Stop right there. It is God's genius working through His Creation, His redemptive regeneration to convert a sinful man to dedicate his own life and purpose to the Glory of God.

Amen. I also think protestantism needs more focus on beauty and anesthetics. God is in beauty as long as it glorifies Him

Great sermon, thanks for posting. Can anyone explain, when the unbeliever does acts of civic virtue out of his own humanitarian values, what is the source of those values?

I think the motive varies, but a lot of times, it is out of pride. They want to point to their own accomplishment as a display of their goodness.

They want ppl to admire them. If everyone hates them regardless and no one appreciates their good works, it’s very possible that they’d drop the act

IMO, we were created in GODS' image and HE instilled HIS laws in us. Some people just ignore them.

Why are you focusing on his clothes?
Are you listening to the truth to change your heart of are you lusting after God's servant?
      Check your heart and REPENT!

Going into a roman catholic church is going into Satan's castle.

Attending a service there, sure. But aside from the statues/idolatrous aspect, the buildings themselves can be beautiful.

The Church is God's people not any building. Too me those massive cathedrals are a waste of money that could have been given to the poor.

@@Yesica1993 Amen. When God’s people are truly walking with God they’ll sell the clothes on their backs for a worship hall that attempts to reflect the Glory we have seen on the cross in the face of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This manner of speaking that this person spouted out without proper thought starkly reminded me of Judas when he was complaining of the expensive bottle of oil that the woman broke to pour on Jesus’s head to anoint him saying the same thing - the money could’ve been given to the poor. In other words what he meant was “they could’ve given the money to me and my poor and unending appetite”

@@_JesusIsLord_ I think there must be a balance. Of course there's always a danger of having the outward beautiful surroundings and still not have the inward heart of worship. After all, even other religions can have buildings that are beautiful. I've worshiped in pretty church buildings, but also in schools, even union halls. And, of course, our brothers and sisters around the world and down through history have worshiped in all sorts of places, from prisons and dungeons to concentration camps.
The heart and inward attitude of worship is the most important thing.
That said, I do think some strands of Christianity have gone to the other extreme. Now we have the attitude that a beautiful building not only doesn't matter, but that it's somehow wrong. That is not what we see in Scripture.

Many churches were built in a manner, before sound systems were invented, to provide the preacher acoustics so that he could be heard from the front to the back of the sanctuary.
