Fumihiko Tachiki, voice of everyone's favorite wild bastard Kenpachi from Bleach, wasn't too popular with this role among import fans at first. A lot of folks preferred Cam Clarke's voice truthfully (I do too, I grew up with Clarke's voice). Honestly, this is still one of Tachiki's odder roles, as it really didn't seem to fit his voice.
The old man voice for someone like Xemnas (Norio Wakamoto). He looks young, but it highlights the good old Xehanort-brand evil. That and he can somehow be hammy while being monotone.

It fits him because Kratos it's an guy of 4000+ years old. His voice have to be gruff because it needs to show his experience and tough personality..
