- Due to the nerfs and changes to renegade over the last few months I decided to update most of this guide. Still one of my favourite builds for PvE for sure!

the vindi power build is one of my favorite dps builds at the moment, and now you re-iterate on one of the classics. Great stuff mate! This build is a lot more accessible than the meta version and makes it so much easier to sustain.

Thank you for making this. As someone who is learning I don’t need to learn the highly complex perfectly executed sweaty rotation / build for months… just getting the basics down pat makes for a highly engaging, rewarding and calmer time. Really appreciated

Man, I sure appreciate that Anet made Ritualist (and Dragon) stat items so easy to get for people that don't have a lot of Legendary equipment already.

Right. You could make them yourself, but that's a whole other can of worms, and a massively unsatisfying grind.

@@Hiramekiza Can you though? Sure, you can make the armor and weapons, but what about the trinkets and jewelry? As far as I was able to find, there are NO exotic or ascended backpieces available with Ritualist stats. You MUST get a Legendary backpiece in order to select them. Your only options for the others are WvW, Strikes, or achievement rewards.
@@rolasmola9641 Not sure if it's been updated since this comment but the stat selectable ascended gear from Living World maps e.g. Bitterfrost Frontier can select Ritualist, so trinkets aren't that bad to get.

Wow I have been using the exact same build since I learned and main renegade for story and map exploration
Never really take it up to fractals or raid as I prefer reaper for those content and don't know how to rotate properly to get the most out of the build.
Anyway thanks for uploading this as now I know what the rotation for this build.

this easily became my main. its so nice to just swap the legends and not the weapons, and not having a strict rotation makes me usually top or one of the tops dps in fights like strikes and raids. not so much infractals cause the enemies die there much faster so all your conditions dont have the time to add to your dps but still really really nice build and easy to play imo

At the time i'm using Replenishing Despair & Permeating Pestilence to stack torment on myself and yeet it onto the enemie, along with up to 2 other condis.
But i'm also using Shiro instatt of Kala, since i'm not maxed out yet, so i might change this later.
Why is my torment duration the same as other condi at 73.54% while urs is 100% torment and 87.2 for the rest? its the exact smae build and i only get 22k dps
So how do you fit alacrity into the rotation, and has this build been nerfed or still the same?
Great build! One question I have to ask is that how does Invocation tree compare to Devastation? Namely the increased damage above and below certain %hp traits.
From my testing invocation is at least 8-10%-ish above devastation under fully buffed circumstances. Keep in mind that this percentage decreases the lower your base damage (i.e. your stats) is because the damage from battle scars doesnt scale strongly with your stats, so it'll make up for a larger percentage of your damage.
is there a other option for rune til got runes nightmare?
Hi Masel. Is 72% Boon Duration and 67% condition duration good enough for the alac build?
I know this is like 2 months after you commented but I think Ren needs a stupid amount of boon duration to have a viable alac build - like near 100%. You really should run DPS Alac Specter or Power Alac Mechanist if you wanna do an alac dps build, unfortunately. Maybe Ren will get some love on the big November 4th PvE balance patch.
For the rotation part, you say "use citadel bombardment and scorchrazor" but the pics on the screen are citadel bombardment and "spiritcrush" (sb 4), so do u mean shortbow 4 or 5?
Oh darn, that's a mistake on my part. I mean spiritcrush (the burning aoe) of course. I should stick to shortbow 2 3 4 to not make any mistakes

Thank you for the build. But have a question, maybe I need some guidence, would really appreciate your help.
Have full ascended viper (but breastplate, collecting last few resources), same runes, same food but different Tuning crystal (master tuning), but it should make a big difference. And I have only 61.93% of condi duration with 629 expertise which doesn't give me 100% of torment duration , while in the build from the link it's 77.2 with 633 expertise that in the end of the day gives 100% torment. Is there any breakpoint when u get tonn of condi duration after 630 expertise that you get from gear? :D
Or I am doing something wrong?
Upd: and I have found the reason. It's Pact of Pain trait, that increses duration in the builder and doesn't show anything in the game.
In this case I have another question: should I just train more to get same dps as you have? Because now I can't get more than 28.5k dps.
Also funny thing: I do the same 28.5k with koi cake and Meaty Asparagus Skewer

