    • @MAGVIVICREATIONS
      @MAGVIVICREATIONS  ปีที่แล้ว

      You're welcome, it depends on how full you want the lower part to be, but for average, 3 yards would do.

  • @graceantwi8622

    Pls is coming up by the 3 "" constant to every one n pls how can u calculate from ur waist to ur knee thx

    • @MAGVIVICREATIONS
      @MAGVIVICREATIONS  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're welcome, yes, the 3" is constant. The measurements from your waist to kneel is measured on your body.

  • @franciscaosheku1237

  • @adibellkamali1058

    Nice video but my question is how can one determine the hip point and knee point without mesuring

  • @urschursch3343
    @urschursch3343 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ma pls i have a question
    I dont want my shape to be pronounced on the skirt should i go ahead and add one inch and were should i add the inches to achieve a very free skirt?

    • @MAGVIVICREATIONS
      @MAGVIVICREATIONS  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      To make it free, I feel 1" is too much because the fabric would be on fold, so if you add 1", it means you're adding 2" to a panel, so use 0.5, that is half inch. You would add it to all the sides.

  • @rebeccaenemari1429
    @rebeccaenemari1429 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks ma,I understand you,but being a beginner the 2 inches allowance you added to the side panel can also be use to turn my fabric with lining without having shortage later on or i should still add fabric turning with lining separately?
    I will appreciate your response ma

    • @MAGVIVICREATIONS
      @MAGVIVICREATIONS  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're welcome, the 2 inches includes the allowance for turning the lining.

  • @urschursch3343

    Can i minus just half inch from the knee because i dont want to gumming to my body?

    • @MAGVIVICREATIONS
      @MAGVIVICREATIONS  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The reason for the 3" minus from the kneel is so that you can move freely, since you want your skirt free, the half inch would be ok.

    • @urschursch3343
      @urschursch3343 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MAGVIVICREATIONS thank you ma for replying but i meant from the hip to knee.
      Is minusing half inch ok
      I dont mean going up from the knee by 3"

  • @iffydavis8009
    @iffydavis8009 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If you add 2 inches to the side with hip at 3.25 on fold, it will become extra 4 inches when you open it; a total of 10.25. I think it will be too wide, being 6.5 + 10.5 + 10.5. I find it confusing.

    • @MAGVIVICREATIONS
      @MAGVIVICREATIONS  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thank you for watching. I perfectly understand you, you're right but the 2 inches is allowance, it can be smaller than that, I prefer using 2 because I will use half inch or half to join it to the center piece, then the remaining would be used at the sides, which can Also be trimmed. Remember I said you can use 1.5 or 2. I just like to have excess than shortage 😃 Don't worry I will make another tutorial on fabric, I will show how I sew it. Thank you.

    • @sandramende7237
      @sandramende7237 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I tried this method but I had to do some trimmings because the 2 seam allowance was too much 2SA means 4 inches for 1 panel I think 1SA will be ok having 2 SA for one panel thanks
