Thank you. 🙏🙏🙏 Yes, I guess it was relatively quiet in Dalat as far as traffic and horn honking goes. I don't think I noticed it in particular. There was some horn honking, but it didn't bother me in any way. I didn't really pay any attention to it.
I enjoyed my time in Dalat, that's for sure. And a friend of mine is there now. He rented a scooter from his hotel very easily, and he's been taking long trips in the countryside around Dalat and is raving about the experience.
@@PlanetDoug I love your travel videos for the itinerary of walking tours, food exploration and especially for using the public transportation getting around. Cheers from KL!
Doug, i think you feel so comfortable in Vietnam, good to see you happy and enjoying your stay there. Dalat is in my travel list after watching your nice video .
I generally don't mind bland food. I probably prefer it. And I don't often add any more spicing or sauces to food that I order. I just eat it the way it comes out of the kitchen. My philosophy is that if the dish is supposed to have a certain flavor or spiciness, then the cook should have made it that way. The cook knows how to make good food. They are the expert. And I would only make it worse by adding a whole bunch of extra chili sauce or extra spices. But when I had this snack, I was really surprised at how utterly tasteless it was. There was no flavor at all, and that really surprised me. So I was glad to learn that you really were supposed to dip this into the bowl of sauce. That's where all the flavor was hiding. And it made it much more enjoyable. So, this snack is an exception to my normal pattern of not adding extra spicing and extra sauces. This snack needs extra sauce and spices. 😀
@ a lot of Vietnamese dishes’s soul lie in the dipping sauce. Especially central’s food. I’m also glad that you found right way to eat bánh căn but if I were you I would just used the chopsticks to dip the whole thing under the sauce and eat it not just dipping half of it. There was plenty of sauce for a reason. Would love to see you continue to explore our cuisine in the future.
On an anxious note- Benjamin bolt (of bald and bankrupt) attending a podcast on invest like a bosse said he had started working on getting the views of his channel go up on 2019 in India and in six years now he's up to earning 3 million pounds in 6 years. I have been seeing you perhaps from 2018 from the burma series. This makes you a contemporary and a peer of the aforementioned. What's your fortune how much has your work crucially helping you
Unfortunately, despite doing this for a long time, I've never really found my groove. Nothing has ever really clicked for me on this TH-cam channel. And I've never really gotten better at making videos, particularly entertaining or popular videos. So, having this TH-cam channel has actually cost me a lot of money. It doesn't actually earn me any money. I enjoy doing it very much, and it has made my life better in many ways. Just not in any kind of financial sense. The irony is that looking at videos from Bald and Bankrupt, I can guarantee that I put in far more work than he does or ever has. It's probably not an exaggeration to say that in terms of hours, I devote probably a hundred times more work than he does. But he just struck a cord with people and a large number of people enjoy his videos and find them entertaining. But he doesn't seem to put in any effort at all. Work smart not hard, people say. Unfortunately all my instincts go in the opposite direction. 😀

Wonderful walk around amazing Dalat Doug, I actually booked a hotel you mentioned, it’s so popular that I was lucky to get a room for April 2025. Seems Dalat is getting very popular!
@@PlanetDoug So much I want to give some practical sure shot advice for a fix- unfortunately it is higher than my faculty to do so, but deep and sincere concern is something I cannot rid myself of. But for today- enjoy the blue skies overhead and the green foliage all about. Doug!
Was a small town, now a city.
Agreed, the sheer amount of hotels and guest houses in Dalat is immense but that also offers great pricing too.
Charming is Dalat and a fitting place for an exceptional Planet Doug exploration
Good one doug. I really like your walking toys videos the best. Cc
Great vlog Doug,.. I didn't notice much car horn use in Dalat.. At almost most every intersection in Vietnam car horns are blaring. Happy travels.

Excellent, one of your best videos
Enjoyed the tour quite a bit 😁. Thanks for the video.
Initially, wanted to do Bandung for the cool weather, but this video from Doug sealed the decision to go to Dalat.

@@PlanetDoug Well said. At the end of the day, one has to “like” what one does. In some cases, it may result in financial success.
