Mahn these soapy players now won't take a constructive critique of their game do u think they will even respect advice like this... After all this players now days would just do a couple of dribbles and shoot a 3.. Smh
+Nicklas Mudymba with ease??? I mean I agree that Shaq would beat Howard obviously, but don't you think Dwight would do something, I mean he's a 3 times defensive player of the year
Dwight is not guarding shaq, especially in his Orlando days. That guy was averaging 20+ points in his rookie year, then jumped to almost 30 in his 3rd year. As a matter of fact, the league in the 90s was dominated by big men and the standard of big men were far higher back then than they are today. Dwight wouldn't even play center in the 90s, he'd be coming off the bench as a power forward at best.
Fact: Of all the top 50 NBA all time scorers, these 2 guys (Shaq and Chuck) are number 1 and number 2 in two point FG%. They are literally the best post up/two point shooters of all time.
Wilt averaged 50 points and 25 rebounds in one season. 100 points. 55 rebounds. Ran a 40 in 4.4 seconds. Bench pressed 500+ pounds (ask Arnold Schwarzenegger). Had a vertical of apparently 50 inches (he was a track and field star). Average height of centers back then was 6'10''.
Just som examples of the competition he played against: Walter Dukes (7'0", 220 lbs.) Swede Halbrook (7'3, 235 lbs.) Tom Boerwinkle (7'0", 265 lbs.) Bob Lanier (6'11", 265 lbs.) Darrall Imhoff (6'10", 220 lbs.) Otto Moore (6'11", 210 lbs.) Sam Lacey (6'10", 235 lbs.) George Johnson (6'11", 245 lbs.) Paul Ruffner (6'10", 230 lbs.) Dick Cunningham (6'10", 245 lbs.) Walt Bellamy (6'11", 225 lbs.) Leroy Ellis (6'10", 210 lbs.) Nate Thurmond (6'11", 235 lbs.)
He used to dunk from teh free throw lines for his free throws in high school. He would start at the top of the key, throw the ball up toward the basket, take two steps, jump toward the rim and jam the ball through the net. Doing this resulted in basketball rules to state that a player cannot cross the plane of the free-throw line when shooting a free-throw.
he's one of those low post players who is notable for doing a lot with limited height, kind of in the mold of undersized 70s forward-centers like unseld, reed and cowens.. he had some post game and could rebound really well.
The reason for less post up big men like shaq is because of international competition. Teams overseas run pick and roll and pick and pop cuz their big men space the floor out. NBA players had trouble guarding the pick n roll/pop in Olympics so that's why there's less big men with a strong post game.
everybody used to talk about shaq like he was just big,now i think people can see the difference between one physical specimen like shaq and another like dwight.....shaq knew HOW to position himself and react to the defense to get himself in the best spot possible, dwight plays like an oversized guard who like the face up game and takes too many dribbles in traffic
Oh i don't know ball? First off, shaq played against those guys when he first came into the league with the magic. He was an ultra talented center, but had so much to learn when it came to being great. He even said it in a 2005 documentary. he finally reached he full potential with the lakers. And by then, Those bigs that you stated, were past their prime. SHaq had no true competition at center when he was in his prime. Dont question me about my favorite player.
during shaqs was his prime, there were alot of great centers, i know Tim duncan is a PF but he plays center alot, Hakeem Olajuwon, rasheed wallace,,,, etc i dont even wanna name em all out, no dwight wouldnt be #2 sorry maybe if he was drafted by bobcat he might be the starting center
Haha Shaq said "I would use I little Geometry to see how they are going to play me"... Thats cuz Phil and that triangle offense stuck with him after he left.....
That is basically saying shaq in his prime would fill every Center position on every team. Cmon man. Shaq in his prime faced jason collins... I dont even need to repeat that. Dwight would be in the league. And he would be the number 2 big in the game if shaq were in his prime.
Nice to see Shaq give credit to Charles in how to position in the post.
Shaq saying something nice about Chuck is a 'For the first time in forever' moment
Think of it this way: Shaq’s rookie year was Chuck’s MVP season. He got to experience Prime Barkley and it likely left and impression on him
You kidding? Prime Shaq would EAT prime Dwight alive, it's not even a comparison.
in shaqs eyes Dwight transforms to a big piece of BBQ chicken
+Alec C I like that.
Phoenix Suns Shaq would gobble Dwight
chuchuchuchia stop it lol
You kidding me dont have to be tall to post up Barkley would eat Dwight
I miss these segments. Two of the GREATEST players that will ever take the court. Shaq & Chuck
this is the stuff i would love them to show more often; knowledge from REAL nba players who were super/stars
Mahn these soapy players now won't take a constructive critique of their game do u think they will even respect advice like this... After all this players now days would just do a couple of dribbles and shoot a 3.. Smh
yeah in their primes shaq would kill dwight howard, hell rookie shaq would kill dwight in his prime.
