This channel BY FAR is the best anatomy channel out there. The software he uses and the way in which he highlights and describes structures makes things incredibly clear
anterior border: in midline- chiasmatic sulcus, laterally- post border of lesser wings of sphenoid posterior border: in midline- dorsum sallae, laterally- superior border of petromastoid part of temporal bone features and landmarks. body of sphenoid with greater wings on either side greater wings contain temporal lobe of brain BODY: sella turcica contains hypophyseal fossa , its anterior wall is called tuberculum sellae which contain middle clinoid processes, its posterior wall is called dorsum sallae and contains posterior clinoid processes. (anterior clinoid processes on lesser wings of sphenoid) GREATER WINGS: have several foramina and fissures i-superior orbital fissure ii-foramen rotundum iii-foramen ovale iv-foramen spinosum. v-foarmen lacerum vi-groove fro greater petrosal nerve
Thanks a lot for this video! It helped me understand the basic difference between foramen, fissure and fossa which I visually understood much better than a bookish definition! Could you please guide me to ur video (if already published) regarding "anterior surface of petrous temporal bone which comes under lateral aspect of middle cranial fossa"....I'm having a difficulty in understanding that part... without ur help...
