- Though one’s now starring in a drama, the other in a comedy, Lizzy Caplan (“Masters of Sex”) and Allison Janney (“Mom”) have both famously spent time in the other category - and agree that the lines are now getting blurred. Their back-and-forth banter at Variety’s “Actors on Actors” studio proved the point, as the actresses chatted about the thrill of doing theater, and the emotional toll of getting into character.

Lizzy Caplan is one of my all time favourite actresses. This is great.
This feels like a present watching these two amazing actors talking together.
i kinda love how lizzy and alison are both so willing to say something's terrifying or just yeah it's so human and humble to see them go "i'm not sure i can do that'
Allison Janney is just so captivating, always - what she talks about, the way she speaks, and how she listens to what other people say. And I would have loved to see her play Eleanor Roosevelt.
