@@TheVoltrom I've only heard MOTBQ a couple of times, so this is perhaps subject to change, but... IMO BR is a catchier song, as this one has so many change-ups that I have a hard time following it. BR has several, but each section has its own catchiness and the overall flow is smoother. I enjoy listening more due to that. That being said, I definitely hear "pre-echoes" of BR in this one, just like I hear echoes of BR in "Somebody to Love", and this song is certainly a powerful display of the strength of Queen both as a band and as individual musicians.
The older stuff is the best!!! A cool little song by Roger is "Tenement Funster" off of the Sheer Heart Attack album. He writes and sings the lead vocals on this one. This whole side black of Queen II that includes this song is crazy good. Haven’t heard much of it in 30 years. March of the Black Queen is fucking EPIC. Glad I ran across this one. Cheers 🤘
Hillarious! This is Queen at their finest ever. Bohemian Rhapsody was just a natural development from songs like this one, Fairy teller etc. Amazing. I hope you enjoyed it!! One of my favourite. I still remember the first time I heard it. Priceless! I wish I had been alive when Queen II came out!!
I love the Millionaires Waltz, 39, , Seaside Rendevous, and The Invisible Man - the last two are fun songs. I have a pendant almost identical to the one you are wearing,
My favourite Queen song, so complicated that Queen usually only played part of it in a medley. It finishes so sharply because it goes straight into the next song. The vocals on the line "I'll fo and I'll fie" are by Roger
I love that song. Its amazing that an entire song can be made describing all the nuances of what is happening within a painting and the song still sound amazing, and tell an actual story.
This, along with Bohemian Rhapsody, Prophets Song and Innuendo are the bands finest works IMO, and Black Queen is my personal favourite. Brilliantly crafted and performed music. When Queen 'progged out' they executed all those clever twists and turns like musical gymnasts; always perfectly natural, never contrived.
We all know how awesome Freddie, roger and Brian are. But we always overlook John. He plays tight (maybe not flamboyant) bass to every musical movement type thrown at him - plus he has arguably two of the most recognisable bass lines (right up there with Money, brick in the wall) in Under Pressure and Another one bites the dust. Watch him live playing Dragon attack (a seriously underrated piece of funk) live at Montreal (81?) it’s about about as close to letting loose you’ll ever see him - and let’s not forget he built the Deacy amp for Brian (watch a you tube tear down on this one - awesome)
Good man! Not just listening to the “hits”. With Queen you have to put on your swim cap and flippers and DIVE IN to the depths to find the hidden gems that never hit the charts. That’s where you are going to find the soul of Queen... keep going with your channel. You’re doing a great job!
I love this track so much -- fine '70s prog with touches of glam. For a taste of Brian May's songwriting and vocals, you can't do better than '39, his sci-fi folk rock tune.
Dude you should listen to Queen II - the whole album from start to finish. Every song is perfectly complimenting each other. Everyone talks about what a masterpiece A Night At The Opera is - and it is - but Queen II is sonically on another level. Easily the most outrageous and experimental album of their entire career.
Check out some of the older songs Brian sings. 39, Good Company (he creates an entire Dixieland jazz band from guitar overdubs), All Dead, She Makes Me (Stormtroopers in Stilettoes). Leaving Home Ain't Easy is a gorgeous tearjerker.

After getting over my disappointment of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' not being on 'Queen II' I fell in love with it. Although on my first listen I really liked how they start this album with 'Procession' which blends into 'Father To Son.' My favorite song on 'Queen II' is 'The March Of The Black Queen.' It sounds like Freddie's first attempt at writing a song like 'Bohemian Rhapsody.' 'Queen II' and Queen's first self-titled album are my favorite Queen releases. I love how completely different they sound. I think 'Queen' is Queen's best hard rock release and 'Queen II' is the birth of the undefinable rock band that is Queen. And the thing about the ending of the song? Oh yeah, on the album, that ending was it shifting into a totally different song, you just have to hear the album to hear this song shift into the next song on the album.
Queen 1 & Queen 2 are really difficult to listen to as isolated tracks as they were written as complete pieces of music where the tracks naturally flowed into each other. Unfortunately that’s very rare or none existent these days in the age of digital downloads... ☹️