The 15% from pact of pain (corruption master trait) aren't shown in the hero panel ingame, so that's probably why you think you're missing condi duration but you aren't.
The gw2skills editor shows it, but it doesn't show ingame for whatever reason.
@@MaselMMO Is 28k solo the current benchmark for this class? I've been struggling to get it above 28k as well or am I missing something?
@@AsuraStriker my benchmark of around 32k is solo. With the Ideal gear setup you should be able to get there...
It's either a gear issue or something going wrong on the rotation.

Ive tried everything to mimic your rotation but i can only max out at 22k, full vipers ascended, nightmare runes, torment and geomancy for short bow toxic fusing crystals and meaty asparagus, but and di your rotation over and over and over, what do you think is my mistake? D: trying to hit 30+ with condi ren
It's hard to say without seeing a video, if you can make one and link it, that would help.
Geomancy sigil isn't great on this, you'd use earth. Geomancy does not trigger without swapping weapons, which I don't do in the rotation
personally i like shortbow + staff for very decent CC
Is there any good alternative to nightmare runes besides elementalist runes for condi build?
If you want something cheap, you can go for renegade runes and slap a sigil of demons + agony on your weapons to replace some of the condi duration. It'll cost you some dps, but should still get through most stuff just fine
@@MaselMMO thanks, man. But in the end, i went with the nightmare runes since i had enough dg currency to buy them. But since the nerf to rev healing and in full viper i feel so frail now. Damage is amazing but sustain is lacking... Anet messed up, our high sustain is not op if you think about the lack of active defenses like a guard or war would have. Still my main class but it's hard to solo champs unless i go trailblazer.
what set could I use until I get my hands on Vipers?
You can use dire or rabid, that's very cheap in comparison. You'll lose the condi duration from vipers, but it'll make do until you get vipers
Is it possible to build using divine gear, so I only have one set for quickness or allacrity?
I noticed that i thought you replied to the scrapper guide: you cam do that on Revenant, but you'd have to play power renegade for that which is a completely different build

Bleeding is boosted by power too? What a pity I've been playing little. and only copied builds without understanding how they worked.

Is it just me or your embrace of darkness radius is bigger than me, i felt like that was 360-600 while me got 240, don't know why
It shouldn't be larger, at least I wouldn't know why it would be :D
@@MaselMMO It may look larger because of the camera angle, redius is the same for all renegades in the game :D
No Rolling Mists? Not needing that extra crit? Thought for sure folks would jump on that fix? Ah never mind....you answered it. ;)
Yea it's good if you want some additional burst, but the conditions from Song of the mists just yield more damage for me on the condi build. On power it's roiling mists all the way
Condi renegade was my favorite until the Torment and battle scars nerfs.
Not much has changed tbh, it's still one of the most powerful OW builds due to it's range and insane damage/cc/healing

It's still fine for general play, but I found the damage lacking to tackle EOD effectively without the sustain.

Yup, you can.

I wouldn't advise you to, since they don't apply any damaging conditions

It's surely viable, but it's been outpaced by the crazy power creep that happened in the meantime
@@MaselMMO Ah, that's a shame. Seemed like such a fun build. I have a hard time playing anything sub-optimal, cause I can't help but think I'm hindering my gameplay deliberately.
@@Cannon361 you can do a very strong rotation involving mace + axe, and without changed mists (which leads to most of the complexity in the benchmark)

what is "with allies"?
"with allies" means that you'll only get the dps listed when you have allies with you that benefit from your presence. On Renegade, razorclaw's rage makes allies apply stacks of bleeding, but the damage from the stacks they apply is added to your damage in the game. Some classes have skills that work this way (specter/renegade/herald/firebrand) and therefore their damage potential is listed that way
need help master new in the game only how to get a short bow ? can i buy on npc the bow or i need to crafting thxs..
you can buy armor/weapons at trading posts or get one from enemies, but enemies drop stuff with random stats.
you can also craft, I don't know if it is worth crafting exotic things, since I see people using craft for ascendent