+Mst3kfanatic1 McHale would kill Howard today. Howard's post is a shambles.
Dwight wouldn't even play center in the 90s, he'd be coming off the bench as a power forward at best.
HZ Dwight was more athletic than Shaq, it's already been proven.
@@benwallace5364 in a soft league.
I learn so much about the technicalities of the game by listening to these guys. Shaq is under rated as an analyst.
Rookie Shaq averaged more points, blocks and rebounds than Dwight's prime lol come on cuh
Jack Burton so dwight u sayin howard is better
@Jack Burton ur on crack if u think dwight is better
i like how chuck isnt even very tall considering that hes among the top3 PFs of all time.
I wish that they would still do these segments.
"Jump hook, automatic"....misses shot lol
Lol, I noticed that too. Wonder why the guys on the set didn't give give him grief about it.
Sako Khatchikian Yeah, he was a dunker for a reason...lol
Sako Khatchikian Yeah, he was a dunker for a reason...lol
Sako Khatchikian shaq dunked on every1 lol
pickzkickz he's old and he also don't need to score to prove the point that if he put effort into it he would've scored no problem
All of OG NBA teaching movement ❤️🔥🙏
"Jump hook. Automatic"
Then misses a shot.
Free throw. Misses. Automatic.
Fact: Of all the top 50 NBA all time scorers, these 2 guys (Shaq and Chuck) are number 1 and number 2 in two point FG%. They are literally the best post up/two point shooters of all time.
like how they can be so serious and so funny at times. love these guys
Damn Kenny that was a smooth ass pass....
Average height of centers back then was 6'10''.
dang.. how in the world did chuck make a HOF living being a 6'5 big man...
Prime Shaq would obliterate prime Howard. Not close.
+Phillip Fitchew Rookie Shaq would obliterate Prime Dwight honestly. lol
I can't believe that was even a serious question, and I love both of them.
This was a great part of the show
I wish they would do this more often!
The beginnings of shaq and chuck getting on big guys on the league to be great.
1:29 "hehe"
Is making that sound part of the move?
Nothing like watching a few legends casually teaching the game
2 of the all time great post players💯
"Going hunting at the zoo."
1:35 Those are some hall of famer skills right there.
Just som examples of the competition he played against:
Walter Dukes (7'0", 220 lbs.)
Swede Halbrook (7'3, 235 lbs.)
Tom Boerwinkle (7'0", 265 lbs.)
Bob Lanier (6'11", 265 lbs.)
Darrall Imhoff (6'10", 220 lbs.)
Otto Moore (6'11", 210 lbs.)
Sam Lacey (6'10", 235 lbs.)
George Johnson (6'11", 245 lbs.)
Paul Ruffner (6'10", 230 lbs.)
Dick Cunningham (6'10", 245 lbs.)
Walt Bellamy (6'11", 225 lbs.)
Leroy Ellis (6'10", 210 lbs.)
Nate Thurmond (6'11", 235 lbs.)
nba players should watch this. two of the greatest post players of all time are teaching them a lesson
Elevator Ernie slappin the floor...classic
He used to dunk from teh free throw lines for his free throws in high school. He would start at the top of the key, throw the ball up toward the basket, take two steps, jump toward the rim and jam the ball through the net. Doing this resulted in basketball rules to state that a player cannot cross the plane of the free-throw line when shooting a free-throw.
Why is Ernie smacking the floor so funny 😂😂
When legends talk you listen
"jumphook,"
*misses*
"automatic."
Man these guys are waaaay smarter then theyre given credit for. Love their thinking
That Kenny no look pass tho 3:02
he's one of those low post players who is notable for doing a lot with limited height, kind of in the mold of undersized 70s forward-centers like unseld, reed and cowens.. he had some post game and could rebound really well.
Shaq would make dwight cry bruh
+Monee Boiii Definitely!!
+Monee Boiii he would grease him up with that elbow juice then drop 28
Alec C eeeeasy
Kenny's no-look touch pass,
favorite move all-time.
Post moves were nice too...
The Ernie floor slap was lit
I have no idea what they're talking about but I'm hypnotized
As much as Chucks speaking would tell you otherwise, he's extremely switched on to the game of basketball
It's hilarious how Charles looks so small next to Shaq even though he's like 6'8"
2:08 7 points a "coodah" Shaq's New Jersey coming out lol
the dream was a beast. when shaq was asked who he thought was the greatest center of all time, he said hakeem olajuwon
Great, great players there!