Hey Andy - love your Queen takes. BTW I’m a huge pink Floyd fan (fave song probably echoes) You and your bud seem to genuinely love good music - and love what I love about their music - it’s all different ! Most of them tend to have more melodies in one song that many bands have on entire albums. Their lyrics are usually clever - and often they’ll play little trills that enhance the lyrics - eg the cymbals in Bohap Rhapsody when he says shiver down my spine - or the trumpet herald sound on Brian’s guitar in White Queen. If you were going to do a few Queen songs - I’d say White Queen live at the Odeon - Its late off news of the world, doin’ alright, drowse and tenement funster (roger singing), and obviously Under Pressure
Queen added so many layers to this album ( Queen II )... that the tape ,which should be brown, actually went transparent and physically couldn't handle any more layers. By the way...this album should ALWAYS be listened to with headphones on. The Stereo on it is astonishing.
celt67 Oh for sure, I made sure I got a realllly nice headset for the songs you guys request! And yes the amount of layers is astonishing! It takes talent to have so much going on in a song and it not sounding “over produced”, truly a talented bunch! 🔥😁
A great reaction, and the song is just masterful! :) I've got a little odd suggestion for you. Listening to "The fairy fellers master stroke" from the same album, while checking out the painting that inspired Freddie to write the song for the details.
In this song, He endears the Black Spider Queen - the Tiamat / Kali / Lilith energy of the Universe - to show compassion and recognize what love is. It is absolutely marvelous.
Listen to lap-of-the-gods from the sheer Heart Attack album. You will hear the most Heavenly guitar tone and infinite sustain that you will ever hear in your life. Half the time I think the guitar is feeding back or just resonating on its own but it's like Brian May has total control of his sound. There's a reason why Steve Vai said Brian May is just walking on Higher Ground.
Love it! So glad you reacted to this song. As I have said on your previous Queen reactions... Still waiting for that poster/banner to arrive on that wall behind you! Ha! They will continue to blow you away. The Prophet's Song - Queen's most epic song from the same album as Bohemian Rhapsody. The Millionaires Waltz - Another original epic song. Diversity diversity diversity. Stone Cold Crazy - One of heavy metal/speed metals pioneer songs. Dead on Time - Relatively unknown Queen song. Hence one of their most underrated. This list could easily be 50 songs deep. And not a single one of them would be weak. Queen's catalog of music is unprecedented imo.
The ending of what you listened to was he start of the song 'Funny How Love Is' one of their finest, they blended one into the next on that album. You have to listen to Funny...it is such a trip.
I’ve just been re going over all your old Queen reactions. Man you definitely need to get back into more Queen stuff or maybe revisiting some of these songs with Alex. You definitely went on a journey when you discovered Queen. I kind of miss these reactions.

Used to play this on my old stylus player through 1 speaker only..then again through the other so you only hear 2 as it was recorded in and for stereo ❤❤
On the Queen II album they used a lot of material they couldn't fit on the Original Queen album. March of the Black Queen is the answer to White Queen (which was written in 1968 by Brian May while still with Smile). It is said that this is where Freddie got the idea of naming the Band Queen.
Great to see someone appreciating this awesome song! Definitely Prophets Song if you want another journey :) Doing Alright from Queen I is another awesome tune! Or it you want a bit if a treat Sheer Heart Attack has a wonderful song trio of Tenement Funster/Flick of the Wrist/Lily of the Valley. Enjoy!

@@HammerHed13 Close but Son & Daughter from Queen I is their heaviest song :)
Sheer heart attack is guys, lmao tf y'all saying
And the thing about the ending of the song? Oh yeah, on the album, that ending was it shifting into a totally different song, you just have to hear the album to hear this song shift into the next song on the album.
...which happens to be my favorite track on the album.
Yo I love song shifts in albums...what’s the next song?! 🔥😁
@@andyandalex "Funny How Love Is"
The Applesauce Project
Thank you! 😁🔥
Soooo amazingly unique....omg...yeah so many layers...hear it over over again...wanna see this live any concert vids?...
Queen 1 & Queen 2 are really difficult to listen to as isolated tracks as they were written as complete pieces of music where the tracks naturally flowed into each other. Unfortunately that’s very rare or none existent these days in the age of digital downloads... ☹️
The Prophet's Song from A Night at the Opera
Next thursday?
Oh yes please
Haha, we’ll see...! 🤪🔥

