronic pain) and we both just carry on paying no attention to anything or anyone. He's more steady on his feet than I am though. I can really relate to him. Whenever I see Buster, I am always waiting to hear Eddy Murphy start talking for him lol I do have a question though - Being that you care for others horses and are with them all the time, do the horses know their owners when they come by and do the horses act differently like maybe a bit excited?

I am brand new to this channel and have been watching veggie boys for a little while. I thought you and Andrew were brothers. Is there a video that straightens all the family connections out. That would be interesting and also it would be so nice to see a drone video of how the farms, stables etc. are connected to each other.
Something I’ve noticed in my area is only the horse the food and the water is in the stall all that goes with them in there stall. I can imagine some of the horses that I know chewing on things that they shouldn’t just a difference in the area I love watching your channel.
