Hi. how do you get to display those x y z axis arrows? They don't show up when I click the object. I'd like to mode the objects from the center and not the corners. Thanks!

Is there a way to move an object orthogonally to a point or surface without having the object you're moving actually touch the snap point?
For instance, at 4:24 instead of doing what you did, you wanted to move that pyramid straight up (z) and have it's peak and the peak of the cone aligned. Or, as an example of surface snapping, perhaps I had an object in a perfect x,y position but needed to have it aligned to another surface. Is it possible to move it only along z and designate the object surface target as the z axis?
PS I swear this is much easier than I am able to explain. Hopefully you understand my question.

PinappleDave2000 if I'm following you move to one of the orthogonal viewports (front or right) select the pyramid and use the "align" command. Choose "top" then with object snapping turned on you should be able to just hover your mouse over the cones top and it will snap! Hope that helps!
