A big game changer for me when I got hit by a gout attack was apple cider vinegar. Within 2 days it got better and disappeared after one week. Now I have made a habit of drinking 1 glass water with 3 tablespoons of ACV. Never had a problem with gout again.

I also drink ACV . Normally after a meal consisting of meats, seafood etc. 4 table spoons mixed with water. Wait 1hr before eating anything else . It works so not to much of a restricted diet or gout attacks.

@@reshavguleria7884 It was horrible pain and I had trouble walking. Ever since I have taken my daily vinegar lemonade, there has never been another case of gout. I actually like this daily drink, it is very refreshing. Apparently ACV also has a beneficial effect on blood sugar.

I wanted to let you know that I had been having constant gout attacks in my knees and heels. I had been eating white tuna fish every day as a diet aid. Someone told me one can a week was the new limit. I gave it up completely and a few months later I was gout free. Some people are also sensitive to processed foods like hot dogs, cold cuts, chicken Mc nuggets etc.

every time I have a flare up I go on a completely green vegetable diet. The inflammation really goes down pretty quickly. My theory is getting rid protein in your diet during a flare up makes it easier for the kidneys to filter out the uric acid faster.

Celery, Celery, and more Celery. It was February last year (2022) when I was suffering with gout, and I also had a fatty liver or (toxic liver). I came across a Dr. Bergs video of Celery benefits. I started drinking Celery juice every morning 1 cup. My gout was gone. February 11 this year (2023), I went back to my doctor, did the blood test he told me my liver is very clean. I still drink a cup of celery juice every morning. Thank you, Dr. Berg.

Hi guys!! I’m a living testimony of someone who have beaten gout. My doctor once told me I have chronic gout and have to go on life time medication using allupurinol. However , I gave intermittent fasting a try.. With reduced carb consumption. 16-8 . Had lots of red meat (which the doc told me strictly not to do). And I have been gout free for 2 years. My summary - intermittent fasting is the key and reduced carb. Understand that everyone’s body functions differently, but if you are suffering from gout - give this a try

Dr Berg, I have gout and I can feel it when my Uric acid level is high because of my big toe discomfort. I made this smoothie that you suggested in one of your videos, 2 cups of kale+ 1cup blueberries+ 1cup of full fat Kefir+ 1 cup water. I also started taking vitamin D and magnesium before bed which has really helped me sleep better as you suggested. A week later, I noticed the pain in my toe was gone. I had a complete physical last week, my uric acid level was completely normal. I’m not sure if it’s the smoothie or the magnesium supplement but I’m ecstatic!! Thank you so much Dr Berg!!!

My last flair was 6 months ago, when I had lost most of the weight. I still have tophi in many joints, hopefully those will disolve over time. I am disabled from gout. It's destroyed most of my joints. My ankles were first to go and I had to have them fused. Now I need both knees and shoulders replaced. Funny thing though I've never had a flare in my toes. Allopurinol gave me neuropathy and now I suffer horribly from that. I only drink water, don't eat meats and take celery seed every day. Doctors can't figure out why this happened to me and at such a young age. I'm older now but this happened in my 20's and I was disabled by my early 30s. I hate it for anyone suffering the pain like I have over the years. It's so much worse than any broken bone I've ever had.

Sorry to hear about your problems. You might have your free copper tested. The test number at the Oklahoma lab corp labs is 279071, but the number may differ at your lab. There's a copper binding gene called the ATP7B gene and many people have a defective gene, where the body doesn't properly bind the copper for elimination through the bile duct, which causes a buildup of toxic free or unbound copper in the body. The reason gout affects the joints is because the joints are the body's secondary copper storage. The body detects this free unbound copper as bad and sends uric acid to contain it. The reason things like organ meats, shellfish and mushrooms elevate uric acid is because they are high in copper. Studies have proven that free copper oxidizes xanthine into uric acid. The reason allopurinol lowers uric acid is because it is a copper chelator and lowers the copper. Quercetin, luteolin, curcumin and zinc are also copper chelators and will lower uric acid. If your free copper is elevated, 50 mg of zinc 3 times a day one hour before meals will lower it to a non toxic level in 9-12 months. This free copper test is different than a normal serum copper test and will measure the amount of unbound copper contained in the serum copper. Bound copper is non toxic and used by the body, but this unbound copper is like a heavy metal. Free copper was discovered after the genome was mapped and the ATP7B gene identified. So far they have identified over 400 mutations of this gene with varying degrees of severity. New research is also showing that just being a carrier of this gene can cause a copper binding problem. Anyway, when I saw that you had this gout problem at a young age, it made me think of free copper. This elevated free copper has also been linked with T2 diabetes, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and ALS.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. Wow, I never heard of gout destroying your joints and then never getting the gout in your toes.
You're young to have so many body parts replaced.
I have a suggestion for your neuropathy, if you have it in your legs/feet: Elevate your legs up against a wall, as close to 90 degrees as possible for 20 to 30 minutes DAILY.
This was suggested to me by my Podiatrist for my neuropathy in my left foot. It helped me, within 3 days it felt a lot better and within 3 weeks it was completely gone and has not returned for about 6 months now.
I still do the elevating of my legs because I actually feel pretty good afterwards, gives you good blood flow and many other benefits that I've noticed.
I hope this small suggestion helps you in some way.
KEEP researching yourself about your symptoms, see what other videos suggest and what other people's comments say about their situation with gout. I wish you the best on YOUR health journey. 💖

