Dom’s suggestion of ceding territory is utter nonsense! We need, in our political arrangements, honesty, truth, clarity and dependability; not duplicity however well intentioned. At the beginning of the podcast each time I cringe when I hear PM Sunak say his piece! Putin’s idea that sovereignty is delible would simply be confirmed. We could perhaps allow NATO troops a sabbatical - but then we’d have to arm them and we’re not very good at that .
Keep it up, I never miss an episode
And sholtz has just given a reason for Russia to retaliate against the UK.

Nice lateral thinking Dom... I like the "temporary ceding" idea... just have to be careful it doesn't end up as permanent or partition...

So wait up here, us sending troops to Ukraine is NOT threatening Russia with war?
So wait up here, Russia can send troops to Ukraine without threatening war? 😂
@@JonathanRootD So wait. NATO installed a puppet regime in Ukraine in 2013 and started shelling civilian ethnic Russians in Donetsk and Luhansk is not threatening Russia with war?
There won't be a problem if russia leaves, they weren't invited anyway.

48:55 I love that idea, selling portions of Ukraine to her NATO neighbours. What a rude surprise for Putin. That idea is inspired.
Edit: spelling.
Yeah, Ukrainians are very thrilled to the point of getting mad at their allies for even suggesting that crap.
British soldiers are helping to launch Ukrainian missiles, Olaf Scholz said.
The German Chancellor has been criticized for "blatant misuse of intelligence" that could endanger British personnel on the ground and help the Russians.
Is this true? Russia doesn’t want threats of the war. If the salacious lust for money wasn’t prioritized, there would be no conflict.
Anyone would protect their selves.
Russia doesn't want a war.
Putin unfortunately does..

With each episode I listen to of Ukraine The Latest, I am learning more and more of Ukraine and her people. What a proud nation, and definitely a nation worth saving. I'm very ashamed and angry at our US House of Representatives not doing what it needs to do today to give Ukraine's military everything it needs to rid their land of those evil Russians. We Americans want to help Ukraine. It's the stupid MAGA people that are holding back the help.😡

I was accused as a 17 year old of not being able to read a Polish newspaper by my uncle in Communist Poland whilst Russian Generals casually walked Polish railway platforms feet from me! When is the UK going to step up when it comes to military and humanitarian aid for Ukraine? Why do they hide behind Germany and the USA when it comes to aid? How many Artillery shells are currently produced in the UK, to be send to Ukraine? I always hear them talking about European and especially Germany effort but some updates on the present and future support by the UK would be great for a change. To be fair, France's contribution looks even more embarrassing than the UK's.
There are some western accents that i had difficult to understand, but this English-speaking is clear to understand, my normal English language 😂😂😂
As Ukraine falls double down on the propaganda 😅😅😅😅
A majority of the world doesn't support the sanctions on Russia, so any discussion on even more sanctions as some effective measure is deluded, at best. Seems like a lot of grasping at straws and wishful thinking as solutions to this conflict. How about just accept defeat before things get exponentially worse for Ukraine. Really poor leadership on the NATO/Ukraine side.
Dream on, Ivan.
This is what zealotry creates. They’re deluded.
Riiight. A majority of the world supports RuZZia. In fact they would love Ruzzia to be their neighbour 😂😂😂😂

Francis, that's an outstanding commentary on Putin's threat to the West, and then following up with Landisbergis's truth-to-power message. But PLEASE PLEASE cite it, so others can find it and read it. I tried a search but came up with nothing. Was it an op-ed, perhaps? Please properly cite these things. Ostherwise, bravo on covering this. Nothing in the US media on Landisbergis's statement. Shame on my country for whining about being "fatigued".
