The town where I grew up Guanica is so beautiful, Guanica has the best beaches in all of Puerto Rico and my neighborhood Ensenada in Guanica how I miss it. Thank you for visiting my town.
I used to live in Guanica just before returning to the mainland U.S. I used to pass by that resort on the way to Tamarindo Beach. I really miss Guanica and its people. Thanks for uploading this video! I love your channel. It makes me "homesick."
Thanks Jen,for showing my town to the world. There are also some other beaches there ,especially in Ensenada like Playa Santa,La Jungla, and also Punta Ballena.I will return soon next month to enjoy my beaches.
@@JenThereDoneThat Yess.👌 whenever you go take a swimsuit with you because you will find some amazing secluded beaches , also sunblock and water its a must.
Yes, they have made great repairs on the south coast after the earthquakes, there is still more repair work closer to the mountains. Here is my recent scuba video! th-cam.com/video/kq63kQ75LKc/w-d-xo.html
Oh, how I miss PR. Been to Copamarina several times. The beach restaurant at Copamarina always has great food. The staff at restaurant and spa are wonderful. Rent a kayak and paddle out to Gilligan's Island. Copamarina can be expensive but you can find specials/deals on some of the travel sites or even the hotel website. Wondering if the park next to the Copamarina was open? My kids used to love the park and it always had local families enjoying the beach and family. Most recently we were there several months after Maria and again March 2019 and the park was closed. The beach at the park was better than Copamarina and parking fee was $3-5. So sad if this park is not reopened. Playa Santa is another great beach. One of our favorites. Can be crowded on holidays or weekends. Restaurant near beach has Empanadas. In my opinion municipalities/municipios (ie counties in main land US) of Guanica, Lajas, and Cabo Rojo probably have some of the best beaches and the people are wonderful. I miss PR. Thanks for the great video.
Jen, thanks for the vids! Lots of fun. One suggestion: please put up a quick map with a pin showing where you are at the beginning of each video so we don’t have to look it up. Thanks!

I am Puerto Rican descendent, and I’m also an action pack film producer. I wanted to ask you what are the possibilities of Producing film’s in the Island 🏝? Please let me know, and I look forward to hearing from you! Best regards! Tony
Hey - I finally sat down and watched the longer collaboration video you did driving through the neighborhood... other than the wind noise I really enjoyed it... we looked for a community like that in PR when we were there a few years ago and definitely missed that one. :)
That is way too difficult. I have favorite beaches for swimming, scuba, snorkeling, and eating with a view. In no particular order (and probably missing a few); Luquillo beaches, Playa Buye, Boqueron, Crash Boat, Tres Palmas, Balneario Punta Salinas, Playa Pinones, Combate, and Cayo Icacos Details on jentheredonethat.com/category/travel/pr/

It is such a beautiful spot, the dry forest hiking is unique for the island.
Great video...about 2 years ago I did when to that light house..and it was still up...but like you said the quake took it down...
I wish I had visited a few years ago, when the walls were still intact.
Great video. Nice to see the area still looks nice despite the earthquakes. Looking forward to your scuba trip video.

Copa Marina it's a very nice place to stay, definitely. Just concern about the topography impacted by the recent movements.
All of the earthquake damage is repaired at Copa Marina, it is better than ever!