Incredibly painful flares in my right big toe and left ankle. Pain so bad I can’t even have a bed sheet in my feet. I take one tbls of baking soda 3x per day until my belching stops.
It’s a low pH issue and I get rid of it in hours, usually relief starts happening in hours.
It’s got salt in it ‘sodium bicarbonate’ which helps bring it down while the bicarbonate raises your pH.
Also, take your shoes off and walk in the grass to neutralize your pH.
All his comments are very good and you should do everything he says but, if you want extremely fast pain relief use baking soda until you quit belching.
The reaction between baking soda and your acid creates gas’s that need to get out so it’s normal to belch and fart until the reaction is over ~15 minutes.

Last year he was diagnosed with stage one prostate cancer, he underwent intense photon radiation treatments with amazing success (he was also fasting). His psa is now below 3. And his gout is completely gone. He thinks there is a link and that gout may be your body telling you that your body is developing cancer. One of his nurses at the cancer center (the Couric Cancer Center at UVA) also suffered from gout and complained to him about it. He advised her, based on his experience, to get checked for cancer in places where women get cancer. Indeed they found cancer, fortunately still in its early stages and she was successfully treated for cancer and her gout disappeared as well. He is from a family of physicians but not one himself, he is a very successful businessman. Wondering whether anyone else has made this connection between gout and cancer.

I was getting intense kidney pain after eating high gluten foods, it would wake me up from sleep and I'd be so uncomfortable I thought I was dying. Then I stopped eating those foods and immediately no more pain. But I was eating a lot of meat around that time and with the inflammation I started getting uric crystals forming on my scalp, then I formed a tophus on my left big toe and it's awful. So much pain at times and I have to release the buildup of jelly like pus or else I can't even have a blanket resting on it. I'll try your suggestions. I've been waiting to get the stuff in there surgically removed but hopefully the diet changes will dissolve it. Cheers from BC, Canada 🙏

Thanks so much for the video... I'm prone to gout, as anything, it seems my father has issues with, I do, as well. Glad you're talking about this because even though I didn't have an inflamed big toe, while doing keto and IF, I woke up with extreme knee pain, I could hardly move it without intense pain. A few weeks later, I awoke in the early morning hours with such pain, that I could barely get out of bed. I knew it was a high amount of uric acid in my system, so intense, that my husband took me to the ER. I explained my diet to the Dr and thought maybe it was a uric acid stone, perhaps. My results came back the next day and although my urine wasn't extreme acidic, it was over the normal amount. The fluids they gave me at the er helped and my pain was alleviated. I had let myself become dehydrated. I find it interesting how some people are more prone to uric acid build up. My dad is 80, myself 53, we are both short in stature, just something to ponder. We also both have had ruptured appendix at very young ages, shorter fingers which we also feel uric acid build up when we wake up in the mornings. He has had heart problems and I appreciate the video and know now what to include in my diet to help. You are amazing and have changed my type II diabetic husband's life, as well as mine...we have lost a combined total of over 100 lbs since beginning keto and IF and we LOVE your supplements. Thank you from SC!

actually this story is about my personal experience taking high doses of vitamin d and a because my platelets were very low and decreasing rapidly. my mother used to tell me i had eczema since birth. i was born underweight and breastfed for 1 year. so its probably genetic. you discussed polymorphism regarding vitamin A and D in your videos. i took the tablet having 200,000 iu vitamin D and 40,000 Iu vitamin A along with kefir. this dosage didnt let my eczema come back for about a week. i took this tablet once a week for 3 months.
i wanted to ask you is it possible than genetic eczema is actually caused by polymorphism of Vitamin A and D receptor genes? please make a video on this.

the kidneys and heart needs potassium to function
organic sodium (from celery) and organic potassium neutralize acids and dissolves toxins
inflammation is due to calcium being out of solution
a lack of organic sodium causes calcium to be pulled out of the joints
    causing arthritic issues
    inorganic sodium is the problem
