No need to take the dash apart. Also, I tried to use a grounding point that was as hidden as possible :) You can definitely hook it up to other points if getting to this one is a pain. Working on anything in the Miata footwell requires some serious contortion lol
Hey brother, there's a 20A fuse a few notches down for the "Power Door Locks" which should work for your application. Also, make sure the 20A fuse is in the slot closest to the pins. Not having 'em in the right slot means the moment you try to unlock your door, the 3A fuse will blow out. Ask me how I found out lol

One question , what if you have a parking mode ? What fuse could you use to supply power while ignition isnt on?
