I wish I had found Claire sooner. I am on my last year of Adult Nursing and I can see how Claire videos will help me achieve higher grades. Thank you for that. 😊

Who would have thought that being rubbish at talking about my feelings would cause problems in an essay?!! 😊 Any thoughts on this part specifically?
It can be so hard to talk openly about how we feel. But try and stand in the middle and look from the outside. How would you explain these feelings if this was your friend / family feeling them? If that makes sense. Also, you don’t need to go into great depth with the feelings, just more awareness of how you felt at that time; nervous, scared, excited etc. It’s all completely normal to feel that. It’s about recognising them, and doing something to help yourself overcome it. What would you do differently next time as a result of this happening etc. Xx

Our module is titled developing professional practice and unfortunately, due to Covid we have been unable to secure a face to face placement. I undertook a course on post natal depression however, I am struggling to reflect on this. Thank you so much
You could reflect on the challenges of doing an online course instead of face to face maybe? What you’ve learnt and how you can use this in future? Then link it back to professional practice and CPD as a nurse when you qualify 🥰 xx
I was told in feedback from a previous essay not to reference trust policies and procedures as it's a confidentiality breach. You've mentioned them though, how did you use them in essays?
If trust policies and guidelines are publicly available you can absolutely use them. It’s when they are locked down and confidential to that particular ward you can’t use them. But if you find it online at home on your laptop, you’re good to go. We HAD to include these for one of our assignments where we had to find a trust and government policy to critically analyse :) x

hi, im a first year student about to write a reflection about my self with feedback that has been given to me by service users and by my practice placement supervisor. Use a reflective cycle to help structure it :) Maybe highlight key words on the feedback? Ask yourself what does that mean to you? How it was relevant to your skills and what you did at that time. How you can keep up the good work to improve in future. Or any changes that needs to be done to enhance knowledge? If that makes sense haha. Literally google ‘student nurse’ and whatever keyword you highlight and it should bring up some sort of references to use :) xx
There’s loads on student nurses training and burn out etc. You can add your reflection sentence and then say ‘and this is what research has shown by smith (2020) etc… so link them together. I hope that makes sense haha x

Guys just a heads up... at my uni sources such as The Nursing Times, Royal College of Nursing or any student nurse forums would not be regarded as academic sources and we would get marked down considerably if used.
Different unis do different things that’s why it’s always better to check your own guide lines etc. For reflections this is acceptable to use these resources. But for assignments / dissertation is better to use proper journals, research papers etc :)

Morning :) So what it’s asking (I think) think about patients you care for and what could be done better? Is there anything you’ve noticed that could be changed to improve patient care? Could be something really small :) once you’ve found something then use a reflection template to go through it. The last part of the reflection will be how you’ll change your own practice as a nurse in future to help patients. If that makes sense ☺️ xx