Haha, for sure! 😁
Andy & Alex Oh yes that is amazing
Long Away- A Day at the Races written by Brian May
Great reactions and certainly no regrets. I told you it was really worth it's weight in gold. Unique as to Everything Queen does. Now keep going. your really good dude.
Holly Bischoff
Yeah you guys haven’t let me down yet! Every song has been its own masterpiece, I’m really glad you and many others are enjoying the reactions, the interactions I’ve had with you guys are awesome, can’t wait to post next week’s video! 😁
My first copy of Queen II was on 8 track. I remember it switched tracks right when your reaction video is at the 2:54 mark. LOL
Right in the middle of that amazing guitar solo? That is just wrong!
The Stereo on it is astonishing.
celt67
Oh for sure, I made sure I got a realllly nice headset for the songs you guys request! And yes the amount of layers is astonishing! It takes talent to have so much going on in a song and it not sounding “over produced”, truly a talented bunch! 🔥😁
Gotta do "Great King Rat" from the 1st album for some serious shredding by Brian May. An excellent tune all around.
It WASN'T over yet. Got to Continue listening to the next song that follows
A great reaction, and the song is just masterful! :)
I've got a little odd suggestion for you. Listening to "The fairy fellers master stroke" from the same album, while checking out the painting that inspired Freddie to write the song for the details.
6:46.. "Take a breath".. Song is over. 6.48... oh wait...... XD
Lol
in case you hadn't noticed.. at 5.17 the line, my life is in your hands, i'll foe and i'll fie.. are sung by roger taylor... :-)
Dark_Helmut
Haha!! The prophet song is coming soon! And yeah my list for Queen is like 60 songs deep 😂🔥
Andy Queen live at the Rainbow is where you can hear these songs live and raw. I havent heard the album versions of these songs. Very cool.
En mi mejor inglés...esta canción te vuela la raja...traspasa los sentidos...es ESPECTACULAR
Pablo Andres Rodriguez Riveros
Gracias señor! 😁🔥
Intro and vid two amazing songs. The ending of this song is legendary
Was it all worth it..is a epic Underrated song v
From the miracle😊 good reaction 😁
I just love how that ending catches people!
Overall I think Queen II is their best album.
This album was the soundtrack of every D&D game we played back in the day ...
My favorite album after 40 plus years is still QUEEN II. Nice to see your reaction to March. If you find anything like it please let me know. Top shelf shreading !!
i am so happy ur generation listen QUEEN
"The March of the Black Queen is the prequel to Bohemian Rhapsody and "Innuendo" is the sequel. Please do a reaction video to Innuendo. Once you listen to this album your life will change forever
TiggyStardust
That sounds really awesome, I’ll have to do it soon, thanks! 😁🔥
Tom Crawford
That’s wild! Thanks for sharing!
love this song ths is one of my favorite list 😍😍😍
You need to listen to this go into the next track on the album Funny How Love Is
Great reaction,.....Part of this song is used in Final Fantasy V111...Queen is everywhere
Should have waited until the album Queen II because it morphes into the next song.
Funny How Love is
Fucking love this song!!!!
That's what they do Freddie Brian Roger and John there will never be anything quite like them again I saw them in 1977 so I know.....
queens early stuff was way more experimental than their later stuff.. and better.. imo
Enjoy!

Thanks for the tips, have a great night! 😁🔥
I’ve only just realized I hadn’t subscribed to you after following your videos for ages. Subbed now for sure! Pink Floyd and Queen: you sure have EXCELLENT taste in music!
Haha thank you very much!
You do the best reaction videos 👍🏼. I think it’s the fact that you don’t even need to say anything, you can just totally read your facial reactions to know what effect the songs having on you. Great stuff. Keep em coming mate 😀.

I don't know what that photo is, but It sure isn't them. I think you downloaded the wrong photo.
The Black Queen
Damn I’m sorry, I just went on google and typed in “March of the Black Queen” and picked a picture that would look good scaled down, my bad! 🤷🏻♀️
That's what threw me off lol
.......Yeah, that's definitely not them.
@@andyandalex I was wondering about that photo! lol
Glam meets Prog. Friggin amazing album. Really best heard together, as it tells a story.
This album is excellent, their lesser known stuff, have you done The fairy feller’s master stroke/Nevermore? You HAVE to, also The prophet’s song from A night at the opera
My first time hearing this song. Amazing. Wow. And I thought I knew Queen.
Another Queen song for you........ In The Lap Of The Gods....Live at the Hammersmith Odeon.... Christmas Eve 1975
You missed out on the end of the song sort of. On Queen II, Side Black, side 2, this song when it fades at the end goes into "Funny How Love Is" as a kind of continuation to close out this song.
Great reaction! please react to The Prophet Song, it's similar to Bohemian Rhapsody
Robin Blackmore
Many others have suggested that, I’ll have to do it soon! 🔥😁
