This is such a fascinating aria. It's so easy to make it sound all romantic and clichéd while forgetting that Don Jose is a psychopath who's showing his murderous tendencies even in this piece. Always funny when music companies release "opera love songs" albums with pieces like this or the Don Giovanni-Zerlina duet on it.