I love Dwight but Shaq would call him BBQ chicken if they played against each other
Young guys, listen to Chuck he knew the post! Shaq had one move, back his ass down an try to dunk! If you want to be the best, go watch Hakeem!!!!!
kenny saying "dunks" at 2:00 sounded french asf
charles pants are 5 sizes bigger
No question, stop the argument in who would win between Shaquille & d12. Shaq would dominate Howard inside & outside coz shaq got some jump shots too
Jump shots?-No. But would he dominate?-Absolutely!
Man I watched these video in high school!
These guys are Basketball scholars.
+Jason C. nah just comes from being veterans in their field
Mst3kfanatic1 Shaq is one of the best players ever.
They look like the most dominant Maths teachers of all time.
(continued)
Clyde Lee (6'10", 210 lbs.)
Walt Wesley (6'11", 230 lbs.)
Henry Akin (6'10", 225 lbs.)
Hank Finkel (7'0", 240 lbs.)
Lew Alcindor aka Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (7'2", 225 lbs.)

Johnny “Red” Kerr (6'9", 230 lbs.)
Bob Pettit (6'9", 220 lbs.)
Shaq would terminate d12
Every big man should watch this
The reason for less post up big men like shaq is because of international competition. Teams overseas run pick and roll and pick and pop cuz their big men space the floor out. NBA players had trouble guarding the pick n roll/pop in Olympics so that's why there's less big men with a strong post game.
Chuck "if you wanna play behind me, I'd prefer that"
Haha Bernie always makes me laugh when he has to 'play ball' he gets weird about it like at 0:38 mark.
Big Shaq!!!! 😯☺️
(continued)
Spencer Haywood (6'9", 230 lbs.)
Rick Roberson (6'9", 230 lbs.)
Luke Jackson (6'9", 240 lbs.)

1:36 "automatic"
Please count the total number of dribbles in this video.
How do you post up those big women in San Antonio?
1:50 chuck got shaqs pants on! Lol
Top 2 power post up player of basketball history
oooh, that makes sense, thanks!
I think current Shaq would still overpower Dwight.
They could talk about this stuff for days
How many people know how to score points in the nba and can score in the (paint)? reply
didnt shaq played and dominanted hakkem, ewing, robinson, mourning, sabonis, yao and other greats?
dwight wouldn't be able to post either of them
everybody used to talk about shaq like he was just big,now i think people can see the difference between one physical specimen like shaq and another like dwight.....shaq knew HOW to position himself and react to the defense to get himself in the best spot possible, dwight plays like an oversized guard who like the face up game and takes too many dribbles in traffic
0:43 lol earnie tough defense *smacks the ground*
"Andrew Bynum has that" yeah shaq's right because that's the move Bynum used on shaq after he got dunked on lol
Dwight has a running hook?
chuchuchuchia dwight looks awkward doing the running hook and it's not that accurate, but he does have it in his arsenal
during shaqs was his prime, there were alot of great centers, i know Tim duncan is a PF but he plays center alot, Hakeem Olajuwon, rasheed wallace,,,, etc i dont even wanna name em all out, no dwight wouldnt be #2 sorry maybe if he was drafted by bobcat he might be the starting center
He has already.
They know basketball.
Please Tell Me Kenny Didn't Say That
I love how shaq missed a shot 2 feet away
Haha Shaq said "I would use I little Geometry to see how they are going to play me"... Thats cuz Phil and that triangle offense stuck with him after he left.....
chuck grabbed shaq suit by accident
"hunting at the zoo" lmfao
Shaq was a beast! no comparison with Superman.
:(
Sorry Clark :(
Shaq is Superman
Shaq's touch has most definitely left his ass! Every time he takes a shot on here he misses😂
That is basically saying shaq in his prime would fill every Center position on every team. Cmon man. Shaq in his prime faced jason collins... I dont even need to repeat that. Dwight would be in the league. And he would be the number 2 big in the game if shaq were in his prime.
ernies like "fuck i gotta gaurd kenny"
Why they all have such a big pants?
When you put him next to MJ, Mj is taller, he is kinda 6'5" without shoes.
to that last question man, dwight wouldnt be in the nba if shaq was at his prime
It doesn't mean they should just abandon the art of post play though.
Dude is Shaq wearing house slippers :)
Sir Charles looks like a little boy 😂
OMG You made my day xD
goats
Post up Clinic
Shaq would throw D12 around like a rag doll... as he did with almost everyone
Idk Kenny acts like he was such a god pg
