No offense, but I prefer these kind of Fancy Drill presentation than the ones in Davao... although it's more common in all standard fancy drill showdowns specially the stereo-type formations and breaking of ranks are expected by the spectators. What is unique though, is to surprise the crowd every time you change the course and the synchronized movements. Like the ones we presented way back in 2001 at Palo, Leyte (12th National Jamboree) where we were forced to go on and continue for a full 25-minutes presentation instead of only 10-minutes limit due to the number of surprises and the hundreds of types of fancy drill commands. That is our secret, an almost unlimited marching figures executed with no repetitions of the ones being shown already except for the common flanking, troop maneuvers and the rear courses. all that for at least 24 of my scouts under my command. since I lacked the standard troop requirement of 32, I took the initiative by forming them into our signature Elite Wings - 3 layers (element) by 8 ranges (column). The difference between our scouts back then is that we used our own terminology and standard troop reporting, We wore the uniforms unlike the rest of the BSP and ofcourse it was more respectable and professional from head to toe. buckles and leather shoes like a mirror, SS Haircut, heights uniformed from 10-0, facial expressions are part of our quality, Type-Alpha were neatly tucked in, lower fabrics are properly trimmed, patches and loops on their rightful places, and I let them use the BSP standard caps nearly covering their eyesight so that they may be able to trust me wherever I direct them within the arena... much like a "Kalesa horse" method, BSP standard issue knives are optional but most troopers had them on their sides, and lastly... is their unmatched courtesy and discipline. and so they became legends in their own rights.... and most of the commands and figures we used were still in existence today from different schools. Aside from Fancy drill, we are also focused on basic Urban and Wilderness Survival Skills Development, reality scenario emergency response and improvisations, No electricity-No Stove-No Gadgets Outdoor camps and the usual scouting games and activities etc.. Too bad, my Lightning Troopers (Labangon-Talisay - Cebu Council - Falcon Federation Scouting Unit) were mostly married and had their own separate lives.... We cannot offer you a video since we cannot easily provide a video camera during our time... unlike today where we can easily grab an iPhone for a group selfie or a quick cam recording... but if anybody want to challenge me in any scouting matters or skills... I'm ready to answer the serious questions respectfully. By the way, you can also give credits for the Mabolo Scouting Unit (Cebu Council) because they were also legendary when it comes to fancy drill back in the 90's.... they were once the former signature holder of the fastest troops in the field......and that is where I began to create the Falcon Federation Scouting Unit of Labangon and Talisay Elementary schools under the guidance of the Sergian scouts of DSOSMNHS - Eagle Squadron. Thank you and have a good one scouts from ULS-USM HooorrraaahhHH!!!! more videos ----> impress us and be unique. Kodus
